Just when we hoped the Brokeback Mountain jokes would go away, OK! claims Heath Ledger’s “in talks” for a sequel to his gay cowboy drama.

Although we won’t be seeing his pal Jake Gyllenhaal, 26, Heath Ledger, 28, is currently in negotiations to reprise his role as Ennis. “It will follow the nasty process of being openly gay in 1963 Wyoming, an insider tells OK! “Ennis will finally come out of the closet.”

If they fuck this up, I shall not be best pleased.

Possible Meeting Between Hulk and Iron Man in their respective movies

(Setting up for Avengers?)

Hey, everyone. â€Moriarty†here.

This is interesting, and it plays into something we’ve been saying for a little while here at AICN. We broke the story earlier this year that Sam Jackson will appear in IRON MAN as Nick Fury. I heard from a completely different source that there might be a similar scene in THE INCREDIBLE HULK, something that was added late in the process. Could it be that Marvel’s going to set up their eventual AVENGERS movie by connecting all these movies up via one character who approaches each of these heroes separately?

I’m not sure there really is a second Nick Fury appearance. But when I got this e-mail (edited a bit to protect the spy) today, it made me wonder anew... just how closely related are these worlds all going to be? I like this possible way of doing it far more than Warner’s proposed out-of-continuity JUSTICE LEAGUE film.

Anyway... check this out, grain of salt included unless we can verify it soon:

There are some fuzzy politics going on with the Iron Man and Hulk movies - they're shooting a scene TOGETHER! The trouble is, I can't tell if its an Iron Man scene with the Hulk in in or a Hulk scene with IRON MAN in it, more interestingly, it's possible that the SAME SCENE or some variation of it might be in BOTH movies lending to the comic book / single universe, many heroes idea seen in the past - uber cool.

If you use this, call me The Adamantium Doom Machine

Friday night only $8.6 million from 3,528 theaters with anemic per screen average. Weekend estimate for $27 million. Cost of movie: $200+ million. Wildly expensive flop should sink New Line Cinema chairman Bob Shaye's chances to stay on when his contract expires in 2008

As I mentioned in the Last Film Thread, if this flops, new line are in trouble. Guess what? It has.

One of the most expensive movies ever made estimated to made 27 million on it's opening weekend. Ouchies.

Damn those Christians. Damn them!

Seriously, I'm glad it floped. It's awfull. New Line need to learn a lesson. They need to give their directors creative controll over things. One of the worst companies there is.

May this lead to either the cancellation of the sequels or the improvement of the teams shooting the second and third movies. Either way, it'd be a blessing.

I Am Legend News:

Even though it has been rated a PG-13 in America (12A), the BBFC has rated it a 15 in the UK, as have many other European countries. Apparently, the UK version of the movie has additional scenes. (Like they did with Black Christmas).

Woop.

Anyone else Hyped for "St Trinians"?

Looks like it could be rather awesome.

Posh accents + Girls in School Uniforms + Blowing up a shed + Cheese + British humour. I like those odds.

Yeah, Im a bit worried. How old are they? Cos like...at one bit they are in their underwear. Its quite hawt.

Lol, most of them are about 18/older...I think.:heh:

Is it true girls aloud have a cameo in it? I heard something about them being in school uniforms for the movie, but have no idea if they're actually in it or not.

Daniel Craig will have the same car (Aston Martin DBS) in the next Bond film.

One thing I don't get:

The DBS previously starred in Casino Royale, which saw the car in one of the most spectacular stunts in movie history, when the DBS was rolled a total of seven times

I thought the car crash was the most unspectacular part of the whole movie...

Hopefully it'll get some decent usage in the next film (like a chase with some minor gadget gimmicks).
