dan-likes-trees Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Hipsters Unite!! One of the most anticipated albums of the year has hit the web, so to speak. Streaming from their site is likely to follow if recent leaks are anything to go by. Anyway, it sounds great so far, alot of good reviews as well. Jury's still out on how they'll fare at Reading with a crowd of 16 year old Libertine fans Love / like / indifferent / bored?

Will the new album have Fanny McCreedy singing?
Wesley Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 (edited) I loved their last two albums. I'm pumped. *torrents* EDIT: Before anyone mentions, I will buy it. They are my second favourite band from Montreal. After The Dears. Edited July 23, 2010 by Wesley
Platty Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 16 year old Libertine fans? That means a lot of those kids were into the libs when they were 8-10 years old? I think the libs crowd will be slightly older like me or of course just recently got into them But anyway yeah I'm looking forward to Arcade Fires new album. I'm not gonna stream or download it though, I'm gonna buy it and play it as it should be, I never download music even paid for. Some weird OCD thing I have of needing to have the physical copy with the artwork etc. Love the previous two albums and they were amazing when I saw them headline Latitude in 2007.
Charlie Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Can't wait for this album! Thanks for the heads up! I love the song, The Suburbs. In fact, I just remembered that I was listening to it last night whilst walking home. They are such a great band, very original. Really want to see them live but when they came to Glasgow a few years ago I wasn't really into them that much. Wish I'd gone see them anyway!
Dyson Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Oh god YES. Thanks dude, gonna have to check it out tomorrow. Been extremely excited for this album after Suburbs and Month of May, and cannot wait to see them at Reading!
Dyson Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 This album is awesome. Since getting it at 1am last night I've been listening to it endlessly whenever listening to music has been a possibility. It's just superb.
not_so_tiny Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 This album is awesome. Since getting it at 1am last night I've been listening to it endlessly whenever listening to music has been a possibility. It's just superb. Same here, I've had the album on repeat for about three days now. I can't get enough of it. I think my favourite songs atm are Sprawl II, City With No Children and Month of May, but it's all brilliant.
dan-likes-trees Posted July 28, 2010 Author Posted July 28, 2010 Pretty much agreed with everyone. May even be their best yet.. Ready to Start, Month of May, and Suburbs II are all brilliant. Sometimes I can't believe it I'm moving past the feeling again..
Dyson Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 The Suburbs and Month of May feel as fresh as when I first heard the two track Vinyl. I love it.
Dan_Dare Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 I loved their last two albums. I'm pumped. *torrents* EDIT: Before anyone mentions, I will buy it. They are my second favourite band from Montreal. After The Dears. Yes! The Dears are ace.
Haden Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Came out on Itunes today gave it a listen to, is superb!
Fierce_LiNk Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 I didn't really listen to much off Neon Bible. Loved Funeral, and it was one of my favourite albums of the time. This could be a sign for me to get back into them.
Tellyn Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Just got this for £3.79 from Amazon. I haven't listened to Arcade Fire before, it seems promising though!
Ellmeister Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 I like it. Thought I'd check this out after reading you lot rave on about it. At first I didn't know what to expect. I think some of the lyrics are superb, and they accentuate the best parts. Living in a city with no children.. something like that :p Glad I checked this out. Is it worth listening to old albums as well then?
Platty Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 Dropped through my letterbox this morning from Play. Loving it so far. Ellmeister, Defo get the older albums. You won't be disappointed.
