Aimless Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 There's nothing quite like sitting on the bus with this in your ears ^^ I don't know, you could sit next to a cat being scraped backwards over a cat scraping machine. I've quite a bit of discordant music in my collection, but shouty songs do nothing for me. I see it a bit like swearing: if you're having to do it all the time then you're making up for a lack of ability. That said, if other people enjoy such music then I'm not going to stop them. We all have different tastes.
Eenuh Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 Only to drown out the sound. Sorry, Don-tay! You know I love you. I love you too Flinky. Hey hey! What is going on here?! *angrily taps foot* Anyway, shouty music for me is a big no-no. Just don't enjoy it at all and it ends up giving me a headache. Really just not my type of music, and it annoys me when the guys in class put it on and turn it up really loud, blah. -___-;
Jav_NE Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 I fully support people listening to rock music loudly on the bus. There's too many Scallies out there blasting out their hip-hop crap, they need to be taken down a peg or two. Rock will always win out against hip-hop in a loud music battle.

S'true, I despise the ones who blast it out of the crappy quality speakers on their phones >> fortunately it doesn't bother me as much as it used to, noise isolating headphones ftw.
EEVILMURRAY Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 Hey hey! What is going on here?! *angrily taps foot* All you've been doing is making cakes. Jim needs someone to help expel his load sometime! Jump, Bounce, Down, Up I went out on a date With a girl, a bit late She had so many friends Gliding through many hands I brought my pogo stick She had so many friends Just to show her a trick She had so many friends gliding through many hands [Chorus] Jump (pogo x7) , Bounce (pogo x7), Down (pogo x3), Up (pogo x3) jump (pogo) bounce (pogo) up (pogo) down (pogo) Unannounced was there games All players with no names They lined up double quick But just one pogo stick Everyone gets to play Runaway, expose' It was so exotic But just one pogo stick. [Chorus] Oh, I like to spread you out Touching whoever's behind [Chorus] Find the meaning now? Edit: Its about a sex orgy. For some reason, reading this reminded me of the Cartman remix The Body of Christ. The body of Christ, sleek swimmer's body, all muscled up and toned! The body of Christ, Oh, Lord Almighty, I wish I could call it my own!
jayseven Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 It's exactly like Jazz. No word of a lie - was watching a nina simone vid last night and where she goes apeshit at the end... I actually said "this is kinda like what I was saying in the screaming thread" -- the subtleties and build-ups. Win!

Paj! Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 Thanks lol, it actually makes sense now. How could you not get that in the first place?
Kirkatronics Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 How could you not get that in the first place? I dunnno, ive heard it quite a few times so i should have put 2+2 together.
chairdriver Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 One of the few songs I can think of where shouting actually works is Lumpy Dough by Fight Like Apes.
Paj! Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 One of the few songs I can think of where shouting actually works is Lumpy Dough by Fight Like Apes. Rapport! Listening to the album now, thought about coming in here to comment in some way.
Oxigen_Waste Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 In the end, this thread is very loose... as "shouting" in music has many formats, and we can't really draw many paralels between Deicide and Yeah Yeah Yeahs, now can we?
