Zechs Merquise Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 I want a 360, just because I like tactical shooters, and FPS games in ganeral, I think the Wii is great (although I haven't picked one up yet). But neither have a killer app that I just must have. I got Zelda on the Gamecube and there is still a great many Cube games I haven't got yet which I want. If I did buy a 360 now the only two games I'd want is Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six Vegas.

When I think of it, and what it has to offer, it does sound pretty appealing. But, in my opinion, there just isn't that stand out title that appeals to me. There's no title that I really think "wow, I MUST get that console just for that game", etc. As far as money goes, I'm going to have trouble getting all I can from the Wii and DS. Am I really going to have enough to purchase a decent amount of games from a second system? At this moment in time, no.

They deliberately don't release perfect products to give them an excuse to produce another and get us to buy it again. If I were to get one system other than Wii, despite me saying i'd never get one ever under my username, i'd probably get Xbox360, certainly not PS3. If anyone gets me a PS3 in the near future, i'll ebay it.

The fact is, the ONLY reason why people buy Nintendo consoles are for Nintendo games. Yeh not enough plugs lawl Precisely. Priority comes first.

Not to mention, they spin pretty much everything. I respect the PlayStation brand, but i'd never support the Sony corporation.

And i am in no way gonna tell you otherwise. its your money, you do what you want with it. You are bit like ukresistance. Frankly i dont like the Sony brand either, but there are quite a few games that interest me enough for a purchase, that saying, two of them are very likely to end up on the 360, like soon after. Guess them.

Flaight Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 Talking of which, if I were to be absolutely honest, even PSP did blow my mind when I first saw it. The screen size and resolution seemed ridiculously good. Anyway as far as 360 goes I reckon there are some out there like me for whom Blue Dragon export can't come soon enough. In fact only a couple of weeks ago I fought off the urge to import Japan version of 360 + Blue Dragon package... Amazingly it works out to be cheaper than buying UK 360 + a full price game.

Insanley fun. 360 a year after: OMG! This is teh shit [amazing]. 360 became my all time favorite console. The games, the game lineup, the interface, Xbox live and HD. really glad i bought it. I think it will be the "winner" of the console war. Wii now: Stil great fun. I have even unpluged my 360 and let the Wii use the component connection [getting an AV switch soon]. But I have a feeling that the Wii won't take me where 360 tok me. And I'm not sure if the game line up is as strong as i would want. And I'd rather play most games on 360 than on Wii. COD3, Marvel ultimate alliance and need for speed for example. Wii is a great console. But we will wait and see how the games that come take advantage of its potential. A lot wii games out now are just cube games with wii controls forced on. But my honest opinion is that ever gamer should buy both.

I wish i had a 360 too, i mean the wii is a fucking awesome console, but i would like some graphicaly awesome, and great online play. As soon as i can ill be entering every contest i can find to win a PS3, it'd taking me effing ages to save up 450 quid.

guarana Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 i just bought a 360 , 2 days ago with gears of war... beat it fast (6 hours )... grafixs were amazing !! the first time around ...then 2nd time it seemed more like a game then live attack..but still DAMN!!1one i always wondered what it would be like after playing a 360 shooter like gears of war .... how wii shooters would compare after that, like redsteel .... even after the amazing grafixs ...going back to redsteel ..it stilll looks nice enough and the explosions kick ass.. in some ways redsteel is better and funner then gears of war , like controls ...(but the sword fights are SHIT, and should be either 1:1 or just removed completely). gow is a great / Short game that looks amazing ... but in the end it only left me wanting more mainly cus after playing a wii shooter you kind of look down on classic fps aiming... basically if GOW was available on 360 (which it is ;in all its beauty) and on the wii (in all its functionality, but not looking half as good ) then i would go with the wii version in a second, without thinking twice ... just like i rather own COD3 for wii rather then on 360 ... i know which one looks better , thats no mystery , controls and interactivity are now more important ... i cant stop trying to compare GOW to RE4 , its WAY better looking..... but its also NOT... RE4 is still amazing to look at..double cubes abilitys is just fine ... after beating GOW and finally experienced what 360 was all about , im thinking more about how great my wii is and metroid prime 3 (i almost soil myself every time i think about this game) p.s. i bought 360 mainly and mostly for 1.BIOSHOCK ...that game is what single handedly made me buy 360 and its not even out yet.... what a amazing looking game.......and 2.to treat my grafix-whore-ism-ness.. i have no interest in xbox live ... rather play multiplayer with normal real humans beside me in the same room....

And Red steel hasn't convinced me that Wii is the way for FPS. But then again this is my opinion. I'm really looking forward for the new RE game on Wii. But I still think RE5 has a better potential.
