Well that screenshot is from the NES version, there was a mega drive version which obviously looked a bit better, maybe you were remembering that version? My assumption is that, at 26, I'm a little older than most on the board and therefore have had a slightly longer time to read and play some classic games. When I said "graphics" I meant "atmosphere". Ultima 9 seemed clourful and with abundant light, while the game I posted has a very dark atmosphere.
