Slaggis Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 I gave Tiga's album Ciao! a listen through and it made me laugh quite a few times. Particularly liked Shoes, Sex O'clock and Luxury. Simian Mobile Disco's[/b] track I Believe is fantastic and has been played a fair few times today, after being discovered during revision procrastination. Also loving David Guetta's When Love Takes Over (Feat. Kelly Rowland). Completely agree on these three. I'm loving some of the remix's to When Love Takes Over, especially the one you linked on Youtube. Such a danceable track. If I don't hear it masses of times in Ibiza, I'll scream, it seems perfect for a club. Really had no idea how good Kelly Rowland was live until I saw this. She needs an album of still like Work and Loves Takes Over, now.
chairdriver Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 A mixtape playlist I'm making for my friend: Uninvited - Alanis Morissette All Is Full Of Love - Bjork You Don't Have To Be Afraid - Kaki King So Sorry - Feist The Sky Lit Up - PJ Harvey Tristan - Patrick Wolf Marrow - St. Vincent I'm An Animal - Neko Case Floorplan - Tegan and Sara Cosmia - Joanna Newsom 48 minutes of sexy stuff.
Dan_Dare Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 I...holy shit I'm actually seeing Neil Young, Fleet Foxes and Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band. I'm so drunk I can barely type. I did it though. I have tickets. Actually going to be the best weekend ever.

GothicPlague Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 From that list I only went to see Pendulum and they were great.

Dyson Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 FNM were brilliant from what I saw of them on the live stream. I just heard Shiver by Coldplay and I love it. I'm sure I'm about to get flak for it but it's a fantastic track.

Paj! Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Ys. I cannot now live without you. And in a moment of almost-unbearable vision doubled over with the hunger of lions "hold me close," cooed the dove who was stuffed now with sawdust and diamonds.
CoolFunkMan Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 How was Faith No More? Didn't catch much of them, but they seemed decent! I cannot wait for Muse new album "Muse are pleased to announce that their fifth studio album, The Resistance, is scheduled for release on 14th September 2009. More Information and tracklisting to follow so stay tuned..." http://www.muse.mu OH MY GOD YEEEESSSSSSSSSS!!!
S.C.G Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 "Muse fifth studio album The Resistance 14th September 2009 Awesome! that's like... less than three months away.
Paj! Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Ugh. Just...so...epic and brilliant in my ears. This theme recurs throught the film, but that in particular bit sums it up so well. It's just amazing. Love the music in this film. It's followed by Supermarket Sweep on the soundtrack, which is beaty electro shiz.
ReZourceman Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 For ReZ and anyone who might enjoy Lego based music videos :p Oh.....I can't watch it at work. Phailzaphilliney.
Gizmo Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Didn't catch much of them, but they seemed decent! Glad it's out in plenty time before I go to see them, it's definately better knowing the songs. Can't wait, probably the most hyped I've ever been for a new music release.
Dan_Dare Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 I can't get excited about Muse. Used to love them but I've moved on I think. Pastures new etc.
Paj! Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 I gave them a listen, songs people recommended on here, and while it was good/fine/enjoyable, it didn't exactly pique my interests. Dunno. Not listened to an album in full, just a mixtape. Nothing against them at all, but just never been interested. I'm more excited about Joanna Newsom tentative new album release in september.
chairdriver Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 I'm more excited about Joanna Newsom tentative new album release in september. YeS. She's the one who duetted with Jimmy Page right? I would post Only Skin, but it's in 3 parts.
Paj! Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 She's the one who duetted with Jimmy Page right? No idea. It's not on Spotify, but seek out YS by her. It's amazing. Even if you end up not liking it, all must concede it's great.
Dyson Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 RE: Joanna Newsom - Disagree. Irritating voice. Can't stand her music. Nowhere near great. We've been here before.
Paj! Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 RE: Joanna Newsom - Disagree. Irritating voice. Can't stand her music. Nowhere near great. We've been here before. Does your not liking something make it bad? No.
ReZourceman Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 That LEGO video is awesome. *Reads on* *Remembers why he doesn't come in this thread, and casually leaves, discarding an empty can midst the winde*
S.C.G Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Does your not liking something make it bad? No. Does your liking it make it good? No. It's all subjective, people like what they like and dislike what they don't, personally I don't believe I have listened to the aforementioned artist so Idk if I like her or not but it sounds like Dyson has at least listened to something by her and did not like what he heard, which is fair enough I think?
