Isn't Gearboxs' job to simply finish a game which was started 12 years ago? Surely if it was modernised it would defeat the object and be a completely different game than was intended. Personally i'm not expecting anything groundbraking just a fun romp.

Says May the 3rd on the email I got about it, but yeah, going to be awesome, love the Duke.

May 3rd is the American release date, May 6th is for everywhere else. Not much of a longer wait though, so yay!

I think I've watched the trailer about six times now and I've already pre-ordered the game. Sure the gameplay looks mediocre but the 80's Action-Hero feeling when playing as the Duke should make up for it all :D

Hehe, 6th of May is my birthday. Too bad I don't buy games at launch. I can just wait some 4 or 5 months and buy it at a 1/3 of the price. :)

After watching the trailer I'm expecting this to suck. Still awesome though!

Really, to be truly awesome...it needs to kind of suck, in a hilarious way.

Like I want some awkward bugs and Duke is all "God damn, 14 years and they still fucked me up".

PLEASE NOTE: I'm not sure if this is real or not, but it apparently appeared on the Facebook page of a French video games store (source: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=182240881813474&set=a.113232138714349.6554.113229745381255)...

If that's real, I'm totally buying it!!!

Oh, and DNF is going to be appearing on GTTV in 18 hours time, though there's already hands-on impressions round te internet right now.

Well the image is rather obviously a blatant mock up from even a moment's glance, kind of overflowing with CG there. Obviously it could potentially be a mock up of something that actually will exist i guess

If it ain't real I don't see it being far from the truth. I'm sure the DNF release will be milked as much as possible.

Personally I ain't buying any more CEs after the Fable 3 debacle. It's a cracking CE, but somehow it goes for less used than the retail edition. I'm bored of the game, but unless I want to take <£10 for the game, playing cards and coin I ain't likely to shift it.

Am I the only one who thinks this looks mindnumbingly awful? It's like it's made for 11 year olds (no offence which will inevitably be taken) - ripped the pissing gag from Austin Powers which wasn't funny 15 years ago; it all seems so forced, trying so hard to be funny and witty and risque. Looks painful! And his voice is absolutely retarded! Don't they know they that every man voice in games needs to be the guy from Uncharted?!!

Except Marios...

It looks okay, but it doesn't look like it will recapture the old DN3D feeling, nor does it look like a game that was 12 (?) years in the making.

I don't care how crappy it is, it's the Duke! As long as it delivers stupid violence and babes everything should be alright.

Also it was so long in the making, there's a certain something to owning a game that was a joke for years.

I have already pre-ordered the collector's edition.

If you don't instantly see Duke Nukem Forever and think "I want to own this because it's Duke Nukem Forever" then you're probably never going to get why anyone wants it and probably wont ever have a reason to buy it.

I expect virtually no hardcore gamer is buying this simply because of the trailers.

Just seeing this on my shelf is going to make me feel like im part of some legendary time to be alive.

Amazing none of this perk-based hiding in a corner with a sniper rifle shit the kids are playing these days. No nonsense shooter. I likes.
