Noku Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 http://gonintendo.com/?p=80987 - Game that fits into the FPS-category - Game that is very rare, even on 360, featuring an average of 65 enemies on screen at once (and the number goes up) E3. I think I'm beginning to heart Nofsinger.
Noku Posted April 30, 2009 Author Posted April 30, 2009 As long as you didn't read it as Betamax, you're in the clear I'd think
Fierce_LiNk Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 That second game will probably have fans ejaculating in excitement and joy. What type of game would it be, though? It's good that they're working on more games, and I can't wait to see exactly what they have planned in motion.
Ganepark32 Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 The second title says RPG to me yet they're becoming more and more common on the 360. So I'm not sure if it's that. Could perhaps be some kind of strategy title. Not many of those on the Wii or the 360 really.
... Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 I don't listen to hype anymore. Just show it and be done with it. Hype is all bullshit. "A very rare game, even on 360"... My comment to that is: lol
Emasher Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 I read it as "VHS" too. The first one is probably Conduit 2 seeing as the developers were already saying they want to make another one soon. The second one could be lots of things. I'm thinking some sort of Action RPG or RTS/TBS

Jonnas Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 I actually read that as HIV... It's a sign I should be sleeping right now.
DuD Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 I actually read that as HIV Well jonnas wins .... i thought it said hmv. I'd say emasher's gonna be right about the first one, but I don't really have a clue with the second one. rpg sounds like a fairly safe bet.
... Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Oh right, you have a 360 now. I do, but that's not what I meant. The phrase itself is pathetic hype. Even if I didn't own a 360 I'd find it stupid. If you have something in the works, let it do the talking once you show it. Make a decent trailer or teaser. That builds up hype more effectively. Remember the Sadness fiasco? Well, that shit never appeared and yet it never truly died. But it's just pathetic hype.
Hero-of-Time Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 When I read this on GoNintendo the first thought I had for the 2nd game is RTS. There aren't many on the 360 and the wiimote is perfect for such a game. Saying that I hope it isn't as im not a fan of the genre unless its tied to some license that I have an interest in, such as the LOTR or Halo ones on the 360.
david.dakota Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 The obvious thing is The Conduit 2- but i'd rather them let the original have its time in the lime light. E3 is too early- unless its a disk based map pack for online multiplayer, but unlikely. The second does indeed scream RTS. Its a genre thats undervalued on consoles and for my money the Wii pointer could work really well in this genre too. It could also be a couple of WiiWare titles.
D_prOdigy Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 After watching that video, I didn't get the impression that "rare even on 360 and PS3" was referring to genre at all, more so the tech involved. And he also just said "demo" when discussing the 65 on screen part, so that could just be a tech demo. One month before we find out anyway.
Noku Posted May 1, 2009 Author Posted May 1, 2009 It could also be a couple of WiiWare titles. Don't think so, read somewhere they're not doing any WiiWare titles in the near future (would look it up but I've got a loo that needs visiting).
david.dakota Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 (would look it up but I've got a loo that needs visiting). Enjoy it, dude.
Noku Posted May 2, 2009 Author Posted May 2, 2009 Teasing The Conduit 2 before the first one's even been released would be bad marketing. Why buy the original if you could just as well wait for the enhanced sequel?

Noku Posted May 3, 2009 Author Posted May 3, 2009 There's a difference between simply mentioning the name and actually showing footage of it, if you ask me
STOOPIDDITTIES Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 (edited) I'd be very surprised if it were anything other than a teaser for a sequel and a trailer for what looks like a typical but yet amazingly good RTS. The RTS will probably be the equivalent of what The Conduit is on the Wii is what i mean. Makes perfect use of the console and does it very well, but will likely be generic do some degree. All is forgiven if the game is good though It's been a while since i've been genuinly excited about E3 come to think of it. And yet this announcement alone is making me quite tingly. This plus Nintendo's main announcent and any other surprises from third parties makes me think we might get quite a good E3 this year. Fingers crossed Edited May 3, 2009 by STOOPIDDITTIES Automerged Doublepost
david.dakota Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 although, on second thoughts, i suppose Conduit 2 could be feasible, depending on HVS and Sega's feelings on the Wii's lifecycle- if they want the trilogy solely on Wii (there's no guarantee what Wii2 will bring to the table), they may have greenlit 2 and 3 for release in 2010 and 2011.

I thought they had only planned a sequel... Has it actually been confirmed as a trilogy then?
