not long saw one, was alright, just cant help thinking, yeah this is a chunk of rock burning. damn my scientific mind!

well yeah, but it's a chunk of rock from the outreages of space, its pretty amazing when you think about it.

There is a another one in september, thats meant to have some buts making it through and fall to earth, its going to be vital for an early warning system for earth apparently.

eh?

Anyways i've seen 2 tonight, pretty awsome.

Yeh, there was a few news things on it. It said they were going to be checking the rocks to see how old they are, how long its taken them to get here. Then from the big rocks they know off in space they'll know how long, i.e when they might either pass the earth, or destroy us.

Well, I saw a couple. Was pretty cool, whats more amazing is that the sky is clearer then I've ever seen it at night.

I can actually see whats we call the milky way. Which is amazing seeing as I'm like a minute away from Stansted Airport.

I saw one! Woo!

In the corner of my eye, a shooting star kind off thing.

What the ones in September might destroy us :|

lol, no but some are large enough to allow some bits to fall to earth, which is why its so important, its only the second time its ever happened.

ah right, so were talking years to come. I'm fine with that.

Well, we might be. A huge one could hit us in a couple of years time, at the moment we just don't know. Oh and your whole attitude towards it rocks. As long as its not when I'm here, I'm fine with it lol

I know theres one coming in about 40 years, i read it last year. So if there was one closer i'm sure we would have seen it.

Anyways, i've seen about 6 tonight. Saw a lush one before, must have lasted for well over a second.

"The idea that comets and asteroids might threaten our planet was not widely accepted until the 1980s. Then astronomers began to worry. Comet Apophis is big, about the same size as the asteroid that wiped out dinosaurs 65 million years ago, Might strike earth in 2036.

A major one (i.e species wiped out major) hits the earth every 100 million years or so, and we are long overdue one.

Sitting here in the gaff with a few of the lads having a few beers! Stood outside watching for about 40 odd mins and we saw about 15-20. Some were bigger and brighter than others but it's fucking deadly aither way!

Oh and ReZ the red star you can see is actually the planet of Mars :)

I went out at 1:45 and saw some that lasted miliseconds and one that lasted about 3 or 4 seconds that shot right accross the sky. It looks like a rocket or something. If Russia wants to launch a nuke, now is the time to do it
