Paj! Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 I really want to post a jacket I want from Uniqlo, but it's £60 (decent price - but it's £60 I can't spend If I want to eat. Until November 1st). I went on their site to find a pic to show, but the jacket was nowhere to be found, and I saw an E-advert about new seasons in Men's jackets...I'm scared the jacket will cease to exist by the time I get the money. I also want to get my ear/s pierced/hair dyed/tattoo'd. And I need more trousers/jeans. I have a genuine lack of decent clothes. P.S This post should be in the materialism thread, but it's closed, so deal.
Daft Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 I wanted to buy some sunglasses. They were £160. It's really the wrong time of year but I love them. I also have two other pairs of sunglasses so I definitely don't need them. I want them. ...I won't get them, though.
Frank Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 You must really like your glasses, Any pictures of them? £160 is quite the price tag

I can't ever see any in shops that I'd actually like to wear.
Ashley Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Paj this is the thread you asked for :p And I want too many things to list. Although I suppose I want a job most of all to afford the things I want.
Ellmeister Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Someone change that Thread title. It reads weirdly to me!
Shorty Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 I believe the common phrase is "I want never gets" but you know, I'm really busy. Plus, some chavs wanted to win the lottery and did. So it's all BS.
Ashley Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Its a colloquial (motherly) expression. Also the name of a Chris Evans radio show apparently.
Raining_again Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 I want more piercings but I can't bear the thought of the pain to heal them.. I want my account to not be overdrawn... but christmas is coming!

I can't ever see any in shops that I'd actually like to wear. I know you did it years ago, but I was never in the mood to get ear piercings. But then my friend Sean has compel and MC for 6 of his 8 clicks. It's so hard when you can't find the energy.
Dannyboy-the-Dane Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 I have a bunch of stuff I want to buy. A nice paycheck is rolling in the middle of next month, though, so I'm just being patient.
killer kirby Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 I need to buy a lot of stuff, now I lost all the weight I wanted nothing in summer fits me so I have to spend a loooooot of money on clothes, aaaand of course through the one year I have started to take interest in what I think looks cool and stylish on me so now I am spending even more money on clothing from different brands. Plus registration for me car is coming up $500 yaaaaay
Daft Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 You must really like your glasses, Any pictures of them? £160 is quite the price tag Had they been £30 I'd have dived at them. I don't mind spending that much on sunglasses, it's not like they get worn down over time. My big pair of sunglasses cost £200+ - I didn't pay for them but I get why someone would. This pair in my FB profile pic but I can't be bothered to post them here since FB seemed to have removed the external link think for photos. They don't particularly suit me but it is a look, and I like it.
Serebii Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 I want a lottery win ;; Got my eye on a really nice flat, but I can't afford it...I could if I win the lottery
nightwolf Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Right now I can honestly say I want for nothing, there is nothing I need per say, just stuff I'd like, my christmas list for example (my mother forced me to write one.) has 5 items for £30 or less, three books, a bean bag and a cushion. The only stuff I do want our out of my spending privileges, such as a job.
Daft Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Oh, yeah, I mean 'I want' as in imaginary billionaire flippantly wants stuff. Just for the record, I also want to be in my holiday castle in the Bahamas.

Daft Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Oh, and my castle is made out of Skittles. That are super healthy for you...but still taste amazing.
Paj! Posted October 24, 2010 Author Posted October 24, 2010 It's fine, everyone! I've discovered the jacket is fact Uniqlo's new favourite item! I just wasn't searching the site properly. It looks ugly in the picture, but looks nice on me/people. I need to go try on all the colours though. Blue could be calling out to me.
Paj! Posted October 25, 2010 Author Posted October 25, 2010 EW NO I hate puffa jackets (what I call them) - the point is these ones have no puff. They're thin, like a normal jacket. Otherwise I'd steer well away.
The Bard Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Uni Qlo is like Japan's equivalent of Primark. Actually, makes me consider how much incredibly overpriced foreign export we swallow for the novelty, irrespective of quality. I was listening to a Japanese sludge rock band I quite love - Boris - and wondering whether I like them simply because they're so detached from the conventions I'm used to. Although, I still buy a ton of stuff from Uni Qlo. Mostly gaming shirts though =p
chairdriver Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 It's better quality than Primark -- I think Japan just has higher standards in general.
The Bard Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 True, but that's because overseas its a relatively small, specialist chain compared to Primark, so they're not gonna stock all the budget goods. Unfortunately most of the stuff there is also designed for a Japanese frame. None of the Jeans fit me, mostly because my body shape doesn't resemble a pitch fork.
