I gave Tiga's album Ciao! a listen through and it made me laugh quite a few times. Particularly liked Shoes, Sex O'clock and Luxury.

Simian Mobile Disco's[/b] track I Believe is fantastic and has been played a fair few times today, after being discovered during revision procrastination.

Also loving David Guetta's When Love Takes Over (Feat. Kelly Rowland).

Completely agree on these three. I'm loving some of the remix's to When Love Takes Over, especially the one you linked on Youtube. Such a danceable track. If I don't hear it masses of times in Ibiza, I'll scream, it seems perfect for a club.

Really had no idea how good Kelly Rowland was live until I saw this. She needs an album of still like Work and Loves Takes Over, now.

I...holy shit I'm actually seeing Neil Young, Fleet Foxes and Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band.

I'm so drunk I can barely type. I did it though. I have tickets.

Actually going to be the best weekend ever.

I got back from Download Festival yesterday, and all I can say is wow! Seriously, the (majortiy of) bands were incredible! Many people even said that it's the best Download ever. Here's who I saw:

Friday

Killswitch Engage

Limp Bizkit

Lacuna Coil

Korn

Meshuggah

Faith No More (end of the set)

Saturday

Tim "Ripper" Owens

Five Finger Death Punch

DevilDriver

Hatebreed

Down (1 song)

Static-X

The Answer

Pendulum

Marilyn Manson

Slipknot

Sunday

Suicide Silence

Black Stone Cherry

Journey

Dream Theater

ZZ Top

Whitesnake

Def Leppard

Bands of the weekend for me were deffinitely Slipknot and Def Leppard. Joint 1st! I'll be blogging the event in a bit, hopefully.

How was Faith No More?

FNM were brilliant from what I saw of them on the live stream.

I just heard Shiver by Coldplay and I love it. I'm sure I'm about to get flak for it but it's a fantastic track.

Parachutes as a whole is a pretty ok album, actually. Don't Panic is my personal highlight. But it's all quite satisfactory.

Ys.

I cannot now live without you.

And in a moment of almost-unbearable vision

doubled over with the hunger of lions

"hold me close," cooed the dove

who was stuffed now with sawdust and diamonds.

Didn't catch much of them, but they seemed decent!

"Muse are pleased to announce that their fifth studio album, The Resistance, is scheduled for release on 14th September 2009. More Information and tracklisting to follow so stay tuned..."

Awesome! that's like... less than three months away. :)

Ugh. Just...so...epic and brilliant in my ears.

This theme recurs throught the film, but that in particular bit sums it up so well. It's just amazing. Love the music in this film. It's followed by Supermarket Sweep on the soundtrack, which is beaty electro shiz.

Awesome! Glad it's out in plenty time before I go to see them, it's definately better knowing the songs. Can't wait, probably the most hyped I've ever been for a new music release.

I gave them a listen, songs people recommended on here, and while it was good/fine/enjoyable, it didn't exactly pique my interests.

Dunno. Not listened to an album in full, just a mixtape. Nothing against them at all, but just never been interested.

I'm more excited about Joanna Newsom tentative new album release in september.

YeS.

She's the one who duetted with Jimmy Page right?

I would post Only Skin, but it's in 3 parts.

No idea.

It's not on Spotify, but seek out YS by her. It's amazing. Even if you end up not liking it, all must concede it's great.

RE: Joanna Newsom - Disagree. Irritating voice. Can't stand her music. Nowhere near great.

We've been here before.

Does your not liking something make it bad?

No.

No.

No.

It's all subjective, people like what they like and dislike what they don't, personally I don't believe I have listened to the aforementioned artist so Idk if I like her or not but it sounds like Dyson has at least listened to something by her and did not like what he heard, which is fair enough I think?
