Tellyn Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 That ain't news, Christian Svensson from Capcom confirmed that they were dramatically reworking it over half a year ago.
Hero-of-Time Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 How was it originally? It had a cartoony look but it was very rough around the edges. Who knows what it looks like now? They should just use the same style as they did with Zack adn Wiki.
Tellyn Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Shino, since this is the original thread for the game, you could always just, y'know, look back a few pages.
Shino Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 But, but... yeah I was lazy. I didn't remember this game, it had some charm but I'm happy they're changing it, it shows dedication and hopefully better graphics.
ShadowV7 Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 To be fair though, the thread is fairly big
Tellyn Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 To be fair though, all the screenshots are actually on the first post and on page 1.

Retro_Link Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Yeah looks alright from those, I like the 4th video especially! looking forward to a new trailer!
D_prOdigy Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 That original look never offended me in any way. Would be interesting to see how they're "majorly revamped" it, though.
Ganepark32 Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Yeh, I liked the initial look. I have a feeling we'll be getting a more realistic looking title though with the revamp, which is a shame but ultimately, Capcom were the ones not happy with it.
Tellyn Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Yeah, to be honest I didn't really mind Spyborgs' original style.
Ganepark32 Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Yes, I believe it is as that is how it looked when they first showed it.
mcj metroid Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 they said almost instantly they were going to revamp it.. I don't even think the original looked too bad.. I think I always had high hopes for this game because of the developers*looks back on thread* .. yey I did Id hope for a complete cel shaded style nothing gritty.. but I wouln't mind that either.. I'm never pushed with graphics as long as it doesnt look like crusin
Retro_Link Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 I think it would be great if the in-game could perhaps more closely resemble the cartoon cutscenes, but still, it looked alright in those videos!
Hero-of-Time Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Here's an update from GoNintendo. Capcom has updated their blog with a blurb about Spyborgs. The first paragraph is dedicated to the leaked animatic footage that popped up last week. It’s the second paragraph that is much more interesting… The new Spyborgs is looking really good. When people’s first reactions are surprise that those graphics are on the Wii, you know you’re on to something. We’re excited to reveal it to you all soon. I’m working with Marketing to get permission to post a teaser of some kind: a screenshot, a piece of a screenshot, some character art… anything! I haven’t yet found the right thing to bribe them with. Any suggestions? Now you’ve gone and done it, Capcom. Hyping up the graphics for the second go-around. Are we going to hype ourselves only to be let down when we see what the game looks like?

mcj metroid Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 so like when do we get to see these "stunning" graphics.... They bragged about this before lol.
david.dakota Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 good to see an update. With Capcom's success on the HD machines, was begining to worry this'd be put on the back burner.
Retro_Link Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 Looks nice! Why does there appear to be a beat-em-up mode?
dazzybee Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 That's probably a boss or mid boss or something. And when I say that, I mean it's co-op so thats just both players energy!
Hero-of-Time Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 (edited) so like when do we get to see these "stunning" graphics.... They bragged about this before lol. Probably next week when the Captivate 09 news will be released, we may get lucky and see more leaked stuff though. Edited April 24, 2009 by Hero-of-Time
