Ant-Shimmin Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 I know that no matter what anyone says it still probably won't happen..And countless threads have been put up But how freaking awesome would a FF7 +8 Remake be on the PS3...I'm sorry but I was just watching some footage of the games on Youtube (Since I sold my Last Playstation Console) A Remake of those games would be possibly the best re-make of all time, Ever... I have the original copies of both them games in perfect order and used to play them alot when I had my PS2. I swear to god though once I get my PS3 in a few months (Maybe Weeks) I won't get a PS3 game for it, I'll play the classics. Just listened to some of the Music from FF7 with Aeris.....Jesus my heart stopped with nostalgia...

I beg to differ, enhanced graphics, better CGI Cut Scenes, Improved Gameplay but still keeping to the Original FF System would certainly sell me...I really hope they at least Attempt to do something and not give us a little teaser of what FF7 would look like but then shatter our dreams and say it's not happening!

McMad Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 More people care about VII than VIII though so if one of those two is going to get a next gen remake it's always going to be VII. And if you play VII on Playstation these days you'll know looking at the graphics it sure as hell needs one. It would be the perfect way to round off the FFVII Compilation. And even though the gambit system worked well in twelve I'd prefer it if S-E left the gameplay the same as it was in the original.

Square-Enix own everything to do with Final Fantasy and can do anything they want with it. But even if they are thinking about it they won't do the remake for a while as they have IV to do remake and if it's a sucess no doubt they will remake V and VI. Releasing VII at this time will just screw it up as everybody will be more focused on it. In my opinion it will be at least a couple of years before it is even announced.

Calza Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 FFIX was refreshing compared to FFVII and VIII, it went back to the roots with a upbeat main character instead of depressed angst. They all will eventually be remade, this is Square-Enix we are talking about. Hell I'm betting that FFX and XII will also eventually be remade.

Im hoping they do remake X so they can take out the laughing cutscene and the over use of the line "you know?" They will probably throw Sephiroth in every remake as a secret boss, seems they shove him in anything that relates to FF.

If Sephiroth wasn't in number II there wouldn't have been any hard bosses at all!!! That's why I wanna play Final Mix so bad, because there are so many more awesome boss fights in it. And I hope they never remake 10, they should just bury that game with a shovel and forget it ever existed.

Personally I think it's a great game, really good story line that really pulls you in to the game. The character design is awesome and Spira is just fantastic. I seriously don't know why some people just hate FFX.

Hellfire Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 FFX isn't very good for a lot of reasons: the storyline is cheesy as hell (some nice points here and there though), horrible dungeons, Tidus looks like Meg Ryan, bad voices and well, it basically has nothing interesting asides from the Summons and sphere grid. Music is awesome. It's not a bad game, but it's not that good eiter.

As someone said Spira was incredible perhaps the only thing that pulled it back was the lack of the world map, all you did was use the spaceship to fly, I think if they had done what they did in FF7+8 with the world map it would of been more interesting. I thought the storyline was incredible and the CGI was very good, it was a bold move to include voice acting yet it worked....

X was annoying and stupidly linear. XII feels like a final fantasy but for adults, not kids who like anime drama. Anyway, a FF VII coupled with FF XIII exclusivity will make me get a PS3, so Sony should definitely chuck some cash at S-E. Plus S-E love making remakes of their games, it's just they haven't bothered with the 3D era games-which is annoying.

As someone said many a time there seems to be a stigma reguarding FF7, It was one of the best games of all time and there was nothing overated about it, the music, characters, length of game. Everything. FF9 Just didn't do it for me, maybe it was because I was still trying to do FF8 at the time!

It's like a new PC (old styled box) game when you look at it. I won't lie, I do sometimes touch it.

Poncey, girlie, irritating and not in slightest bit pissed off. Thats not Cloud at all. He's meant to have punked up hair (like a Chocobo's ass!) adn have a kind of rebllious look to him, not looking like some japanese cover boy. Do people actually want that?
