Goron_3 Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 I've been playing the third and fourth Ace Attorney games (on the third case of AJ now), and I'm still playing a lot on Brawl, trying to do Classic and All Star with all the characters (about five left of each now). Good on you! The Ace Attourney games are brilliant. I wonder why they haven't announced AJ2 yet... I've mainly been playing Forza, Halo 3 and bioshock to get me past the drought. I'm getting back into melee too

I'm really looking forward to that, particularly as it's got Edgeworth and Gumshoe in, who are much more interesting than the characters introduced in AJ, in my opinion.

Anyway, make sure your friends in Japan don't give up! Well, I'm trying not to be too annoying, they aren't there to buy me stuff and they already got me Band Bros DX, although they did go without me (hurray for my health), so I suppose I can be a little selfish :P

The edgeworth game is being made by someone else actually. It should be alright, but no court scenes....
Gizmo Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 I don't get all the hype about PW. I mean, it's decent enough, but the text is sooo sloooow. And you end up working it way too early, presenting what to you is perfectly logical evidence and getting told off for it. Or you end up having to present illogical evidence to get a reaction from someone. And half of the characters are really annoying (although some are pretty awesome). I think it took me about 3 months to get through the first because I just couldn't play through much at a time, and I'm only about half way through the second. I'm trying desperately to play through them since people hype them so much but I struggle too really.

I never found the text speed to be that much of a problem really, and the scripts are always so fantastic anyway (case 4, PW1.. ). PW2 is a bit meh tbh, but then the 3rd game is just the best thing ever.

Like everyone else I've tons of games to be getting through, so it doesn't matter whether there is a lean patch in the release schedule or not. However, its interesting to note that its not as if everyone is listing newly released titles as what they are currently playing. So you could pretty much say, we are beating the drought (if there is one) by making the most of the time and digging into our individual backlogs!
nekunando Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 I haven't really been in a drought as I have a flood of games to get through that I haven't had a chance to play in the last few years Someone on Dragon's Den has been creating a way of playing music with the Wii Remotes during the drought (OK.. I'm sure it was filmed months ago..) ..but yeh.. he didn't get the investment and it looked a bit weird, but if you get over to BBC iPlayer I'm sure you'll see it! It's probably about 15 minutes in or so (after the first main pitch)

Emasher Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 I finally got back to Metroid Prime 3 and finished it over the last few days. I was stuck at the beginning of the Pirate Home World. Before that I started playing the GBA port of Super Mario Bros. again. It was the first copy of the game I owned, but I never really got into it for some reason and only made it to the 3rd world. I've still got to finnish that one. I think next I'll finnish the original Metroid Prime. Pretty sad I guess.

kenners Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 I have become obsessed with getting achievement points for the 360. So I’ve been going back through games like GTA4, Halo 3, Assassins Creed and Burnout Paradise to ‘fully complete’ them. Also a bit of Mario Kart online is a way to relax.
