tapedeck Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Gutted. Truly a giant of kids TV. With a giant heart to match. You can write a message on his websites wall if you want to: HERE
Dog-amoto Posted January 19, 2009 Author Posted January 19, 2009 I have a better one. When Morph heard the news, he was said to be speechless. Still pretty poor though.

flameboy Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Plain awful...Not so much a surprise though really he was 83 and suffered from a stroke stripping him of his greatest love his art, as he couldn't do it. I think the development of art of TV owes so much to him and in particular inspiring kids to draw and no doubt leading to shows such as Art Attack and Smart hitting the critical mass. Also his creation of Morph can't be denied as a crucial part of the stop motion clay animation world. Will remember fondly sending in pictures every week to Hartbeat and being gutted that I never got shown on TV but I did once get placed in a drawing competition on Blue Peter and won a badge, which incidentally he designed the logo for, so in some way he did impact my art.
Dan_Dare Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 I heard today that he couldn't draw since his stroke a few years ago that made me really, terribly sad...
