Indeed, plus her character digs fatties so there's some hope for you yet!

Bits and pieces from ComicCon:

Dexter

John Lithgow will be playing the 'Trinity Killer', someone who kills in threes. Been wanted for a long time but hops around a lot. Lundy returns and is on the case and asks for Dex to be his inside man. Dexter has his new baby boy, which is keeping him up all night and causing him to slip up a bit.

Trailer

They're also doing a 12 episode animated prequel...randomly enough. http://www.thrfeed.com/2009/07/dexter-panel-comic-con-.html

Chuck

No news, but an awesome poster:

More ComicCon stuff;

Dollhouse - Tidbits on Season 2 - spoilers for "Epitaph One"

But Joss told the panel that even though the future is fixed, and the stuff we see in "Epitaph One" is definitely real, we haven't seen the whole picture. For one thing, the "flash backs" we saw featuring our main characters were memories and may have been unreliable, plus some of those events may not have played out the way we thought they did. And also, the very first episode of season two will feature another glimpse of Felicia Day and the other survivors in the future. But the show won't turn into "post-apocalyptic sometimes," Whedon promises — we'll only see the post-apocalyptic future when it's really important.

Also, Whedon told the panel that we'll be seeing more of the Dolls dealing with issues disfigurement. Claire Saunders is going to be dealing with the realization that she's not who she thought she was all along. Meanwhile, Victor is going to be getting better from his own disfigurement "rather quickly."

He also says we'll definitely be seeing a few episodes featuring Angel's Alexis Denisof, which is welcome news. Plus possibly a bit of Summer Glau. Meanwhile, comics god John Cassaday is going to direct one episode of the show.

“We had always intended for Paul to find the Dollhouse and for his interaction to change because we didn’t want him to be like the reporter in ‘The Hulk,’ showing up too late every episode,” Whedon said of the Ballard character. “And now they’ve been working on him from the outside with November and his alliance with Echo is going to be really tested, because he’s going to be in there with her partially to protect her but also to find out what’s really going on. You know you can gaze into the abyss or you can actually live in it, it’s going to affect you. so we are going to see that while (Echo) is starting to grow, we’re going to see that everybody else really starting to come apart a little bit.”

“Well I think ultimately the thing that fascinates me is morality and personal politics; the politics of the personal, of the person in the moment as opposed to the statement,” Whedon said. “Yet I would say in terms of the second season, the abuse of power and the different kinds of forms it can take is going to become broader and more, in fact, political, and we’re going to see the Dollhouse in the world a bit more.”

Whedon on a “Dollhouse” comic book: “I don’t see it happening. I don’t care how good an artist is, they’re not gonna make an Eliza. Ultimately you know she doesn’t fly, she doesn’t shoot firebolts, except in that one episode — it’s gonna be awesome. So I think this belongs exactly where it is: on television… and in fanfic.”

[i presume he's ignoring the fact they're drawing Eliza for the Buffy comics...]

Also someone has tweeted that Jamie Barber is going to be in the S2 Premiere, but as he seemed excited maybe he meant Jamie Bamber (BSG)...unless this guy loves the OC. One of the two of them anyway. Can't find it discussed elsewhere.

When a fan asked if the writers were concerned that reworking the show drastically would cause general Dollhouse system failure, Joss said, "As long as we don't send anyone to feudal Japan, we should be fine." For those not clear on the matter, that was a Heroes slam. - lol

THIS...IS...SPARTACUS!!!!.....Blood and Sand

New series from Starz. Has a few big names attached to it; Sam Raimi (Spider-Man), Rob Talpert (Drag Me to Hell) and Steven S. DeKnight (Smallville) executive producing. It features Lucy Lawless (Xena: Warrior Princess), Peter Mensa (300) and Erin Cummings (Dollhouse). Looks blood tastic.

So, now with so many good TV shows ended like Scrubs, Prison Break, My Name is Earl etc. Are they any new good series coming out this/next year?

Scrubs is still going...

But in terms of whats new you can always check out this list.

Cougartown looks okay. Bill Lawrence (Scrubs) with Courtney Cox and Christa Miller (Jordan from Scrubs).

V looks like good sci-fi.

Other than that I can't think of anything I'm personally interested in.

Smallville Series Nine

(contains annoying fan girls)

- Opens with footage, shows off Metallo.

- Clip montage shows Supergirl, Zatanna, JLA, Legion, etc.

- Footage ends with Clark on top of a building in costume. S on chest. Packed 6,000+ crowd goes nuts. "We know that there's a long, sort of arc, to become really who Superman becomes. For us, we know that it's a bumpy road, and he's not going to go straight to a tailor, probably, and figure it out the first time. So that's kind of where that idea came from. You'll understand it when you see the season premiere."

- Erica Durance finally getting more than 11 episodes per season: 18 in season 9.

- The producers are going for season 10.

- Lex is absolutely not dead.

- Producers not worried about moving to Fridays, because of shows like Battlestar Galactica having success there.

- Why Clark isn't flying will be addressed in the premiere.

- No plans on bringing Jimmy back.

- Geoff Johns to write JSA episode!

- Toyman coming back. Roulette making Smallville debut.

- Producers considering doing a Green Arrow sidekick story.

- Tom Welling now a co-executive producer, directing 2 episodes.

- Alison Mack directing an episode.

Info on Jericho Season Three

Will probably wait for the hardback.

Also, that pictue of the superman costume above is as much a lie as the cake.

Jamie Bamber (aka Apollo) has been confirmed for Dollhouse 2.01.

Dollhouse is getting like some sort of halfway house for BSG actors, while they figure out what to do after BSG. (Though Bamber is in that polic show, isn't he?)

Could swear I saw a trailer on tv for a series called "Moonlight" about....Vampires.

Good lord, I wish this shitty craze would just die. True Blood looks like shit, which is a shame, as I like Anna Paquin. Twilight is shit, and I expect the second to be about as loin-tinglingly aimed at teenage girls. (and shit) (thought apparently Thom Yorke has written/sung a track for the soundtrack. What a bizarre combination.)

I've heard good things about True Blood. Don't know if I'll get round to watching it though. I don't really care for vampires, not since Buffy ended.

I heard bad things about it. ::shrug: But obviously we'll never know until we watch it. But the trailers looked uninspiring to say the least.

True. I just realised when writing that last comment that I really actually don't give a flying toss about vampires any more. They're pretty retarded. :heh:

Except that film 'Daybreakers' looks like it could be good.

Moonlight is actually a couple of years old now I think and already cancelled. If I remember right it came around right after they cancelled Angel and people were just going on about why get rid of Angel then replace it with another show about a vampire detective.

Ever watched Let The Right One In Daft?

It´s in my opinion the only good Vampire related thing to come in a long while.

Crazy you should say that, I just added it to my LoveFilm rentals. I knew it was a horror film, didn't know it was about vampires specifically. I guess I could give those blood suckers another chance. :heh:

To be fair, Bamber did Law & Order UK right after BSG.

Moonlight was a show (as was the Bruce Willis "Moonlighting" just to confuse matters), Vampire Diaries is a new one starting this fall. Moonlight was more in the vain of Angel, this I believe is more in the vain of Twilight.

And I've heard only excellent things about True Blood personally.

I want to see Let The Right One In. That looks decent, and not just the product of someone cashing in on the current trend.
