Posted July 5, 2010 Lol! I love 'WHAT?!". That was awful though. 90's, but made of pure class, and greatness. I used to love that song, and I still do. Damn you, Internet. You have found my weakness. The All Saints.
Posted July 5, 2010 They're great. --- I listened to Bjork and Dirty Projectors collab EP, Mount Wittenberg Orca or whatever. It was alright, but defines non-essential. I'll give it more time. Not enough Bjork, too much generic Dirty Projectors harmonising. --- I liked that song Dan. My friend mentioned Delorean before.
Posted July 5, 2010 To bring them up yet again, Autechre released a new EP (LP?!) recently - the physical version is yet to arrive actually. I actually really like it, which is surprising considering how indifferent I am to most things released since LP5 by them.
Posted July 5, 2010 Speaking of Back to the Future (kind of...) random trivia: In 'Back to the Future' Doc Scott sets the time clock in the Delorean to a day 25 years in the future, today is that day.
Posted July 7, 2010 (edited) That isn't true. That brought a tear to my eye. I think this is secretly my favorite Daft Punk song. Even more than 'Make Love'. Edited July 7, 2010 by Daft

Posted July 7, 2010 (edited) That isn't true. That brought a tear to my eye. I think this is secretly my favorite Daft Punk song. Even more than 'Make Love'. Lies. Marti Noxon lied to me? That wench! In almost music related news, this is special (if a little difficult to hear at times): I have a mancrush on Dost. He's awesome but doesn't believe it. I love how he describes Jack's hair as Ed Grimley meets La Roux. Edited July 7, 2010 by Ashley
Posted July 7, 2010 That isn't true. That brought a tear to my eye. I think this is secretly my favorite Daft Punk song. Even more than 'Make Love'. You'll be happy to know I finally got around to listening (and enjoying) the album the whole way through. Short Circuit plus Veridis Quo are probably my favourites. Posted July 7, 2010 Veridis Quo always reminds me of porn. And I'm not going to explain that one. Good song though. I need to listen to Daft Punk again. Not really listened for ages. Will add that to tomorrow's to do list.
Posted July 7, 2010 Oh and I figured out my favourite song as well, finally. I also figured out it isn't even close Except I mean the album version.
Posted July 8, 2010 You'll be happy to know I finally got around to listening (and enjoying) the album the whole way through. Short Circuit plus Veridis Quo are probably my favourites. I'm slightly shocked you didn't mention 'Something About Us'.
Posted July 8, 2010 I could easily fall asleep to 'Something About Us' (in a good way, it's an awesome song). What are people's opinions on Janelle Monae? I just watched her performance of 'Tightrope' on The David Letterman Show which was very impressing. Her album any good?
Posted July 9, 2010 I could definitely dream off to 'Make Love'. A delicate song. On a completely diferent note, I love Skunk Anansie.
Posted July 9, 2010 Really?! I'm so ready. I'm getting the Daily Record or whichever paper it's in tomorrow.
Posted July 9, 2010 I like the art style, I'll give it that. (although I wish Prince would stop thinking he's attractive )
Posted July 9, 2010 I could definitely dream off to 'Make Love'. A delicate song. On a completely diferent note, I love Skunk Anansie. Ahhh I love this song! I'm so gutted I couldn't see them last week at Werchter! They're coming over here in February, but not sure I'll have anyone to go with me and tickets are already on saaaale. =( *story of my life it seems*
Posted July 10, 2010 I'm completely in love with Kylie's new album 'Aphrodite' (It's on Spotify now ). I expected basically nothing considering 'X' became such a total let down, one she even admitted to on several occasions. 'Get Outta My Way', 'Aphrodite', 'Cupid Boy' and 'All The Lovers' are standouts for me. But it's great to see her back making decent pop music. -- Cannot get Fire with Fire by the Scissor Sisters out my head. How I didn't catch onto it before is beyond me. So excited to give the rest of the album a proper listen.

Don't bother, it's nothing on Ta-Dah or indeed their debut album (which was brilliant).
Posted July 10, 2010 I love this song. So much. It takes so long to get going, but when it does, it rouses such a "Come on everyone, let's fuck this fucker up!" feeling that it's worth the wait. And most essential use of the word "shitty" ever. I'm endlessly, endlessly searching the crowd Looking for something from you Just one fucking measly clue Any shitty little tip-off would do But I'm just an ant in Alaska to you
Posted July 10, 2010 Mhm part of me wants to check out the new SS but as fun as the discoey dancey songs are I like that Ta-Dah and SS are fairly mixed bags in terms of content but as far as I can tell Night Work is more discoey in nature.
Posted July 10, 2010 It's got good reviews. I might buy it/listen to it. I never listen to Ta-Dah, tried the other day and the sound just annoys me. But the first album was briliant.
Posted July 10, 2010 So I finally got this Spotify/Facebook social music thing up and running. How do I add some of you cool cats?
