Never have particularly liked EA, but depending on how SSX and C&C3 (particularly the latter) turn out, my opinion may change. I don't like the quarterly sports games, though.

P o s t i n S h o r t:

EA is about money and action, and not like indie developers who care about the story or gameplay they tell. EA is hollywood, au contraire to Europe who makes original films. Now translate in game-terms, will ya?

EA is actually a great developer, they've always managed to get a lot of power out of every system when they actually bothered, and when left to their own devices they make awesome games. The problem is the decision makers are all tossers that tell them to ruin franchises, churn out FIFA and shut down game servers once a sequel comes out.

No problem with pumping out graphics for a system - we all know EA leads the way to better graphics and will be the first developer to fully utilize a system. But, in terms of gameplay, they're always a little lacking. You can see EA as a big company in Hollywood pumping out movies with loads of action but with no depth. And they also make sequels. Some people like this, but the refined film-watcher will want to go see movies made by smaller, independant companies. EA cares about the money a movie makes, small companies care about the story they tell. There's the major difference and the thing Nintendo tried to point out: in the end, it's the story we want a film for, not?

Can someone actually name me some EA games for the Wii which have been released already? I can't seem to find any as of yet. I also want to see if they bring their yearly sports games to the Wii, and how they go about it with the online, given their wants for dedicated servers on xbox live and ps2, which they can turn off to force people to update? Until then, I'm gonna stay a bit skeptical.

I don't really like EA games and as previously mentioned, same thing just about every year.

.

i dont agree with that argument when you have games like mario party being updated every year(and getting worse)

nobody is forcing you to buy them every year but they do improve.

So because nintendo have done it with one series, it's okay, despite the fact that no ones likes it still.

The games don't improve every year. They get duller graphics, more stats and more complicated features that you never use.

Nope, I do not want to give EA games any credit for nothing.

They raped the Battlefield series with Secret Weapons of WWII and up.

They raped The Sims with House Party and up.

They (imo.) blew it on SSX On Tour.

I didn't like NFS Carbon at all either.

And if you watch closely, they'll probably hype SSX Blur and it will end up crappy too, they've done such a great job in messing up games for the last 5 years, so I won't expect anything else until proven otherwise.

So just two games have actually been released? They deserve credit because they have released just two games which I haven't really heard anything about and because they have some more on the way which *could* be shaping up well, but might just have been painted in a good light?

As for a good review, I wouldn't put it past EA paying a magazine to paint a game of theirs in a favourable light, unless I'm mistaken they pay(or did) Game to have like a little EA stand in their stores.

No, no special treatment or appreciation for EA from me, not yet anyway.

I can understand why you're feeling that way. But, just check out some info on Madden. Videos, previews, reviews, anything. I'm not an American football fan, but I'm tempted to get this.
