Oxigen_Waste Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 Saw the video. Was interested, looked promising. Just now realized Number 24 is perhaps the second best song I've heard all year. Instant fan. Thank you, chair.

chairdriver Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 I love NYPC, just because they seem to have fun with their lives. Saw the video. Was interested, looked promising. Just now realized Number 24 is perhaps the second best song I've heard all year. Instant fan. Thank you, chair. Apparently she's written over 300 songs. I can't wait for the album.
Slaggis Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 I'm loving "Now Or Never" (The lead single from High School Musical 3). I think the reason why I like the soundtracks to 2 and 3 is because when I listen to it...it just makes me all happy. I know that probably sounds odd, but I couldn't give a toss. It's good, addictive fun. Plus, Efron is hot. :p *Awaits the pointless flaming*
Fierce_LiNk Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 Just had a bit of a depressing chat with my housemate, and have been in a pretty sad mood for the last hour or so. I'm listening to Jeff Buckley's Hallelujah. First song that came to my head. Now, I'm going to play Doves - there goes the fear.
Paj! Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 *Awaits the pointless flaming* I might have said this before, but I remember being strangely entranced by the HSM float in one of the parades in DisneyWorld last christmas, the song "What Time Is It?" I think. And I confess to listening to listening to Zac Efron's songs from Hairspray. Apart from that, it's awful.

The whole soundtrack just makes me feel like a hyper 10 year old on crack.
triforce_keeper Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 The Pussycat Dolls new album is great ^_^ A few weak tracks on it, but that's forgiven as it has 18 tracks on it overall ^_^ Some great dance beats, just wish there were more jazz songs on it, I love their version of "Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps" Also, I picked up Jennifer Hudson's new album, still listening to it a few times, got some strong tracks on, her voice is truly magnificent.
Dan_Dare Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Digging Tom Waits atm. This one being a particular favourite. It's rather brilliant.

Don't take this the wrong way, but... you suck. Digging Tom Waits atm. This one being a particular favourite. It's rather brilliant. My second favourite musical artist. Second only to the great Masami Akita.
Wesley Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Ah, I almost forgot why I don't check in here for a reason. With Love.
Paj! Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Don't take this the wrong way, but... you suck. lol I love you. ----- Been listening to the new Britney song, to see what her "comeback" was about (how many comebacks does she need...?), and it's probably one of the worst, laziest songs ever. It's a catchy enough shitty pop song, but really, there's cheesy, then there's laughably bad. ----- Just because they're an amazing experience to see live; Actually a great show to go see, interactive and sense disorientating.
triforce_keeper Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Don't take this the wrong way, but... you suck. As long as I enjoy the music, I don't give a flying fuck what you think
Fierce_LiNk Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 The good guys dress in black Remember that! Just in case we ever face to face and make contact! The title held by me, MIB! Means what you think you saw you did not See! So dont blink be what was there is now gone The black suits with the black ray bans on! Walk in shadow move in silence Guard against extra-terrestrial-violence! Oh hells yeah. Bring back the Nineties.
ipaul Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 As long as I enjoy the music, I don't give a flying fuck what you think Needless swearing in the post shows some agitation and suggests otherwise. Keep it cool man =P Been listening to a lot of Chemical Brothers recently, been playing their 'Push The Button' album, puts me in such a good mood! Can anyone say which album of theirs I should get next?
Paj! Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 The things you can't remember, tell the things you can't forget.

Keep it cool man =P Been listening to a lot of Chemical Brothers recently, been playing their 'Push The Button' album, puts me in such a good mood! Can anyone say which album of theirs I should get next? bar the obvious answer of 'the rest', I'd say you can't go wrong with Dig Your Own Hole. It's one of the older ones, but goddamn it's good. Every single track is a stone cold classic.
Rowan Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 Yeah Dig Your Own Hole is really good Every single one of them albums have some really great tracks Songs that spring to mind are Hey Boy Hey Girl, Get Yourself High, The Golden Path and the B-Side Base 6. Their compilation discs "Singles 93-03" is very good, in my opinion better than their latest compilation Brotherhood (considering Brotherhood has more of their recent songs)
Dan_Dare Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 but Brotherhood also has that 2nd cd of experimental club mixes and prototypes which hasn't been released before. Need. Massively. I actually have most of their discography anyway, so any singles compilation is lost on me.
Slaggis Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 Alicia Keys and Jack White - Another Way To Die
Paj! Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 Alicia Keys and Jack White - Another Way To Die Although I don't hate it because it's not a copy of the old bond sound (which it seems many do), it's just an empty song. It has no punch. I like the sound of it, but the lyrics don't work...not punch at all voice-wise either, strange considering the 2 singers on it.

ipaul Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Just thought I would ask if anyone has heard Lemon Jelly before and if they like them or not? Browsing some of their stuff on iTunes and it looks like it may be worth a purchase.
