Choze Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 do so, i am thinking of playing it. Another cool MMOrpg is Aion but its not out yet. I like to add GT5P to this.
RoadKill Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 Possibly Crysis, the lighting is sublime, and the way sun rays cast shadows around objects dynamically looks awesome, through tree branches, and any object you feel like throwing through the air.. But I'm talking about most realistic looking, as for graphical style, and art direction, that's WAY harder to choose, and really just personal opinion
thirtynine. Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 Minimum specs to run this game are... * Pentium 90 * Windows 95/98/ME * 16 Mb of Ram * Video Card with 2 Mb DirectX 5.0 compatible * Sound Card compatible as above * CD-Rom 4x reader and 150 MB of free HD space And it still look pretty.
mcj metroid Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 its always hard to find screen of this but rayman on ps1 was gorgeous
Problematique Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Myst IV is beautiful even if it is prerendered: http://www.wallpaperlink.com/images/wallpaper/2007/0706/03484x.jpg Baten Kaitos was always a beauty as well, it oozed charm: http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2004/screen0/917921_20040512_screen013.jpg Bioshock is incredible too, just the right balance of graphical "realism" and arty charm. That's the problem I have with games like Crysis, it looks great but that doesn't really last. Games like the above kept me wowed through the whole game because they had so much charm and fitted incredibly well with the game.
flameboy Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Minimum specs to run this game are... * Pentium 90 * Windows 95/98/ME * 16 Mb of Ram * Video Card with 2 Mb DirectX 5.0 compatible * Sound Card compatible as above * CD-Rom 4x reader and 150 MB of free HD space And it still look pretty. One of my favourite games ever...altho it is all pre rendered...great how it all ties in the film and has multiple paths and endings.
D_prOdigy Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Wind Waker, GRID, Crysis and Galxy all spring to mind for their own, seperate reasons. But without doubt, just for no-frills and sheer boldness on the developers part: DEFCON deserves a mention.
Wesley Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 I seem to think I'm missing a game I really love...
Demuwan Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 I think Metroid Series needs some praise, man. Been playing more prime 3 today and some of it is just plain gorgeous, seriously. The art design is quite literally out of this world (soz) and the lighting is so sumptuous. I wish I could get a good pick of some of the best it has to offer but there aren't many on the net. The attention to detail is mindboggling absolutely flabbergasting attention to detail in some environments. Retro Studios are the best artistic developers around. I don't even wanna think about what they could do with a 360 or PS3.
Wesley Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Yeah, to be fair, the first snow scene in Metroid Prime blew my socks off.
Demuwan Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Yeah, to be fair, the first snow scene in Metroid Prime blew my socks off. I think it blew everyones socks off! Whenever I talk about MP I always ask what was your impression the first time you entered phrendrana. (ps Scan Visor was genius! Why they changed the 3d pictures from the 1st one I don't know.)
Guest Stefkov Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 That's that Love game isn't it? I saw a video, a bad video, and it looked quite nice.
Mr. Bananagrabber Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 XIII. I'd forgotten how beautiful Metroid Prime was. Phendrana Drifts especially.
Shino Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Why can't I find any video of that Love game? Looks interesting.
Wesley Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 This is the only footage I know of: http://kotaku.com/372211/love-footage
Mr. Bananagrabber Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 I remember getting that with my N64 on Christmas morning. It was just amazingly beautiful.
RoadKill Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 images It does look good, but in the second screenshot, the guys hand is clipping through the steering wheel
Guest Jordan Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 After playing GT5p, i know its not complete... but it doesn't look that good. The cars are, incredible but the enviroments feel pretty static and unrealistic in comparison to PGR3/4. Also, the wing mirrors don't have the same detail levels as the rear view mirror... oh and the right analogue should be camera control.
