Have to say that i prefer the iPod and iTunes than my old Zen Micro Photo i had that died within a year on me *cry cry*. Zunes are good if you like brown. . . Zen Vision M's are really good, they are thicker and heavier than an iPod but not by much.

I hate the fact that i have too much music for my iPod-so i'm kinda hoping they bring out an updated one. . . then i can justify an 80GB+ one.

Argreed, however I want somebody to at least make a substanisal dent in the market so Apple isn't dominating. I was hoping the Zune would do something but the microsoft are going about it isn't helping. It should of been realeased here aswell so it's at leat building up an image.

(for those who buy ipod videos i dare you to say you dont put videos on it), in-built FM radio (no need to buy stupid extras), built in marker (like the song? flag it and next time you sync it will remind you to get it. THat and the wifi is interesting but that is as much as it is. I am personally holding out till zune 2.
KKOB Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 The Zen Vision M has an FM radio also. On my iPod i just rate the tracks i like and they immediately go into a smart playlist which is then synced back to iTunes. I've never understood the whole wifi sharing thing, seems a bit pointless to me.

You ain't kicking Apple out of the marketplace just yet - an iPod is always a good choice. But believe me: Apple will announce more iPhone like iPods this years, with larger screen and possible a touch-interface, although to be honest - the scrollweel is the thing that identifies the iPod. I would hold out on a Zune, actually. Just simply because of the shame you'll have when ten iPod users laugh at you. And the extra features are not that great. The wifi sharing is stupid, to get you an example. Just don't if you don't want to become the laughing stock. And if you do, you'de better like it this much. And if you do: you might be spotted!

Ten10 Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 The zune is a toshiba gigabeat s30/60 in a different housing with added wifi. Not really a new product in my eyes. So I would say GB if you can find it cheap otherwise I'm in the Ipod crowd.

There are other colours.. (more so than black an white? Yes *HINt* And the extra features are not that great. built-in fm? Yes please! (NOTE this is an ipod zune comparision, dont defeat the zune using another player then go on about how good the ipod is. You should be boasting about that said player) I frankly dont care if people laugh, if it suits me fine! Especially ipod owners... (I have 3 ipods and happy with my shuffle) you dont have to be a tattoo nutter to lik something else other than an ipod. What is to say zune 2.0 wont have all the featurs that are being touted for the future ipod? Nothing. *huff*

I'm just aware of the quality when I buy an iPod. Point is: I don't really listen to radio, so that FM really doesn't bother me. And about the 'being laughed at' thing: well, I'm inspired by engadget fancy comments on the 'oh so great zune'. I just love those guys' hilarious ironic remarks and jokes. love the site, love the links. So i'll go with them and favor uPod since I don't have any opinion of myself. At all.

Exactly the point :-D - that's why they advertise these things as Portable Media Devices, making FM just part of Media. Yes, it's all about PR.

Personally I'd rather have that feature if it was a build your own mp3 player than not.
