Do/Did you ever find clowns funny?

I have rarely been in a situation that involves watching a clown but i do not find them funny! At a circus i went to they either bored me because there act was not funny or creeped me out because they are so weird with the odd looking painted on smiles.

 

The fact that the Joker is a clown and in other films the clown is the murderer doesn't help to change my thoughts on clowns and makes it worse as now i sort of find them a bit scary as their whole appearance is off putting!

I found it funny in Scary Movie 2 when the clown gets raped...

 

I think the appeal of a clown's act is more child orientated.

I also don't find clowns funny - I feel they are deliberately trying to act stupid to make the audience laugh.

I only know two funny clowns: Crusty the Clown and the Joker.

I like The Joker when he's actually written to be a criminally insane random, who kills people then laughs.

 

I hate it when they water him down and make him a crap clown.
