I figured I'd make a thread for this seeing as I'm an avid watcher of the show. I don't know why, I just love it. There's always someone I end up loving, and this year that has to be Diana Vickers. She's just so captivating to watch, and a only 17 she's amazing. She sounds so utterly different to what you'd expect to hear on the show.

I caught the non-audition stage of the show yesterday while channel surfing and stuck with it for a bit.

I want that annoyingly nice Irish kid with that quite phenomenal hair to win.

He wont because he's only 16 but it'd be cool if he did.

That kid reminds me of everything I hate in these shows. Like that kid that just released an album off Britains Got Talent.

I like Diana...because her voice IS different, and more in tunw with what I might actually buy.

I only saw like 3 performances last night, went out.

I like Ruth too.

Totally agree. I do hope she wins, because even though she obviously doesn't have the vocal power of some of the others, she can emote what she's singing. Her voice is just utterly captivating, even when she happens to go out of tune it still sounds great.

It's trash, but it's good trash! :D

Well, bi, whatever it is.

Can't be much of a secret, what with the X-Factor, Britnet Spears, High School musical...:shakehead

I have never watched a full episode of the X Factor since it began. May watch a bit of the James Bond special they will be screening in a few weeks. Apparently Amy Winehouse's Quantum of Solace theme is being performed.

Is anyone watching the spin off comedy X-factor type show on Channel 4 now?

I'll be watching it when it airs on S4C friday. Apparently Paul McCartney is rumoured to be appearing.

S4C? Friday? Colour me bemused at the fact it's not airing tonight across the whole of the UK.

Watched this for a bit yesterday. It made me shout odd things at the TV....

It was okay but I'm not seeing what the judges are seeing in some of these voices though and Dermot was just hoping for some action from any contestant Male or Female.

Also That Eoghorn Qwigg guy is not called Owen I refuse to believe that!!! :heh:

Omg, you noticed that too? Last year I swear he had a thing for the guy in that brother and sister band, whatever it was called. It was hilarious to watch.

Hehe yeah! It seemed really obvious he was leaning right in everyone's faces like HEY I'M DERMOT! and literally wanted to be in all the pants, including Simon's. :D

Also Cheryl Cole was gettng well excited. In fact all the judges seemed to be waaaay to highly aroused....

The program on Channel 4 is absolutely hilarious. Rick Astley, Ricky Wilson from the Kaiser Chiefs and Paul McCartney have all been on so far, I love it.

Haha yeah! I swear Cheryl was going to dive on that guy that was their during the auditions. She looked like she was ready to pounce and have her way with him. So did Holly (presenter of the Xtra Factor).

It has been pretty good. Some decent bits, a couple of which have been rather clever.

YES YES YES! I agree with you completely she was ready to POUNCE!

I've decided the show isn't about singing but about trying to get dates for the judges and presenters! :p

Anyone watching Peter Kay's spoof of talent shows tonight?

Britains Got The Pop Factor And Possibly A New Celebrity Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly On Ice.

lol, the first bit was hilarious. It basically shows all the bullshit tricks these shows use.

The judges decide not to put someone through because their backstory isn't sad enough etc. All the stuff I laugh at on the actual shows.

I love the medleys the final 3 contestants do.

Geraldine (the Michelle McManus spoof played by Peter Kay himself) started on a motorbike, singing Born To Run, with turned into Free Nelson Mandela, which hilariously morphed into Umbrella by Rihanna. :D

She then finished with C'est La Vie by B*Witched! Look it up on Youtube tomorrow or something...hilarious.

I found the back story bit fantastic, then Waterman went in and grabbed the lad from R Gran's funeral. :heh: R Wayne's medley was brilliant, especially when he ended it on Grandma We Love You.

"Before this competition I believed that no one would piss on me if I was on fire. And now I believe they would."

Agreed on diana, shes got such a lovely and interesting voice, also seems down to earth. I like Ruth as well, i feel sorry for her having simon letch on her though, when he does his trademark wink i want to throw up. The older guy has a sad story but i was cringing when he sang, just didnt work. Generally dont like pop music but x factor is brilliant, just so entertaining!
