Trauma Center:New Blood (Wii)

Recommended Posts

OMG! This looks amazing!!! Online ranking?! Oh yes!

I battered the first one (imported a US Wii) but got stuck on like the second last Mission (in the chapter that was added on for the Wii version). Got XS on a lot of surgeries too.

I wonder how two player will work?

Ah, marvelous! This looks more like the real deal. I wasn't sure about Second Opinion as I've already played the Ds one.

Can't wait!

Now this definitely looks worth getting, as it's an all-new story. I just hope it doesn't have the same delay as the first one in Europe.

I would get excited but until hell freezes over and we get the first one on Wii then I find it hard to care.

Official PR:

ATLUS U.S.A., INC. ANNOUNCES TRAUMA CENTER: NEW BLOOD™!

All-New Characters, All-New Emergencies, All-New Excitement!

IRVINE, CALIFORNIA — JULY 10th, 2007 — Atlus U.S.A., Inc., a leading publisher of interactive entertainment, today announced Trauma Center: New Blood, a new entry in the award-winning Trauma Center franchise, exclusively for the Wii™!

Keep your hands steady and your mind focused – this time around there’s a lot more on the line. Every cut of the scalpel, every pinch of the forceps, each and every second that ticks by is of the absolute greatest importance. If you think it's too much to handle alone, invite a friend to assist with the operation and work together to save patients from flat-lining. The adrenaline is pumping, lives are at stake, and only you can save the day. Have you got what it takes?

Trauma Center: New Blood has not yet been rated by the ESRB.

About Trauma Center: New Blood:

At a remote hospital in Alaska, Dr. Markus Vaughn quietly toils, a surgeon who has forsaken the politics and power struggles of his former ward. He is content to use the power he has discovered within himself, the Healing Touch, to positively affect the lives of those in need. His partner is Valerie Blaylock, a promising young doctor eager to unlock her own dormant abilities.

When the facility unexpectedly closes, they are forced to return to Concordia Medical Institute, where politics are more important than patient’s lives, and doctors more concerned with image than their ministration. There they are recruited into the government organization Caduceus, where they will learn of a conspiracy with dire ramifications, and their lives will be changed forever!

Key Features:

• Two Player Cooperative Play! For the first time in the series, work with a friend to race against the clock and save lives…success will require teamwork and communication – Every second counts!

• All-New Story, Characters, and Operations! Depend on a brand new medical team for support and advice as you tackle new emergencies.

• Fully Voiced Dialogue! Characters will come to life as never before as they speak to you during operations and story cutscenes.

• Full 480p and 16x9 Widescreen Support!

• Online Score Ranking System!

Sounds great! :)

This does indeed look and sound great! Never played the DS version, and was thinking of picking up Second Opinion next month, but think I'll hold on for a while. Maybe we will see it sooner than we expected, as some of those screens have English text.

And we get the first one when...?

Co-op would do well for trauma centre. Hope it's co-op and not some crappy 2 player minigames lol.

I was going to get the first one thinking it was coming out earlier but it's a joke how long they took to release it over here.

I can't be bothered now with some more worthwhile games out soon.

This will probably be out in 2009 or something going by today's standards.

This looks good though.

On the 10th of August. And it's true co-op, not minigames :heh:.

Chat with Atlus, more details about Trauma Center: New Blood

Unfortunately Trauma Center: New Blood was not playable at E3. The game is still in development, but Atlus USA is already working on localizing Trauma Center: New Blood for North America. They plan to do a dual release, Japan and the USA, this holiday season.

The story takes place ten years after the events with Derek Styles with a team of two new doctors Marcus and Valerie. GUILT isn’t part of the storyline, but there will be atypical, sci-fi like operations in New Blood. Also there are not any details about gameplay changes other than the addition of two player co-op. During multiplayer surgeries you can tell one person to handle the left side of tumors while you work on the right. Or you can be more strategic and have one person focus on draining all of the tumors while the other player cuts them out with the scalpel. There’s some flexibility here and players aren’t forced to take turns.

Atlus is putting extra polish on Trauma Center: New Blood’s presentation by adding in 16:9 widescreen, 480p, online leaderboards and fully voicing it.

During the talk it’s clear that Atlus has a strong commitment to the Trauma Center series, it’s regarded as high as their Shin Megami Tensei franchise. When I asked them if Trauma Center would ever return to its home, the Nintendo DS, I was told it’s possible. And for Trauma Center fans you might see a cameo in New Blood.

Now to the reader questions. On Princess Crown for the PSP I got a “no comment†response. For Super Robot Taisen: Original Generations on the PS2 I was told there is a slim possibility it might come out. A slim chance is still a chance. If you want to see it happen make lots of noise for Super Robot Taisen.

I am having second thoughts about Second opinion, I want to get it now but it's full price it should be cheaper. It's cheaper online but not cheap enough in my opinion. Not only the delays annoy me but this too.

I may aswell wait for New bloody IF it gets released over here..
