Coolness Bears Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 I'm totally hyped for the maths calculator. I'll like publically scream if my calculator runs out of batteries though. I would as well, so i'm being well prepared and taking 3 caculators. If all of those ran out then i'd scream even louder!!! and fail the exam as the calculator is the key to all my mathematical knowledge and without it i'd be powerless.
StarGuitar Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 I'm pretty sure the invigilators have extra calculators, non?
chairdriver Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 I'm pretty sure the invigilators have extra calculators, non? I'll publically slap their faces if they don't.
Paj! Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 Yeah, they gave craps coloured pencils in the DT exam. I'd prefer if they didn't reward the lazy.
Coolness Bears Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 I'm pretty sure the invigilators have extra calculators, non? Not always, if you go to a large school they don't provide calculators. It is not there job to. Luckily i go to a smaller school so they be more willing but they aren't forced to give you one.
Coolness Bears Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 Yay exams are over! Now I can play videogames again! Lucky, but in 4 days time i'll be able to do the same. I felt my calculator Maths exam went really well today. I felt i knew a lot more questions than usual and had my trusty calculator to get me through it.
MoogleViper Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 Firebell went off during my geography exam. We had to get out but we couldnt talk. I had done it all apart from the last question, which was a long one (14 marks out of 60). You had to write a letter to the Vietnamese government about developing Hanoi. I just couldn't get into the right mind afterwards.
Ellmeister Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 Can't wait for next weeks maths exam then its over! Then can't wait for results.. I probably have done great, but I'm already psyched!!!
Paj! Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 I hate the idea of getting my marks.. I think I screwed up English, and Dt and Art I wasn't pleased with. (The 3 I care about) I've finished Maths forever now! *cries/ doesn't*
MoogleViper Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 3 science on wednesday. Then Stats on 21st and then Graphics on 22nd. Then a celebatory wank for me.
Goron_3 Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 3 science on wednesday. Then Stats on 21st and then Graphics on 22nd. Then a celebatory wank for me. Celebratory wanks are the best, especially if it's been building up for a while.
StarGuitar Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 Finished my English Lit test today. Had to do Robert Frost and a Streetcar Named Desire. I'm so glad it's over. Just King Lear next week...
My Buttons are Magic! Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 SOOOOOOOOO not ready for my exam im not gonna get into uni
chairdriver Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 I'm publically screaming at the thought of Chemistry. It used to be one of my best subjects until I had a shite teacher for 2 years.
Razz Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 ach! chemistry in an hour and a half...Good Luck everyone!!
Supergrunch Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 I hate having weeks of study leave where I have nothing to do but revise...
Bluejay Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Anyone that has History Medicine Through Time, it is a source test right? How do you revise for a source test?
Emasher Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 I'm halfway through i've done mathematics and language arts now all i have to do is science and social studies
Coolness Bears Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Anyone that has History Medicine Through Time, it is a source test right? How do you revise for a source test? Mine is but it's a different exam. You need to revise all the content still because although it is source based they still ask you to use your own knowledge and if you don't know you are screwed. Also you have to learn the techniques of tackling a source based question.

I have two knowledge based ones and a source based one. I'm pretty sure (based on the mock) that the source based one is pure sourcework and no knowledge questions as in the mock, we did the Medicine source test without doing the subject yet so I guess this would be the same. No harm in re-reading my notes, revision guide though., As for the techniques, making inferences, declaring the reputibility and reliability of sources, etc, right? Or not?

Or not? i have two, i had one last Friday which was purely knowledge based and another tommorrow which is source based but having to apply your own knowledge as well. You have to now what the source is trying to get at and who is saying it to see what views on the subject they would have and whether it is biased or not and as you said see whether it is reliable. Do you also have sources with a cartoon picture?
chairdriver Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 I'm screaming at the thought of History and Ad Maths tommorrow. Like scream if I ever see an integration question where you have to find the area between two curves, I was shit at that in class.

It was showing the percieved ill effects of vaccination. :awesome:
