BlueStar Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Get in, 3-Nowt thank you very much. Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way, oh what fun it is to see Newcastle win away Puts us above Spurs and Man City
MadDog Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 So happy West Ham got a point from Chelsea Keeps us top
Ramar Posted December 14, 2008 Author Posted December 14, 2008 A really odd weekend. I was fuming after the draw, and after the rest of the results, I'm not as angry, but disappointed. It could have been an opportunity to press on and claw some points back, but we're still the same, albeit one place lower (btw well played Villa, I get more bitter by the week that we didn't sign Young). Just hope we can beat the Scouse next Sunday, or it could be a bad footballing Christmas. Unlike last year which saw us beat the scum and chavs before Christmas.
Emerald Emblem Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 This is exactly why I asked why Villa can't be title contenders, if Arsenal have a chance and Villa perform like this then it surely could be 5 teams this year who have a shot at it.
Fierce_LiNk Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 I was fuming after the Spurs game yesterday. This is exactly what happened in the game against Villa. We HAVE to be winning more games, especially when other teams are dropping points. We've lost out on four points now, and that could have bought us so much closer to the top of the league.
Dyson Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Was one hell of a save from the Spurs keeper in the final minute though. --- Annoyed we didn't chase the points today, but on the up side at least the rest of the important teams failed to achieve 3 points either.

Yeah was a bit gutted with the draw but well deserved. Lucky that everyone else drew aswell. But if we had won we would be in a great posistion after we come back from Japan with the two games in hand and all the "big" teams to play at home.
Emerald Emblem Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Chelsea were lucky not to lose, I saw the injury time one on one which Chec got a hand too.
Goron_3 Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 What a bizzarre weekend of premiership football! The top 3 all dropping points AGAIN? Crazy ey? Also, what on EARTH is happening at Man City?!?!
Fierce_LiNk Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Was one hell of a save from the Spurs keeper in the final minute though. It's typical. He's done fack all this season, and then comes up with that. Suddenly players actually play like players when they're against Manchester United. He'll be back to his usual wank self next weekend, just you watch.
Dyson Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Chelsea were lucky not to lose, I saw the injury time one on one which Chec got a hand too. Were also unfortunate not to win with the obvious penalty decision not given at the end of the match. It's typical. He's done fack all this season, and then comes up with that. Suddenly players actually play like players when they're against Manchester United. He'll be back to his usual wank self next weekend, just you watch. Yep, seems to be the way with the small teams at the moment.
Ramar Posted December 16, 2008 Author Posted December 16, 2008 Yep, seems to be the way with the small teams at the moment. Dyson in quality post shocker!! Sunday's game should be awesome, I just hope I can still make it.
MadDog Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/b/blackburn_rovers/7784967.stm Ince has been sacked
Emerald Emblem Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 It's quite something. Managers seem to get no time nowhere days.
BlueStar Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Well done Blyth Spartans, they might be a town full of smackheads but they're doing themselves proud in the cup. Sam Asdaprice new Blackburn manager.
Roostophe Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Pics of Spurs' proposed stadium plans: http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/futureplans/news/insightintostadiumdesign161208.html http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/futureplans/news/clubrevealsfirstimagesofproposednewstadium161208.html I don't think "Naming Rights Stadium" has a nice ring to it. I think they should call it "Black Kidney Avenue".
Ramar Posted December 17, 2008 Author Posted December 17, 2008 Or they could just call it Emirates Stadium MKII. If they get that stadium, I think most of the hardcore will be embarassed to have a stadium like ours, especially when most of them damned ours and laughed at it.
nekunando Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Chelsea v Juventus Villarreal v Panathinaikos Sporting Lisbon v Bayern Munich Atletico Madrid v FC Porto Lyon v Barcelona Real Madrid v Liverpool Arsenal v Roma Inter Milan v Manchester United Ties to be played on 24th/25th February and 10th/11th March.
spirited away Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Damn, if we and Villa both win our Uefa matches, we have to play each other. Let's just hope CSKA Moscow have a good game...
MadDog Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Real Madrid... Not bad There not doing well in La Liga
Roostophe Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Damn, if we and Villa both win our Uefa matches, we have to play each other. Let's just hope CSKA Moscow have a good game... Oh, that's nice. Scared, are you?
Ramar Posted December 19, 2008 Author Posted December 19, 2008 The draw suits me. Roma are a beatable by team, and maybe we'll get to play at their ground twice in the competition. Also had a preminition on the bus today, Adebayor is going to have the game of his season on Sunday. I've been on his back a bit, and he's not performed, but Sunday he can change that. Definitely put a bet on him at the ground.
Emerald Emblem Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Simply put, Arsenal must win this Sunday. To be only 5 points behind Liverpool will the Premier League title seem possible. To fall 11 points behind will destroy Most believe
Ramar Posted December 19, 2008 Author Posted December 19, 2008 I just hope the crowd are behind the team. The support for the last home game against Wigan was shit. I don't care how cold people are, surely signing and getting involved will warm you up. I'm gonna be well up for it come Sunday.
