Ramar Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 As the old saying goes. Can't spell ignorant without ign. Those lists, in my opinion are quite off.
Oxigen_Waste Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 There is no Disgaea on the PS2 list. NO DISGAEA? Disgaea is the best game on the PS2, the BEST! I haven't played disgaea yet, because I can't play import games yet, but I'm sure it can't be better than Shadow Of The Colossus.
Roostophe Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 God Of War? Number one? But it's naff. And where's Guitar Hero 2 in that list? It's better than Guitar Hero 1 for two reasons.
Mr. Bananagrabber Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 God Of War? Number one? But it's naff. Wimp 10101010
Roostophe Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Wimp 10101010 Resident Evil games are great fun, and about as scary as my left hand. Your move, Coxy!
Sarka Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 I haven't played disgaea yet, because I can't play import games yet, but I'm sure it can't be better than Shadow Of The Colossus. You'd be surprised. Disgaea is the most addictive, funniest, character developing, superb gameplay---ing game I've ever played! Just check some of the reviews at GameFAQs, many people absolutely adore Disgaea.

Even so, I would love to play it. It may be the only reason for getting a swap disc.

It may be the only reason for getting a swap disc. I've never played SotC, shameful I know. But I had ICO and thought it was awful - so I decided to invest the money in other stuff. And yeah, pick up Disgaea - it's been the only game this gen to have me staying up late, and playing it in every single last moment of my life. I didn't go online for a week!

ICO is a good game, but SOTC is perfect. You pick that up and I'll buy a swap disc and Disgaea.
Cube Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 20. Zelda: Minish Cap Pardon? That and 18) Metroid Fusion should be number one and two. And Konami Krazy Racers >> MK: SC
gmac Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 the GBA list at least has all the right games, they're just in the wrong order Golden Sun should be so much higher :p
The Bard Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 the GBA list at least has all the right games, they're just in the wrong order Golden Sun should be so much higher :p 24? Fuckin 24? It should have been No. 2. Absolute fucking jackass that Craig Harris is.
gmac Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 I know it's an absolute joke it's that low out of the 25, and some crappy card game is higher??
The Bard Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 I know it's an absolute joke it's that low out of the 25, and some crappy card game is higher?? Warioware is higher funnily enough. Bastards. Golden Sun is one of the best games ever created, I'd have it in my top ten of all time. It's utterly disgraceful, but then what would you expect when you only have one editor for the whole GBA channel?
Goron_3 Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Tbh wario ware should be first. I mean, you look at what that game did and it's just crazy. It's fun, innovative, the best wario ware (tbh, the GC one is the only good one other than the GBA ones) and its a perfect handheld game.
Kurtle Squad Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Of course that load of bullshit could only come from someone who has yet to actually play a Capcom fighter like 3rd Strike, and thus has an incredibly naive and uninformed opinion. You're probably one of those people who can't pull off a shoryuken without complaining about your thumb chafing...let alone managing to pull off cancels and combos. RE 0 and Remake don't even come remotely close to the mastery that is RE4, still, you seem to have a predominant liking of games without much substance. As for Crash Team racing, I played it, loved it, but it's nowhere close to being one of the best games of all time. tbh...I only said how I said it in a retaliation, nope, I can't pull off a shoryuken, but I've barely tried. I do like SF and such (I own a shoryuken t-shirt) No, I can't do cancels & combos because I don't spend every waking hour playing SF and Smash Bros;) Mastery of Resi4??...The puzzles are something from the Zelda Early Leaning Centre, and the rest of it's too much run and gun, and the story lacks more than Zelda TP. The original Resi's have WAY more substance than 4's constant shooting. Also, Kurtle, you talk about the Library style levels, remember something from Halo 1 called the Library? Yeah. .....Are you ZeldaFreak in disguise?!?! God Of War? Number one? But it's naff. And where's Guitar Hero 2 in that list? It's better than Guitar Hero 1 for two reasons. I have to agree about GoW...Uh Oh...We have an abreviation clash on our hands!!!!....I've played it and got a while past the 1st boss, I though it was okay, but not the best PS2 game from what I played. (Though Zelda could be argued to be the worst Zelda, not inc CDis, LoZ & AoL until you get to Death Mountain)
mcj metroid Posted March 20, 2007 Author Posted March 20, 2007 Resi 4's amazingly over rated, it's too much run n gun, Resi 0 & Remake are WAY better. But then, I wouldn't expect someone who couldn't bare living without the average Capcom fighters to understand that. I'm sorry that you seem to find it wrong that I enjoy an amazingly fun, balanced game that you've most likely not even played. what is the nicest way to say you are so wrong it's funny. Capcom's 'fighters' are so much more fun than crap like tekken is isn't funny. Street fighter 2: turbo is my opinion is the best fighter ever but 3rd strike is very close(i'm just so used to the chraracters in 2:)) resident evil 4 is one of the best games ever. It gives people a piece of everything. An exciting story that keeps you playing to fins out what will happen, Violence and gunning. Excellent graphics and it does reqiure a bit of thought and it's a lengthy adventure and a blast to play. It isn't over-rated If i had to pick one game there it's final fantasy x...ha just never took to it
Cube Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 An exciting story that keeps you playing to fins out what will happen I think someday I should bother to carry on with the game. I'm somewhere in the castle at the moment.
DanielTimothy Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 I think someday I should bother to carry on with the game. I'm somewhere in the castle at the moment. Don't give up on it, I swear you'll thank me.
Mr. Bananagrabber Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 Resi 4 has a fantastic atmosphere. But just like Killer 7, there really isn't much game in there at all. Once you've gone through the village, you've pretty much seen it all. It's the atmosphere and tension that keeps you going. Great experience, sub-par game.
The Bard Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 Not true at all, especially when playing on Pro, you actually have to think like a motherfucker, or else you'll die countless times. The enemies vary so much, the regenerators, chainsaw dudes, crazy blind fuckers, bosses, they all require a different strategy. On normal you can just get by shooting everything you see I suppose, but there is a lot of strategy and thinking involved, if you want to get good at the game.
