Trailers and Openings - Your Picks

'Other consoles' videogame trailers and openings from this generation, what are your picks? I have three, spoilered below. DO THEY EVEN WORK? Has Youtube changed or something, I can't get the tags to work for some reason?

From:

Motorstorm: Pacific Rift - opening

Fantastic narration at the start and musical build up. The exclamation of Motorstorm prior to the awesome montage really makes it. The Qemists make it all this trailer pretty special.

Fallout 3

Everyone must know this trailer. The iconic Ink Spots song, the gradual camera panning, THE HEAD TURN! Then the best phrase ever 'War...War never changes'. All that, followed by a then imminent release date, and of course the massive bearing a Fallout announcement has in general is not to be sniffed at. B-e-a-uuutiful.

Resistance 3

Yes this is biased, but I've watched that trailer so many times now. The perfect blues track, subtle foreshadowing, snapshots of evil, familiar Resistance sirens and weapons. Crescendo action sequence. Finishing with the title of a Halo-beater ;D

Omnomnom. The vibe of the series makes me tinkle involuntarily.

So what are your favourites?

What makes a great trailer? (IMO = throwbacks, awesome music, revealing content)

Will you be rallying with a watermelon in order to subdue the turbo buster against yellow-topped curtain machines?

Find out, after the break.

I'd agree with most of these choices. That Halo 3 trailer and the stuff Konfucius posted (sorry br0) didn't do anything for me though.

The Creed2 one works really well with the sound and action, has a good rhythm, makes it pretty damn badass.

Anyway, at least make some comments peeps! Can't just have a boring video post session.

I have to post another trailer from Fallout, this time New Vegas. It's something about the 1950s American song choice, the way it's distorted through the crippled robot. Plus the fact that it's an ironically happy song playing during killings in a post apocalyptic city.

I'm trying to think of some less obvious, smaller games that have great trailers. Hmmmz. There must've been a fair few charmingly awesome PS2 trailers I've seen...
