Razz Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Just got chatted up by some guy on Home. Was weird. How on earth would that work? Messaging is sooo slow for the average non-keyboard/weird qwerty add on for PS controller person!
Daft Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 How on earth would that work? Messaging is sooo slow for the average non-keyboard/weird qwerty add on for PS controller person! Just press Triangle and type. Not that slow. He said he liked my name. Then we got chatting about Daft Punk. We ended up talking about football. I have to point out, my avatar is a sexy lady.
dwarf Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 It's so funny getting attention when you wonder around as a helghast soldier. I just stand somewhere, wait for someone and then say 'Yes, I am badass.' and basically gloat.
Daft Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Also we can save and load battle replays Keep the good ones. Yeah, you can show them to your grand children.
dwarf Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Haha, love it. If they were 3D like Halo it would be better. I still wouldn't show them to anyone though, after more than a month anyway.
Daft Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 HAWX from LoveFILM should come tomorrow. Thought I'd give it a go after Yahtzee's review. Also pre-ordered inFAMOUS from Play.
dwarf Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Bastard, I need to pre-order it too but I doubt my parents will let me with this exam period. Can't believe my most anticipated game is going to have for a month after it releases.
Chris the great Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Exams = priority. You can game anytime. I will be playing while you suffer. i am unemployed, i shal be playing while YOU suffer.
Daft Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Bastard, I need to pre-order it too but I doubt my parents will let me with this exam period. Can't believe my most anticipated game is going to have for a month after it releases. My exams finish 3 days before this is released. Also helps I don't need my parent's permission.
dwarf Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 You're all bastards, the lot of you! Why the injustice? I could wait for pretty much any other game.
Chris the great Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 You're all bastards, the lot of you! Why the injustice? I could wait for pretty much any other game. think of it this way, you do well in exams, you do well in lie, later in life you get a hot wife and nice things. i imagine i will still be sat in my boxers playing video games alone. nah just kidding, in gonna rock the shit.
Cookyman Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Has any of you lot got Rock Band 2 or Guitar hero World 2 yet - I wanna rock with you guys online!!!! Oh and lets not forget everybody's golf world tour!
Daft Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 I have the Virtual Console one. I hope this is a new one. Hopefully with online co-op. I WANT RAIDEN FOR PSN!!!
Gizmo Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Anyone else see the parallel between Infamous + Uncharted beta and Crackdown + Halo beta? :p Apparently sandbox games are the medium of choice for distributing the next big shooter beta :p
Daft Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 It's a nightmare to launch a new IP. This kind of thing should happen more often. I was always going to buy both games first day anyway.
dwarf Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 (edited) Wolverine got 7.8 or something like that on IGN. Never going to buy a movie-game tie in. NEVERZ!!! I just played the Red Faction Guerilla demo, and at the start as I was running, shooting and generally being an ass in what was a boring desert locale that showcased the crappy AI and explosion effects in the game, so I was looking forward to slate it on here, but how can I when I actually found it fun? This 3rd person objective/small sandbox genre has been done so many times before (Mercenaries is best example) and you can tell it's not that polished and there are areas where you know budget constraints have been set, but the vehicles are fun, everything has the nice habit of crumbling and breaking when you smash into it and at the end of the demo you just get to laugh at some 4x4s as you cream them with a mounted Rofl Launcher. No part of the game has originality to it but it has a similar charm to some PS2 games where you can laugh now at the bad enemy intelligence along with the copy and pasted floors and hills but there's no denying it actually works. As a demo it is brilliant actually. Edited May 1, 2009 by dwarf
Daft Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 I loved running through that two story building with the leggy arm machine thing you pick up. Reminded me of that scene in iRobot. I'm not too sure I actually like the controls though. There's something a bit off about them but I probably just need to give it more time.
dwarf Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Yeah it's kinda like the thing that chases him through the building with about the same level of destruction. Only thing I thought the controls weren't good for was weapon swapping. Other than that no problems I think.
Daft Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Yeah, it might just have been that. I'm also worried that the landscape is going to be really samey.
MATtheHAT Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Have to wait a fricking month for Demon Souls to arrive thanks to some delays. Tis what I get for not paying the extra £25 (O_O) to get it delivered fast. I *think* i can wait. Got tons of games to play and complete anyways. Just bought it today import from Hong Kong (might get here before Christmas). The reviews say it is rock hard, we should team up and do it co-op?
dwarf Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 You going online Choze? As for Red Faction, that Mars theme WILL get boring, no question. Thing is I reckon the missions could be interesting. If there was ever a game that would be good for a rent I think this would be it. Guarenteed fun and cool moments. The X-Men demo was pretty cool. Surprised how polished it was, graphically good. Again, more of a rent than a purchase.
Daft Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 @ Choze Yeah, I'm waiting for them to announce that at E3. If not I'll go the import route.
dwarf Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 This is the game that goes under the radar. It's brilliant that it's exclusive but I'd like there to be more media and impressions for it. Guess it's a game we can kind of talk about with a sense of specialness and secrecy. That sounds pretty sad but oh well, most of the stuff I say is.
