I find it funny in 1997 they failed to qualify for the race in Aus and then dropped out by the next round in Brazil, I hope they have more success than then.

Prodrive are thinking about getting in on the action in conjunction with Aston Martin. Sounds like a partnership that could actually go places.

Ooh, also, Codemasters have released the first game details - F1 09 for WII & PSP, F1 '10 for XBox, PC & PS3 next year.

Finally!

I was wondering when the hell we would hear something on the game ! :)

I think that format strategy may be the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen.

I'm gonna be tempted to get a PS3/360 just for this game!

Hopefully the 2010 release on HD console is the 2010 season and they aren't just delaying the 2009 season version until it's ready?!

Either that or set a base for the game, but then each year you can download that years cars and any new tracks through downloadable content.

My reading of it I think the HD version will be a 2010 season. Really stupid idea not to get an HD 2009 version while the season is still running though.

I would have though it will be a new game every year rather than D/L content, depends on sales/game structure but I'd have thought they will go for full games to maximise profits - they'll need a lot to pay for the license.

True!

Ah OK, Wii version it is then, as it's the only '09 option!

Then by 2010 I'll prob have an HD console and it'll be on to the what's bound to be stunning [judging by all codemaster racing outputs] PS3/360 versions!

I'll happily wait a year for Codemasters to give us a fully polished piece of software, rather then rush the job. Grid was stupendous, they've got a reputation to live up to. Might get the Wii version in the meantime if the reviews are good though.

Can't believe we're on Round 4 already! And it's Barca in only 2 weeks time!

Hmm, Trulli may be a good shot for pole tomorrow I reckon, as we know he's a bit of a qually specialist and Toyota tested out in Bahrain over the winter with Ferrari and BMW.

EDIT:

Anyone watch Practice? The new racing line comparison thing is pretty cool! Guess they'll do it throughout the race weekend.

Yeah the Practice sessions they show on the red button.

No doubt they'll do it tomorrow in Qualifying, but OMG was Anthony Davidson loving it today!! He was great actually, really insightful in letting you know exactly what each driver line/corner entry/exit meant.

He should replace Legard imo :)

Oh good for Trulli being first I like Toyota!

Can anyone clear this up for me on the BBC schedule it says.

Race: 1500 (1300 BST)

BBC coverage (UK): 1210-1500

Im confused have they made a mistake or something or is 13.00 when the race starts? For British viewers I mean.

Sorry obviously it is 1pm I got confused by BST instead of GMT lol

One epic Trulli train for the race tomorrow?

Its gonna be the best one ever a Trulli Glock Toyota train at that!

lol at the trulli train comments.

Na that won't happen, mainly because he's light on fuel and in a very quick car. Wouldn't be surprised if him, Glock and Vettel are all 4-6 laps shorter on fuel than Jenson and Rubens are, meaning they'd need atleast 5-6 seconds over them before coming in the pits (even more considering they might get held in traffic). Gonna be one hell of a race, can't wait :D

Bollocks!! Why do I never follow my predictions through with an actual bet!

It would also seem we were a little mislead by Brawn in Australia [which is a very unique track], and then in Malaysia due to the changing weather.

They are still very quick, but it would seem they certainly aren't dominant!

Jenson seemed very down beat, I think he had hopes of perhaps walking the title!

Also, poor Webber!

EDIT: Qually Weights

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/74832

1. Trulli 648.5

2. Glock 643.0

3. Vettel 659.0

4. Button 652.5

5. Hamilton 652.5

6. Barrichello 649.0

7. Alonso 650.5

8. Massa 664.5

9. Rosberg 670.5

10. Raikkonen 671.5

11. Kovalainen 678.5

12. Nakajima 680.9

13. Kubica 698.6

14. Heidfeld 696.3

15. Piquet 677.6

16. Sutil 679.0

17. Buemi 678.5

18. Fisichella 652.0

19. Webber 656.0

20. Bourdais 667.5

- Bit of a poor qually from Rubens,

- Toyota's are lightest,

- Good qually from Vettel,

- Ferrari's are going long.

Why is the Brawn so slow? Everyone was saying Bahrain is where we'd see their true pace but it hasn't happened.

Yeah it's strange, the track just doesn't suit them at all does it? It's a very stop and go track and unlike Melbourne and Malaysia it doesn't 'flow' very well, and it looks like that's what is hurting them. I think the Brawn is the fastest through the high speed corners and there aren't many on this track.

Vettel for the win!

That would make a lot of sense. With the race just an hour away, It's either going to be Vettel or a Toyota on that top step.

I think it's between Trulli and Vettel. Glock is lighter and could really have done with being on Pole. Also, remember that hamilton has KERS so could easily get past Jenson at the start....Gonna be very interesting.

Come on Ferrari bring us home some points!

lol, who saw Jenson Button winning that, seems the Brawn did actually have some race pace. I know Trulli and Vettel held each other up as Hamilton did with Vettel the first stint but that's racing.

Glad to see Raikkonen got some points. Feel sad for Toyota but he did a great job.

Brawn got Button's strategy just so right, it's actually quite scary, while Vettel just quite happily out raced the rest. Astonishing start by Lewis too, he must haven be wringing that McLaren dry every single lap. Ferrari will be delighted just to get off the starting line now. Can't wait to see how the field pans out after the big upgrade-fest in Barcelona.
