Posted March 28, 2009 (edited) So it's that time of the year again where we turn off our lights for one hour. Earth Hour is a way to show you care about the environment and this planet, and this year they're hoping to get at least 1 billion people to participate (how they monitor this I don't know, doubt they can =P ). But yes, basically at 8:30 tonight, until 9:30, you are asked to turn off your lights, and maybe even more than just the lights. I know it probably sounds really silly to most people and don't know if many are going to participate. If you are though, let us know here. What do you have planned for tonight? Lighting up some candles while playing a board game? Candlelit dinner? Is your town/city participating? The best bit about energy saving bulbs really is just the fact they last so long I've never heard of Earth Hour before. Never believe the equivalent ratings, so they say oh shit yeah, 15w is like a 60w incandescent, ignore that shit, and go for the next up, so the "100w" one, which is usually 20w.
