Mundi Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Its going to follow the Marvel version of the character. Seeing as this is a Marvel production and Thor will appear in the Avengers film, also a Marvel production. It has been known ever since they said: "Hey we are making a film about Thor!"
chairdriver Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Yes, there is no ambiguity involved, considering Thor has been a headline Marvel Comics character for over 50 years, with his own mythos, and the film is produced by Marvel.
ReZourceman Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 I prefer the womanising Savage Dragon version of Thor. He loves raping women, stealing their rape babies and killing them if they refuse. Or is that Herakles. I forget. All the god's are dicks in it though.

I don't know much about Norse mythology, but in Greek mythology, pretty much all the so-called heroes are dickheads. Save Hector. Hector's actually a great guy.

Retro_Link Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 (edited) Oh bollocks, in an attemp to watch the teaser trailer again I pretty much just watched all of the latest trailer! WHY was it labelled on youtube as teaser trailer #1 (or similar)! Who'll be seeing this in 3D? It's post production 3D yeah? Edited January 18, 2011 by Retro_Link
ReZourceman Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 I don't know actually. I saw the 3D trailer with Tron and it actually looked fairly nice. Won't mind TOO much though.
Retro_Link Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 fuck post 3D- either go all out or GTFO.I don't blame them with this film though... Thor isn't exactly the most known superhero [/understatement] to the general public, so if they can draw people to see the film with 3D then it's all good in my book. It'll help them in the long run with the rest of their vision and get people to see Captain America and The Avengers etc... More ticket sales... hopefully better films for us!
Dan_Dare Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Meeh. Whatever. So long as I can see it in 2D, I don't overly care.
Paj! Posted January 19, 2011 Author Posted January 19, 2011 Yeah, I'll be seeing the 2-D version. 3-D leaves me with the strange feeling of...distance in my memory. The feeling I have when I try to think about films I watched while drunk, or very tired. As though it only skimmed the surface. Tron wasn't like that though. But yeah, I'll see things in 3-D that I feel deserve to be seen in 3-D. And only then.
Murr Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 New Thor trailer.. Zing - http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/MsKyle08/news/?a=30354 a few screenies below, but alot more found here - http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/MarvelFreshman/news/?a=30360
Iun Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 That scene at the bottom there looks incredibly fake while in motion. This doesn't seem like a good movie, appears a little bit sort of... early nineties origin story.
Happenstance Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 I was thinking about this earlier, do you guys think we'll see Thor fly in this movie at all? (I know its the hammer but its easier to just call it flying)
Retro_Link Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 I expect to see him flying in The Avengers, soaring across the desert with Iron Man as Captain A powers across the ground in pursuit of The Hulk? Guess he might fly at the end of this film or something? Also, did anyone see Samuel L Jackson on Alan Carr, saying he was going to film something for Thor very soon, despite I thought a previous announcement that he wouldn't be in it.
Happenstance Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Yeah he announced a couple of weeks ago that he was actually appearing in it
Paj! Posted March 7, 2011 Author Posted March 7, 2011 Yeeeeeeesssss at the first one. "Cunts will pay by sundown."
Paj! Posted March 7, 2011 Author Posted March 7, 2011 Using that word enough lately? I enjoyed the pre-edit comment better.
Ramar Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 You're certainly getting through enough cunts lately! Like some kid who just found a new swear word.
Paj! Posted March 7, 2011 Author Posted March 7, 2011 I say CUNT in real life all the time. No more than usual recently...or maybe less IRL recently..hmm. Maybe I'm compensating by posting it more on here without realising?
ReZourceman Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Cunt is pretty much my favourite word. I fucking LOVE the weight it holds in certain circles.
Happenstance Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Despite the fact that I always find it ridiculous that people get so offended by swear words considering they are basically giving them all their power, I can't help but hate the word. I also don't really think it should be used on a Nintendo forum anyway.
