Posted May 1, 2009 Handed in my dissertation! Not quite as joyous as I anticipated. No champagne, fireworks or the like, although I did victory dance into a cleaning lady. I suppose knowing I still have this ruddy assignment to do. Although the lecturer has told me that it needs to be approached by any theory and post-structuralism looks like it may work...but may go for an easier one just to get this over and done with. Even if it is with Z-list celebrities from crappy reality tv shows (OB and Max from Survivor or something...if I can be bothered I'm tempted to make a shirt saying "I don't need your Z-list celebrities" which will be an improvement on the last time we had a 'celebrity' in the form of Sky Mangel (Neighbours) and the rugby boys wore shirts saying "Sky, I want to Mangel you") Aaaanyway...not that I'm aware of (re:avatars). Whoooo on getting your dissertation done! =D *throws a small party for Ashley* My day has been okayyyy. It's a bank holiday, though I didn't have any classes today anyway, heh. Went to work instead, but only for about 3 and a half hours. Monies! Have been trying to work on an illustration today. It's pretty big A3, and I'm using acrylics, so it'll take me a while to finish probably, heh. But yeah, pretty good day I think. Posted May 1, 2009 Today I watched a VHS(!) of my life as a baby. Christening, 1st birthday, 1st Christmas, and a load of other things that fit on the 2 hour cassette. As for my day, well I was off work again today - only worked half of the last two months and have been getting pretty used to it, shame it has to end. Got a haircut then did a little shopping and got myself some jeans and a t-shirt. Whilst I absolutely despise the idea of shopping for clothes, when I'm actually doing it, it's not so bad - assuming it's not too busy that is. Then I went out to see a friend to celebrate her birthday yesterday so I spent most of the afternoon hoping from one bar/pub to another. Given I don't drink much, I think it was a mistake to start with doubles, but I was celebrating so I can forgive myself. Had a little bit too much if I'm being honest, but I'm fine now. Posted May 2, 2009 Whooo, paper is almost done! Got 10868 words at the moment, with everything written. Though I do need to add some more stuff, so it might rack up to about 11000 words! Just need to read over it all soon and fix some errors and grammar/spelling mistakes, as well as add in some extra stuff. Yay. Also made a doctor's appointment on Monday for my leg.
