nekunando Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 I looked at the name and thought it was pronounced Ko-sheel-knee. Or maybe Ko-seal-knee. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOh, Baby I compare you to a KISS FROM a ROSE on the graaaaay. Apparantly United are now making some moves towards Sneijder. We should've gone for him last year. His value will have doubled by now. And Robben's as well. He was available last year. Hmm. I would have liked to have seen Sneijder join Liverpool as part of the Alonso deal last summer Having said that, I'm really interested to see what sort of season Aquilani will have under Roy Hodgson as I feel there is a lot of promise there : peace:

I reckon he'll go for a defender of some sort, and a wide player. I think the days of playing Kuyt out wide may be coming to an end soon.
Ramar Posted July 8, 2010 Author Posted July 8, 2010 Man United are kidding themselves if they think they'll get Sneijder. Not only does the club have bugger all for money, it's not like Sneijder will leave a treble winning team that actually wanted him when no one other club gave a shite. In other fantastic news I'm loving this talk of Barcelona being skint, maybe now they'll stop trying to nick our players.

Annoying how we didn't go for him last year though. But then, what would we have offered them? Wish the Glazers would fuck off.

Wish the Glazers would fuck off. I wish we went in for him when he was at Ajax but Arsene didn't listen to my Football Manager knowledge.
Fierce_LiNk Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 I wish we went in for him when he was at Ajax but Arsene didn't listen to my Football Manager knowledge. Hahahahaahah. Funny enough, I was thinking the same thing about Lahm a few years back, literally just before the last World Cup. And, before this World Cup, I thought Schweinsteiger would be great at United. I wonder what both are going to be valued at now. Damn these managers and their ways. Rafa is the best. Buy 70 players. Some of those are bound to be good, right? RIGHT?!
Platty Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Screw Robben Flinkington. He was OUR player until at the last minute he jumped ship to Chelski. Would love snijder at United but can't see it happening. I have a feeling the majority of our transfers may be done already, that mexican striker hernandez looked tasty in the world cup but it will prob take a season for him to get into the league. I can see us signing a new centre back maybe. All depends if Vidic goes as the wife wants out again. I got a feeling fergie is going to promote some of the youth this year and give them ago and to be fair thats ok by me. Screw overpriced pre madonnas.
Platty Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Owen Hargreaves injured again.... :| I was just reading that. I think that's him done. Off to see a specialist in America apparently and will defo miss the start of the season. Such a shame.
Charlie Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Owen Hargreaves injured again.... :| There's a surprise. Celtic are apparently close to signing Joe Ledley who I reckon will be a fantastic signing for them although I feel it could pave the way for McGeady to leave the club. Don't you just love it when you get a player on Footie Manager and then a few seasons later he's actually moving to a big name club? I had Ledley on my Burnley game when they just got promoted and he was consistently my best player. When Henri Saivet and Mamadou Sakho finally get their big money moves I'll be complete.
Fierce_LiNk Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 I wouldn't say it's definitely the end for Hargo. He was bound to suffer some kind of setback at some stage anyway. It happens, especially with more serious injuries. Probably why Fergie didn't rush him back at the end of last season. He'll be back. The question is how long he'll last once he's back. Wait and see. Haha, well done, Charlie. Are you a German Octopus in disguise?
gmac Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 I think it's looking more likely that his career is over, sounds a lot like the stories in Scotland last season about John Kennedy and Lee Wilkie, who both had to retire after long standing knee problems. On a lighter note, I am pretty happy that it looks like Joe Ledley is signing for us, could be a really great signing. Just a shame that the Cardiff fans are now reverting to type, sending him death threats.
stuwii Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 Watford drubbed boreham wood 5-0. Our kids are blossoming
Ramar Posted July 11, 2010 Author Posted July 11, 2010 Watford drubbed boreham wood 5-0. Our kids are blossoming I wouldn't get too excited about beating a non-league outfit in a friendly, I think Watford will struggle to stay in the championship this year.
James Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 Watford drubbed boreham wood 5-0. Our kids are blossoming Your signing one of my (carlisle united's) kids, Tom Aldred. Looked good for us towards the end of the season, good luck to him, we offered him a pants deal and so no wonder he left, manager blames his advisors though!!
Ramar Posted July 18, 2010 Author Posted July 18, 2010 Went to Barnet for our friendly yesterday, surprisingly good fun for a friendly. One of the poor stewards was on the receiving end of loads of banter. God knows why he thought it was a good idea to wear a Spurs stewards jacket..
Happenstance Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 Wow, looks like Liverpool actually managed to sign Joe Cole. Pretty happy about this as I think our midfield needed a bit more of an attacking player in it.
Murr Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 Wow, looks like Liverpool actually managed to sign Joe Cole. Pretty happy about this as I think our midfield needed a bit more of an attacking player in it. a very good signing for no transfer fee. get a left back and things start looking good for you then.
MadDog Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 Awesome, awesome signing. I was so happy when it popped up on Sky Sports News. Get Torres and Gerrard to commit, couple of left backs, and I think we will be really strong next season.
Happenstance Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 I do hope we sort out some left backs soon, we dont wanna get stuck with using Agger there again by the start of the season
Charlie Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 What was wrong with Insua for leftback? Or even Dossena?
Happenstance Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 I know weve just sold Insua and I think Dossena has gone as well, i'll have to check though
Murr Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 What was wrong with Insua for leftback? Or even Dossena? Insua was sold recently to Fiorentina, and Dossena was sold LAST Season to Napoli?? Aurellio was released on a free.. so yes... Left Back is something that they need to address quickly! dont want to put Agger in LB as he is a CB, (quality one at that) I'm actually a Manchester United fan, but can appriciate the talent other teams have even if they are fierce rivals
Ramar Posted July 19, 2010 Author Posted July 19, 2010 Going to sound bitter from me but Joe Cole has come across as a spoilt twat. He first was banging on about staying in London, then he started saying he wanted Champions League football, toyed with the idea of going abroad. Then settled for the biggest pay cheque he could get whilst taking a career step backwards. Anyone thinking Liverpool are on the up are deluded. Hodgson has some serious work to steady the sinking ship.
Happenstance Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 I dont think its deluded at all. I doubt anyone thinks that Liverpool are all sorted now but buying Joe Cole is a positive move and could be considered "on the up", as in "better than we were yesterday".
