chillychili Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 If you click the dot under that Pauline thing in Shop Channel before you "start shopping", you will find a secret... p.s. I'm writing this with my Wii.
Tellyn Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 It's not a mega secret, but it's the only way to get to the main menu again (where all the news is). Only just found it? :p
Platty Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Yeah nice little find. But what I want to know is who the hell is Pauline ?
Tellyn Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Pauline was the original damsel in distress from Donkey Kong, the arcade and NES game. She was Mario, or Jumpman's first girlfriend from Brooklyn. She's making a reappearance in Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis, in which she will be kidnapped once again by Donkey Kong.
Shorty Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Hah, yeah found that on the first day. Not really a secret though is it? I thought it was funny when they said even the people at Nintendo didn't know about it
Fierce_LiNk Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Yeah nice little find. But what I want to know is who the hell is Pauline ? Didn't she recently die in Eastenders? Anyway, I will be trying this out. Any minute now...
Emasher Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 so it just takes you back to the main menue i dont remember seeing pauline on the "start shopping" screen
Tellyn Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 so it just takes you back to the main menue i dont remember seeing pauline on the "start shopping" screen It's a headline, European difference probably.
fanman Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 It says that some nintendo workers don't even know about it. They must be talking about the cleaners.
Tellyn Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 It says that some nintendo workers don't even know about it. They must be talking about the cleaners. No, it's Shigsy-san. "What secret message? TAKE IT DOWN NOW! We must perfect it for several weeks before a release to the general public!" God bless that man. He's like a younger, Asian Santa Claus.
Nintendork Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 You're fucking good at keeping secrets aren't ya dickhead.
welsh_gamer Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Does anyone remember, just after the Wii was launched in America, there was a list of 20 or 30 odd things you could do with the Wii that were regarded secrets. I.e do things to some channels, Mii stuff and throwing a bowling ball into somebody else's lane in bowling. Link anyone?
Jasper Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 You can actually throw your ball in a lane next to you. Just turn and twist right and it will work out fine. Stand on the side of your lane and rotate to the pther lane. Then throw thye ball high (not roll). It works! I checked out the secret and, well, I thought it was kind of stupid. They've bein working hard, but it's still incredibly slow - and it's not even that hard to make... Ah well. I'm not buying VC anyway.
chhang7 Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 I remember reading it but it was never that many secrets
demonmike04 Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 You're fucking good at keeping secrets aren't ya dickhead. Lmfao, I was just gonna post that now. I agree, ChillyChili should be banned for not keeping that secret.

There are other things you can do too, such as holding the directional buttons on the warning screen to get different coloured balls in bowling, and holding 2 on the warning screen to get the training court in tennis.
chillychili Posted January 1, 2007 Author Posted January 1, 2007 You're fucking good at keeping secrets aren't ya dickhead. I sure am! XD
Rummy Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 I honestly can't believe more of you didn't find this sooner, it was blatently asking for the click, especially given the rumble when you move the hand over it. I found it on the first day! Besides, it's a crap secret.
ipaul Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 You're fucking good at keeping secrets aren't ya dickhead. Post of the year.

Shorty Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 Post of the year. We're only 15 hours in, shouldn't we wait for a few more nominees first?
Rummy Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 We're only 15 hours in, shouldn't we wait for a few more nominees first? Technically, it was a post for last year :p Is there really much point in those headlines/news on the shop channel? I don't really get why they're there..
