Solo Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 I took a wild stab without googling it first, pretty close though.
flameboy Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 well I was thinking of cancelling of preorder as I maybe wasn't going to get this at launch. But I've changed my mind now it comes with a tin at game;
The Bard Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 That tin cover looks like it's from a KFC zinger meal. Or something.
Falcon_BlizZACK Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 new scan image Woah! Is that Anakin Skywalker on the far right wit the light sabre?...Alternative costume perhaps?
Daft Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 Woah! Is that Anakin Skywalker on the far right wit the light sabre?...Alternative costume perhaps? Its Starkiller, the secret apprentice from The Force Unleashed.
Falcon_BlizZACK Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 Its Starkiller, the secret apprentice from The Force Unleashed. Ahh, I see (boner gone).
Daft Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 hang on he's called Starkiller? Jesus fuck... I know. Slow clap for George Lucas everyone. *clap* *clap* *clap* I like his saber style though.
Dan_Dare Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 yeah that's kinda cool. Still...I mean...oh, George...
Solo Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 Well Starkiller is the name Luke was going to have before it was changed to Skywalker.
flameboy Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Well Starkiller is the name Luke was going to have before it was changed to Skywalker. yes indeed that is true. Anyone seen the rumours about Kratos being in the PS3 version? Seem to be doing the rounds.
LazyBoy Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 yes indeed that is true. Anyone seen the rumours about Kratos being in the PS3 version? Seem to be doing the rounds. That would only excite me because it would mean that the 360 would also get an extra character, thus allowing me to dream Ryu (Ninja Gaiden) will be in it.
flameboy Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 That would only excite me because it would mean that the 360 would also get an extra character, thus allowing me to dream Ryu (Ninja Gaiden) will be in it. Would never happen, surely is more likely he would appear in a DOA game seem as both Tecmo/ Team Ninja titles.
Dan_Dare Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Would never happen, surely is more likely he would appear in a DOA game seem as both Tecmo/ Team Ninja titles. he is in DOA. not impossible though- they had the Hyabusa armour in Halo 3, even though it's completely fucking shit
flameboy Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 he is in DOA. not impossible though- they had the Hyabusa armour in Halo 3, even though it's completely fucking shit But then thats different because Ninja Gaiden is primarly a microsoft franchise at the moment so for it to appear on a 1st party franchise. But a competitors game nah can't see it myself... Halo 3 isn't in competition with DOA whereas Soul Calibur is.
Dan_Dare Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 competition implies that DOA will ever touch SC heights, mind. Faintly misleading
flameboy Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 competition implies that DOA will ever touch SC heights, mind. Faintly misleading true true...

Daft Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Custom characters That is all well and good but is there any info on how you can customise their move sets? I don't want 3 really shoddy move sets that I wouldn't touch with a ten foot barge pole.

I think it have to be done using some kind of branching tree/points system to stop player creating uber unbeatable characters.

Dante Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 New screens Online Details: * Online will be handled by the same team that worked on Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection's online component. T5DR was a test round for both Soul Calibur IV and Tekken 6 to help produce a lag-free experience for both titles * Uses a 'Active Matching BattleSystem' (AMB). * AMB works as a kind of 'King of the Hill'. * Gauge at bottom of the screen will tell you who is up to fight * You begin with 199 seconds on the timer. * When an opponent is defeated, they are kicked to the back of the gauge. * Timer keeps ticking down limiting their chance to get another go. * Staying in is going to be tough as you don't replenish health when a new opponent enters. * Will replenish health if you've knocked out enough people (isn't entirely clear as to how many or if it's when you start back at person 1). * You will be begin the next round where you were on the previous (on the edge for instance) which can have the next opponent ring you out.
