Ike Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 That's what I've heard, although I haven't actually seen it listed. Are you getting it? It's listed on Amazon Spain, would have thought it would be on Amazon German or France first, but whatever. And yeah, will be picking it up. Don't think I finished the Wii version.
D_prOdigy Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 My 3DS has done the thing again where it won't turn on, so I'm going to send it off to Nintendo. I have a couple of queries, so is there anyone round these parts who has ever sent their 3DS off for repair?
canand Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 Has anyone's 3DS crash becuse when I Open the 3DS I just get a black screen and I got to hold down the power button
canand Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 Is it not just off? No when I open it it has 2 black screens and nothing I press will work think it happend when I got Nintendo Zone app
Jamba Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 Sooooo.... a new CEX opened in Banbury on Friday, which gave me the opportunity to trade a whole bunch of stuff and get a 3DS again :-) Interesting side effect: Previous owner has the Ambassador program and the purchases are still locked onto the device despite it being formatted! Got a massive raft of digital games for FREE. Ah-yeah
Rummy Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 Has anyone's 3DS crash becuse when I Open the 3DS I just get a black screen and I got to hold down the power button Mine's been doing that for quite a while. It isn't all the time, and I have yet to figure out why. Is it not just off? Not everyone's quite as dim as yourself, ReZ :p

-Dem0- Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 Who would sell a 3DS with the Ambassador games? If they had thought carefully, they would be able to charge a higher price as these games (except Mario Bros. & LOZ) aren't available for purchase as of yet. Especially the GBA games, most of them are GOLD! But yeah, good one Jamba.
Dcubed Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 (edited) EU update this week: 3DS VC: Sonic Labyrinth (Game Gear) eShop: VVVVVV DSiWare: Curling Super Championship Wii VC: Wonder Boy in Monster Land (VCA), Monster World IV (MD) That's a fucking awesome update. 3 VC games in one week AND VVVVVV!?! Granted, Sonic Labyrinth is a pile of turd, but that's still one bloody amazing update (I'm getting both Monster World games and VVVVVV ) Bloody Nicalis actually came through. I never thought I'd see the day... Edited May 7, 2012 by Dcubed
welsh_gamer Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 VVVVVV game page added to Nintendo UK It's gonna cost £7.20
dazzybee Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 £7.20?!?! Bloody hell. That's expensive Downlaoded Might Switch Force, great game, but ridiculous amount of content. 16 very short levels. It too me less than 2 hours to finish the game. You can get PAR (within a time limit) for each level which adds a bit extra on top of that, but kind of ridiculous. Good job they're giving us some free levels soon
Jamba Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 haha, nice story! Love it when a plan comes together. Wonder what will happen when(if) nintendo unify the accounts with the Nintendo Network! Yeah I was just thinking the same... Going to take a while to switch over, whatever happens. And @\-Dem0\- : Yeah, I was surprised at how good the GBA'S selection is. Got Metroid Fusion for free and some Mario/Wario games too so I'm a smug git.

Jamba Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Now you have to swear that this time you won't trade the 3DS in again, unless of course Nintendo release a newer model. Of course ;-) I actually have some games to play on it now! Rather than a 6 month window of nothing, not even virtual console games. Would be just my luck though that Nintendo would do a re-design.
Serebii Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Don't worry. A redesign is far off. Nintendo will wait until long after the 3DS becomes profitable

f00had Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Not sure whether this deserves a new topic or not but I'll play it safe and just post it here. Nintendo have announced that they're discontinuing the Aqua Blue 3DS on their Japanese website: http://kotaku.com/5909465/nintendo-is-killing-off-the-aqua-blue-3ds
Jamba Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 Right so I've completely lost track. Which 3DS games support online multiplayer chat?

welsh_gamer Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 Right so I've completely lost track. Which 3DS games support online multiplayer chat? Heroes of Ruin, which is out June 15th, is the only confirmed game to feature voice chat.

madeinbeats Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 (edited) Having only had my 3DS for a day I'm still exploring it but there are a few issues for me. Starting off on a positive note, it is 100% a gamers console of high pedigree. I might be in the wrong for pointing out these shortcomings as I see them, so you will have to tell me. The situation is that it's quite a nice day out, and would be nice to sit out in the garden. Rather than taking the too large laptop or the too small android phone, it would have been nice to take my 3DS out with me and keep an eye on the GP on iPlayer or listen to some jazz on and internet radio app with a blast on MK7 on the side... not happening though is it. The web browser is abdominal, absolutely the worst browsing experience I have had in a long, long time. I've noticed that the Applications section on the N Shop is as dry as a recently divorced 50 year old woman's wine glass. Where are the apps? I don't think it bodes well (well, personally for me as a user.) If things like iPlayer, YouTube and other standard fare apps found on other platforms were going to appear as a matter of need, then Nintendo would have been far more pro-active in getting them on the system. I also don't think it holds well for some peoples' hopes or visions for the future functionality of the WiiU either; I know that my opinion in this area has certainly changed since feeling out the 3DS. I was quite taken aback by the jump in complexity the OS took from the DS - taking into account the 40-50+ Brain Training crowd. I know for anyone under the age of 40 or so these days would say it's a slick and user friendly experience (which it is), but it would obviously boggle most of the older generation. And with the observation of the OS it makes me feel even more frustrated that the apps aren't there to make use of it. What's the point? It leave me asking, who needs the new folder feature unless its a precursor for a massive update or change of attitude towards populating the N Shop with many more apps. I know Nintendo always says they're a games company first, but for me it just feels there needs to be more compromise to strike a decent balance. What'd ya think - am I in the wrong for having such expectations? I'd be interested to hear although I might not agree with you lol :p EDIT: tl;dr (feckin' hell, didn't know it would turn out this lengthy. Sorry about that.) Edited May 13, 2012 by madeinbeats
