Whats BWii like? For £9.99, it looks a bargain.

Is it Advance Wars but in 3D?

For a tenner, yes buy it. Its great. The only real control problem is jump- mapped to a nunchuk shake. Otherwise, there is very little control issue IMO.

Its also easier than the original- but not ridiculously so. I was pleased paying full price- i'd be eatstatic buying for a tenner.

I keep seeing it places, and it's seriously cheap, but I just haven't gone ahead and done it yet.

I dunno why I'm holding back...I may buy this as a little gift to myself for my birthday in January.

I'm seeing Dewy's Adventure really cheap in the xmas sales so I shall be picking that up as well on boxing day. Think the lowest I've seen is like £8 or £9 and it's totally worth that.

I saw it for a tenner in Cex, but I dunno if it was brand new or second hand. I've also seen Kororinpa for dead cheap as well, but decided against it as I heard that it had a short lifespan?

Man, so many cheap Wii games. Not enough time or money. :(

I cant recommend that game enough, if RedShell was online im sure he would back me up. Its getting quite hard to find now aswell and the copies on ebay sometimes go for a pretty penny. Go buy it Flinky boy!

The thing is, I've already got Super Monkey Ball for the Wii, so I'm not sure if I'll actually need another game similar to it.

However, I have heard that Koror is so much better, especially control wise. Hmm, I may give in and just do it.

The controls are fantastic and the game just has a certain charm to it. I cant wait for the sequel early next year.

I might leave it til New Year, when the Student Loan comes through. I think I can squeeze a tenner out.

So, there seems to be quite a few sequels planned for "cult games." Sequel for this, and No More Heroes 2, and also for Zack and Wiki, isn't there? Or, did I make that up?

Zack and Wiki 2 was rumoured ages ago but nothing else has been heard about it. Capcom did say just this week that they still have a few surprises for the Wii next year so here's hoping they have been hard at work on the Z&W sequel.

That's another that seems tempting, like Dewy's Adventure.

It's quite nice that they are getting talked about, though. As they're not really huuuge games, but it's good for the gamer to have choice.

I've also seen Pro Evolution going cheap as well. Saw a pre-owned copy for 12 quid...but I'm still playing Fifa08, which I love. (not 09, Stuwii - so don't ask.)

I may get the next one, or the one after, I dunno.

Dewy's Adventure is supposed to be getting a sequel as we speak. I'm sure I remember the guys who did the first one coming out a few months ago saying something about either a sequel or a similar new game.

Ahh, so that's another one.

Good for the gamer. More games, more choice. :)

I'm actually tempted to pick up Umbrella Chronicles, as well. I played it with my cousin when he had it, and had fun. I dunno how fun it would by on your own, though.

I have the 1st game sitting on my shelf, never even played it yet. I can't remember hearing about a sequel though.

Speaking of hidden gems everyone should really check out Eledees if they can find it cheap. Its a fantastic little game made by Konami that got overlooked by so many. The sequel for that is due out next year on the DS.

Was in GAME today looking to pick up a few things, but didn't because the queue was horrendous. Anyways, either my GAME has got it wrong or GAME are lying because when I found Disaster in my local, it was full price and not in the sale for £20. Would really like to get it but I want to get it on the sale price.

Not much in the way of stuff in the sale in my local either. Wanted Chocobo dungeon and dragon quest swords as they are, according to the website, £14.98 and £12.98 respectively. Not in there they weren't. Chocobo Dungeon was £29.99 on the BOGOF deal and there was no sign of DQS. So it's going well. :indeed: There's another GAME near me so I may try there tomorrow but I doubt I'll have any luck.

I just saw this ubisoft/future-shop commercial that nearly made me smash the TV.

It was about this middle aged father who went into the store and asked a sales associate for some gibberish that sort of sounded like "Nintendo DS". The sales associate corrects him and then mentions that the store also carries a bunch of "great casual games for the entire family to enjoy" And then the guy says something like "so more then just games for the Hardcore gamers like us". And then they showed the box art for some game and they all at least started with "Imagine" or ended with "Z"

I honestly can't believe anyone would air a commercial like that. Not only was it really poorly done, but it was just plain insulting.

What is this world coming to.

(If the add gets youtubed I'll post it, but I couldn't find it)

Good day of expendature. Bought myself Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Dungeon, Monster Lab and Dewy's Adventure all for just shy of £40. Haven't tried any of them out as I'm just back from the shops but will try them out later. Was weird as Chocobo Dungeon was priced at £29.99 but when put through the register it came up with £14.98, the sale price, which got me thinking that if I go back and buy Disaster which is priced at £34.99 it should come up as £19.98. Hopefully.

And it seems that the online in Monster Lab is for two people to pit their creations together in turn based combat.

edit: ok had a run on both Chocobo and Monster Lab. Monster Lab, in my eye, isn't that great. Not really enjoying it. Will play it a little more to see if it changes but it's a bit meh to me. Chocobo is good though. I love RPGs so I'm looking forward to delving deeper into this. And Chocobo is so obscenely cute it's scary. On the outside he/she looks so cute but I bet on the inside there's a cold hard killer. :heh:

Not sure where I couldput this, doubt this is the right place =p But anyone know what Wii trade in prices are at the minute? I ain't played mine in over ayear and I never am, not been able to paly it propely since release, with my hand anyway, aches after about 10 minutes playing it, and having wonkey aiming in any game just makes it unplayable, so I don't see why i'm still holding onto it, had damned high hopes for it as well. Looking at Mainly Game and Playtime, not sure about the bay though, might consider it.

Think you'll get roughly £85 cash trade in on the console in Game and that's with everything that comes in the box. You'd be better selling it on eBay as you'll get much more for it there than in store.

Tidbits from a Gemaga interview with a few big developers:

Inafune (Capcom) :

-Regarding Resident Evil 5, he says that their experience with Mega Man 9 in parallel turned out to be useful when it came to tackle the online aspect and more particularly to come to grips with the online services/infrastructures.

- He would never, ever make a casual game such as Brain Training.

- He was right about which hardware would win the systems war, but he never thought the DS would be selling that much. " Sorry (for doubting you), Mr. Nintendo"

Kawazu (Square-Enix) :

- There might be a SaGa related surprise for the 20th anniversary of the series next year.

- They made the Last Remnant characters with the Western audience in mind

- They want to make more turn-based RPGs in the future.

- Given the superior technological strength of the West, they wanted to show, with Last Remnant, that they could "do it" too.

- " It's a time when you game-lovers must feel concerned"

Yoshizumi (Namco):

- The Tales of Wii battle system has innovations that will, apparently, greatly impress people. "Please look forward to it"

- Tales of isn't selling well in the West in comparison to Japan. He wishes American and European would play it more.

- For their next project on an HD system, he want to make it very detailed, with a painting-like style to it.

Nagoshi :

- Before, you wouldn't make software for hardware which wouldn't sell. Things are now different. It's now a matter of fighting so the resources dedicated to the HD consoles wouldn't decrease.

- Making titles that proactively justify the existence of the high-end consoles is a personal mission

- The 'multiplatformization' of the game software has little meaning. Digging further into each platform's characteristics and nature is what is interesting.

- He wants to make a new game using his experience with Yakuza/Ryu Ga Gotoku. He is also considering worldwide development, though he is worried about the stance that consists of appealing to the Western audience before the Japanese audience.

Marvelous Entertainment:

- Starting with Little King's Story, they plan to fully support the Wii with a line-up of top-class games. That's their ambition.

D3 :

- They are going to enrich the "Simple" series...

Terada :

- Whichever hardware you choose to put out your game on, you have to save the results of this choice.

-"You really have to support multiplatform gaming and portable gaming, isn't it ?"

Yamauchi (Polyphony Digital) :

- With the exception of 17 overseas business trips, and 3 months during which the workplace was empty, the studio was pretty much confined

- They would have wanted to get GT5 out in 2009

- As they are exclusively in charge of car games, they want to make a distinctive new title. [not sure if this means a new Racing game IP, or a new IP entirely]

Terada (Super Robot War's producer):

- They might "reposition their development" on the second half of 2009...

Hino (Level 5):

-DQIX is truly entering final preparation stage. About the multiplayer aspect, he mentions that they are making it such as its mechanisms give a unique flavor compared to every Online RPG before.

-'Ni no Kuni' is still on track for 2009.

Sugiyama (Koei) :

- He believes they put out too many big titles for the PS3 and X360 in 2008, and the market got a bit crowded. For next year, they will limit themselves to 3-4 titles.

- More DS titles such as Saihai no Yukue, as these seem fairly popular with DS users.

- Sengoku Musou 3 is on Wii because he thought the Wii audience would like it

- The PSP Musou Orochi was developed by an oversea studio.

- They will continue to cater to the audience that is interested in titles such as Oryori Navi : Marugoto Teikoku Hotel DS, as this audience matches the console.

- The first half of 2008 has been record high for the management.

- Hopes the Wii user will like Sengoku Musou 3

- Was really impressed by Smash Bros Brawl
