Hey!

Watch Eights United go!

Veni Vedi Vici 1-1 Cubic County

Vedi carried on their unbeaten run with a impressive draw against veteran side Cubic County. Things started off slowly until County were struck with a piece of bad fortune, their striker Norcott was taken out in a rough tackle that had him replaced by Ashby. Norcott looks to be out until mid February. It was left to Countys midfield to provide a goal as Woozley teed up Vihko for a cracker of a long shot. County were playing youth goalie Greening who had a good game apart from a bad error where he missed a cross allowing Abrey to head the ball into an empty net to make it 1-1. In the 2nd half Vici pushed for a winning goal but for the moment Gower lacks a partner striker of his talents and it ended 1-1. County played better but Vici were toe to toe with them for large parts of the game. Both teams remain unbeaten and forces to be reckoned with.

Mcoys Sons 3-0 Complete Domstercool

There was a collective sigh of relief from the Sons fans as they won their first competitive fixture after 6 games without a win. The Sons were simply supreme producing one of the best performances in their clubs history. It is only thanks to Domstercools good defense that it wasn't a worse scoreline for them. Playing 3-5-2 the Sons midfield was rampant, Jbil the captain set Heckingbottom up for the first goal a close range shot. After the restart more and more pressure occurred (in the end the Sons had 9 chances) two more goals came within a minute of each other. Rossall curled in a long range shot then moments later Jibil nodded in a Moses cross. Domstrcools awful striker problems got worse as Rodwell sustained a bad injury and had to be replaced with a midfielder. The Sons move into the promotion zone while Domstercool look to have taken a big step backwards.

Discount Viagra 2-3 Eights United

Viagra and Eights United participated in a bad tempered yet thrilling match that confirmed the ascendancy of United. Viagra played 4-3-3 against Uniteds 3-5-2 these two very different formations competed in this vital match. There were 3 yellow cards and an injury before the first goal as the match started to turn into an unfriendly affair. It was Viagra who struck first as Hackworth scored his 3rd goal for the club when he shot past a static 3 man United defense. The half ended with another yellow cards, after the restart United scored two in quick succession. Flatland hit in a quickfire reaction shot in the box, then Horrem crossed a ball in for Bjornas to head in to the bottom right hand corner. The midfield battle was now brutal and 3 more yellow cards flew out of the refs pocket. United were controlling the chances with double the amount than Viagra the 2 men advantage in midfield was telling. However it was Viagra who scored next, Jordan floated a corner in that Arber headed in off the post. It was no that Uniteds 5 man midfield advanced and Viagra had 7 players charging forward attacking them. Eventually the dam broke Horrem found space to deliver another cross that Smerud headed in. Uniteds midfield withdrew and stopped any more Viagra chances. A great game that United deserved to win they are now 2 away games played 2 away games won.

Martinists Men 2-2 Edd Kirby Athletic

The Men frustrated another team with a battling draw, this time Athletic who were looking to bounce back after the humiliation of their last game. The Men shocked Athletic by scoring after 2 minutes, Jardin knocked in a inswining corner for his first ever goal for the club. Kirby Jr who is on form this season set up McKenna for a close range shot that he was never going to miss. The Men however in the 2nd half were controlling play with more and more pressure going forward as Athletic failed to create many chances in response. They did create one though, Hill who was magnificent swung in a freekick for McKenna to volley home. At this point Athletic thought they could close the win out. But their defense fell asleep as Bowman dodged past two defenders and beat the usually supreme Bain 1 on 1. Men don't look like title winners but are gaining draws here and there against tough teams. As for Athletic they will want a real fresh break from these last two games when they face Domstercool.

Analysis

Most Important Result: Discount Viagra 2-3 Eights United, Eights United are on fire at the moment another away win confirms their status as the ascendant team in this league.

Turned on the Style Award: Mcoys Sons, 3 goals and 9 chances, they needed a big win after such a bad competitive streak and they got it in style.

Player of the Day: Ivar Horrem, Eights United, played well above his skill level creating two chances and being part of Uniteds all star midfield.

Jeez Dyson seemed to get a chance every 3 seconds. Scary stuff. If I hadn't had one of my forwards injured in mere seconds I think I could've stood a chance....

Turns out I don't have a match tomorrow, so I can relax a little!
You don't get to call it "tomorrow" at 4.30am :heh:

My defence absolutely suck bollocks. Every game they seem to concede.. even when the opposition only get one fucking chance :shakehead

My attack ain't much better either. I played a 4-2-4 to see if we could actually convert some chances and we still only score 1 from 4. GAAAAAYYYYYYY.

Still at least that's my first point on the board.

Mcoy bogged up on the tactics, had an average game away and won 1 - 0 and still got manager of the round?

Obviously I would have prefered a win but a draw against Villan isnt too bad, especially with his form so far this season

That was closer than expected. A bit annoying that Mcoy converted one of two chances and I had three chances and scored none. Out of the relagation zone but with one match less played it's not such a big deal. Still confident on relegation. My next match should be a breeze.

Mcoy converted more chances however your pressure helped boost your midfield and reduce the effectiveness of Mcoys. If Mcoy had not guessed your playmaker you may have converted a lot more chances and had a goal or two so it was a lucky guess from Mcoy's side.

Mcoy's defense also had a very good game which may have also helped, Mcoy got a freekick into the goal so it wasn't a very big win/loss for either side. Mcoy was seriously worried about this game as he thought your formation would have been a lot different and made alot of counters risky or useless.

I was surprised to see you mark the playmaker I used this time, I expected you to mark the same one as in the friendly so I changed the playmaker. Did guess your formation, I guess that helped reducing the difference.

If anyone doesn't mind, i'm off to cry in the corner. I haven't got a clue what i'm doing wrong. Unless these teams are more developed compared to my team, in which case fair enough.

Come on, don't you think Roostophe is a better name?

For one: I didn't come up with it; it was a nickname from school.

For two: People called 'Villan' are ten a penny, whether they are Aston Villa fans or just can't spell 'villain'. :indeed:

You dudes just need to get used to it. Especially as it's my X11 username, I thought some of you here would be more used to saying it than other members - the ones who don't play X11 and are therefore not as awesome as you. ;)

I thought that earlier game was harsh.. I've just checked my Master League match and i got a goal disallowed for a doubtful offside, 3 players booked and another one sent off (on normal aggression). Ended up losing 2-1.

I didn't even need the ref against me, the opposition had 7 players in the Xpert11 they are that good.

Today's Xpert has just been one big fat fuck in the arse.

My xpert team lost 4-3 in a ridiculous match. My keeper, who normally plays with 9+ skill, played a 6 and let in a long shot and two direct free-kicks. Nonsense. Annoying, and genuinely slightly angering.

Standing in line to see the Xpert Results today, I left without putting a win bonus on, maybe I can win who knows?

Haden United 3-1 AFC Rez Rabies

Haden United gained their first win in an impressive win against an in form Rabies. United stuck to a 4-4-2 formation against Rabies playing 3-4-3 obviously hoping Uniteds bad form of recent games would continue. Headon shot in his 49th goal for the club after 21 minutes sending the Rabies goalie the wrong way. Uniteds midfield was very impressive making 6 chances against 1 for Rabies. In the second half the pattern carried on and Weesle headed in a great Dinsdale cross. Youth and surely future star Vunderpond headed in his first ever goal for Rabies to give them some hope. However United were rampant, again they made 6 chances to Rabies 1. Mozzini finished the game off with a sweetly struck close range goal. Just before the end of the game Wiberg limped off after an awkward fall but should be back soon. This was a vital win for United after a poor start to the season they will try and build on this. For Rabies it was a disappointment but hardly a disaster.

Noodle Esporte Clube 1-0 Battlestar Odwinica

Odwinica tragically lost out on their 2nd away point of the season as Noodle won this game in injury time. The 1st half was very nervy as both teams failed to make any chances as they seemed to know how crucial this game was. The game opened up in the 2nd half but the only thing that was being accumulated was yellow cards not goals. It seemed the game was going to be a 0-0 draw as Odwinicas defense was on superb form. Robinho however dinked past an Odwinica defender and sped down the wing before floating the ball into the box. Rembrant rose above all the Odwinica defenders in the box and headed the ball home with conviction. The crowd went wild Noodle had stolen the game at the death. Noodle are on a huge roll and are 1 point off the top of the league having won their last 3 matches. Odwinica sadly look like they are certain relegation material but are also a tricky side to beat their game against Rabies will be very interesting.

The Sixty Fourthers 4-3 Essex Elites

The 64s notched up a crucial win after two crushing defeats while the Elites have now suffered 3 straight losses. The 64s playe 4-5-1 while the Elites went for 3-4-3, this formation seemed to be a horrific choice for the Elites as the 64s were 2 goals up in 8 minutes. Baralla headed in a sweetly worked opening cross to make it 1-0 and then moments later Hagolahi scored his first ever goal with a curling free kick. Rikabi who had assisted the Baralla goal, assisted again when he laid the ball off to Goblecoqe who made no mistake in scoring at close range in the box..This felt like the old 64s who were seen as one of the strongest teams in the league. However the Elites came back to life in the 2nd half, Gledhill fed a ball to Corben who vollied in his cross, Corben struck again when Ling fed a through ball to him to make it 3-2. The Elites seemed more threatening with their 3 strikers seeming to link up properly at last. However in a moment of genius against the run of play Gobady hit a ferocious shot in from outside the box that banged in off the post. The match was still not over though, Ling crossed in a high ball that Gledhill nodded home. Despite further efforts the 64s held out for a dramatic first win of the season. For the 64s like Haden United this victory was vital, for the Elites noone would have expected them to win this on paper but having nearly drawn the game in their current situation it might feel like a bigger loss than it is.

Happenstance FC 1-1 Roostophe Rovers

Happenstance took the first points off Rovers in a tight match. Happenstance played 4-4-2 against a 3-5-2 formation that Rovers put forward. Happenstance shocked the jubilant Rovers supporters when Harford punted in one of his famous free kick goals. Rovers seemed very dangerous and stronger than Happenstance in attack. Monington was menacing throughout although Happenstance contained him quite well. However he did feed through a ball to Tartara who chipped the ball past the goalie for his 3rd goal in 3 games. Neither side was up to their best and seemed to cancel each other out as the game faded to a draw. The point is a good one for Happenstance who have had a mixed opening set of games that sees them happily in 3rd. Rovers won't lose to much sleep over this result they still sit atop of the league with only Noodle challenging their lead.

Analysis

Most Important Result: The Sixty Fourthers 4-3 Essex Elites, the 64s had to win this one and just about did it!

Turned on the Style Award: Haden United, 12 chances to 2 and 3 goals, Haden United needed to be back on top form and won in style.

Player of the Day: Latif Al-Rikabi, The Sixty Fourhters, created two chances and was part of an awesome 64s midfield that got their manager their first win after a horrid opening 2 games.
