The thing is, hardly any shops seem to be getting much/any stock to start with!

My point is that I don't think European sales of the 360 version will be strong enough to convince Namco-Bandai to bring out the PS3 version here. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see it come out here, I'm just not holding out much hope for it.

At least we have a version in Europe - and I'm loving it so far! :D

I'm pretty sure that Namco would release it here on the PS3, purely for the reason that JRPGs sell much, much better on the PS3. I think Microsoft must have paid a lot of money to get this RPG first as it really made little sense for them to release the game on 360 over in Japan. It really didn't sell well at all, from what I can remember. If I were in Namco's position, I'd be shoving it out on the PS3 in all areas to make up for poorer 360 sales.

Take a look at comments number 1 and number 29 - some hope, perhaps?

Got it this morning and loving it :D Voice overs are quality and i'm loving the main character; much better than that freakin' Lloyd off Symphonia ('Hey, quit it Genis!'). Can't wait to get into it more.

I'm a bit disappointed in this it's enjoyable although uninspired, but maybe I've been spoiled by Star Ocean's huge amount of customization, fluid battle system and quality presentation.

I'm not saying the gameplay is awful but the battle system although fun as usual is a bit clunky compared to even Tales Symphonia and the dungeon design is dull. At least the voice acting and most of the script/dialog is much more tolerable in Vesperia than in Star Ocean and the skill system is pretty cool.

I agree, When I started I found it a bit annoying, five battles after I'm still slightly getting used to it. It would be better if the attack button was A and Arte was B.

At present the block button is practically useless, after attacking I like to block to protect against their retaliation, except Yuri fucks around with his sword so much I don't get the chance. The Azure Arte is also bad for this. I've learnt a new one, so I should get round to changing it.

On a small text issue, the three different fonts are alright, but they don't seem to affect speech, which is the main problem for me, would be better bold. The only pr0 issue is enemy names, when you hold RB to switch targets, the enemy names are impossible to read. Doesn't hinder gameplay, but it would be nice to know who I'm kicking the shit out of.

I love the end of battle phrase [something like]:

Yuri: You'll have to train for 100 years to beat me.

Estelle: Because you're older than them right?

Yuri: ... Not exactly.

Menu -> Save & Load -> Change settings -> Button Configuration :)

Since I had Star Ocean I had to tweak the button controls to the similar format. Also I thought I had to do the battle against the mad guy with 2 blades yet I got a secret mission achievement for it.

Also after Playing Star Ocean first I have to agree it feels a little clunky and awkward. why did you keep this game from us for so long Namco bandai!? I might be getting used to it easier and enjoying it that bit more if you released it before Star Ocean.

If I understand it correctly, the "secret mission" achievements need you to do a particular action during the normal boss battles, rather than being a separate mission in their own right.

Sorry, Which menu is this?

I'm guessing the one where you press Y?

Loving the game atm, i'm just hoping a character pops up who's as cool as Kratos/Zelos/Sheena from Symphonia. I mean, i'm loving Yuri but jeez, that little kid is annoying as hell. Reminds of the kid of Eternal Sonata actually...

Ugh, the boss from the demo is still as hard as he was before. only took 2 attempts but since 2 characters fainted I decided to try a 3rd and keep the whole team alive, unfortunately Estelle succumbed to poison as I dealt the killing blow and since I got the achievement I decided to move on anyway. Currently level 21.

Oh BTW, after counting the playable characters you see in the opening I notice there is the possibility of adding 2 more characters to the out of party characters area to it depending how the out of party character pictures are spaced out. Probably reading too much into it but is this a sign of the PS3 characters getting a DLC to the 360? Or are there other characters you get in the game despite the initial 8 from the OP?

I keep getting annihilated by that damn golem boss. Any tips?

I just pimpsmacked him first time today, had to use a fair few life bottles though. One thing semi-troubled me, it wouldn't let me use items on my team members, yet they seemed to be able to use items on others, including on me.

I just failed in spectacular fashion against the wolf boss though, it took care of us in seconds.

No, you don't get any more.

You need a skill to give items to allies. Maybe they have one activated.

I think I'm a bit ahead of you. I'm on vacation, but I have had no intention of stepping outside since I got the game. I just going to finish off a few sidequests then it's off to the final boss after 65 hours of play ^^

About 2 and a half hours in this game. Awesome :)

One quick questions: After a battle you have these weird light thingies coming from you. What do those mean?

Just about to do the Mission defeating the mermen on the way to the desert to find the talking Bird Monster.

About 17 and 1/2 hours in with characters around 31-32.

I'm also shocked to get an 100G achievement about a 3rd into the story, Mind you it was what Yuri was aiming to do for so long.

10 hours in. I don't think I have done any sidequest at all. Except looking for the magic chef I really don't think that there has been at least on more sidequest I could have done. ::shrug:

Anyway, I love this game. The characters are credible, the gameplay is amazing, the story is really good (I guess the story gets more intense soon) and I can see myself playing this over and over again.
