Guest Jordan Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Man, if you have trouble with Ken... You're really going to have trouble with other characters. Ken, Ryu, Sagat are totally made for beating the shit out of Seth. I finished the game with another 6 characters tonight (E.Honda, Blanka, Sagat, Bison, Balrog and Abel), haven't bothered going back to Dhalshit.
Chris the great Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 http://www.gametrailers.com/player/usermovies/306775.html found this on game traillers, bassicly says how to beat the game on hardest difficulty without even trying. just helicopter with zangife, constantly. looks boring as to play like that, but i guess you get the trophie/achivment.
ShavenWolf Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Is there anywhere that's not online selling this game for £30 or less?
Hero-of-Time Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Thats how I did it. I also used this method to get the Legendary Achievement the only problem is trying to hit Zangiefs Ultra 3 times so you fight Gouken. EDIT: Oh if you are gonna try this method then watch out for Cammy, she is the only fighter that the method doesn't work on. Stupid drill kick! EDIT 2: I see Jordan has just done it
Happenstance Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 I can beat everyone up to Seth with the Zangief way but he still kicks my arse! EDIT: Never mind, I did it now
Hero-of-Time Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 I can beat everyone up to Seth with the Zangief way but he still kicks my arse! Stick it on 30 seconds and do enough damage and then just back off.
Guest Jordan Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 BTW install = no extra loading. It loads the same amount of time no matter what, which is cool(once announcer finishes speaking). With BD it varied abit. Basically the same as a HDD install on the 360. Its pretty cool, if anything the game seems to wait for the announcer to finish speaking. Finished the single player with another 6 characters this morning. Unlocked another 2 characters. Weirdly, I went against Akuma and beat him... And he didn't unlock. Have to look into that.
ReZourceman Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Yeah the Install saved my ass. Cuts it from 21 seconds to 6.5 seconds. Awesome. Akumas diagonal down hadouken thing is really hard to do on the d-pad. I have in fact only managed to do it on the stick. Loving it though. Need to practise/practice.
DiemetriX Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 I just played the PS3 version, and there is more loading than the 360 version. About 7secounds extra for every level. Anyone know why I didn't unlock Gouken? He didn't even show up I beat the game with "you know who" first. And I did 2 perfects and 3 ultra moves. Easy game, 60secounds, 3rounds. (using m.bison)

DiemetriX Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Have you unlocked everyone else first? I have unlocked Everyone except Seth. -- To many Kens online :/ 7 out of 8 fights so far have been Kens.

(using m.bison) You know you have to perform 3 Ultra Finishes right? Not just the moves. (Along with the 2 perfects) Also, you can drop the rounds down to one, just makes it a bit faster.: peace:
DiemetriX Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 I did 3 Ultra finishes. I give up on life :| Have a loosing streak online now And there's no doubt about it. Ken is my kryptonite.
Happenstance Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 So you've unlocked everyone else, have you finished arcade mode with Akuma aswell?
ReZourceman Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 I don't understand the command list...like what do all the symbols mean. How do you do Akumas specials? What buttons, can someone explain.
DiemetriX Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 So you've unlocked everyone else, have you finished arcade mode with Akuma aswell? jepp. :/ strange -- Why do I only meet people online with 10times more battlepoints than me :|!
Happenstance Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 And you have used no continues during all these times?
Chris the great Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 I just played the PS3 version, and there is more loading than the 360 version. About 7secounds extra for every level. instaling the game reduces that. it was a major factor in my seth rage.
DiemetriX Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 And you have used no continues during all these times? that is correct. (I used one continue while beating the game with seth) But not when trying to unlock goken -- WHY WON'T PEOPLE FIGHT FARE!!!! ARGH My streak ruined by some one standing on the opposite side of the room shooting fire balls.
Mike Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 I don't understand the command list...like what do all the symbols mean. How do you do Akumas specials? What buttons, can someone explain. For his ultra move, you have to quickly tap light punch, light punch, back, light kick, hard punch. For the super move, it's forward instead of back. You just need to get used to tapping them really quickly. Once I could do that (which really didn't take long), I found it to be the ultra move that I could pull off the most consistantly.
Shorty Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 That Zangief cheat winning thing is.... the lamest thing I have ever, ever seen. I can't believe anyone would use that to get an achievement they obviously don't deserve. Sorry, just saying.
ReZourceman Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Awesome, cheers Mike. I've got the hang of Shadadadoken thing (not that it does much damage) by just rotating the analogue stick (just a half arc doesn't seem to do it) That Zangief cheat winning thing is.... the lamest thing I have ever, ever seen. I can't believe anyone would use that to get an achievement they obviously don't deserve. Sorry, just saying. Whats that?
Shorty Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 see previous page. it's just a way of beating hardest difficulty without trying. so when once the achievement would've been a way of saying 'wow, that guy's really good - he has the achievement for beating hardest mode, impressive!' now everybody will have it and you won't know who earned it and who just cheated.
