I was surprised as much as anybody on the announcement of Mario and Sonic Olympics, but it got me thinking of something else.

Now that Camelot seem to be distancing themselves from Nintendo, where does the future of the Mario sports titles lie? If this Olympics game turns out to be great, would it be wise for Nintendo to let Sega handle the sports titles, as they have a proven track record with their own titles(Incidently, such record was the reason Dreamcast recieved no support sports-wise from EA).

And if the Olympics game does go well, and Sega are given the permission to develop the titles, will Sonic be in them too?

yeah I guess there is a chance of it happening certainly, means we could also see other sports titles though, rather than just Mario ones, didn't they have their own sports brand on the Dreamcast?

EA got burned by the Saturn, and therefore developed NO games on the Dreamcast. Had nothing to do with Segas titles. Because they're on every console around.

Yes, although I don't think they have anything to do with Sega anymore.

Hmmmm this might be good. Use the Nintendo themes and characters, and make it a bit more 'serious', i.e no silly power moves every 20seconds in a Tennis match.

If they can make Mario Tennis more like MT64 though I'd love it. That game was pure class.

Agree with you there Daft. Here, imagine this:

A new DS version of Golden Sun (Set after the first 2), that uses the GBA slot to transfer character data from the Lost age to the DS version.

Then, a couple of months after this one's release, a wii instalment is also released, and links to the DS one to transfer(one example) more improved character stats to it.

I'd buy both in a heartbeat!:o
