ShadowV7 Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Excellent news! June is the time when we have to pay for the full version, they said it would be out before that, around March time. Ah so they did, can't believe I forgot that. I'm looking forward to see what's changed.
Tellyn Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 I would like: - Better speeds for loading (although the current speed is actually mega fast) - An updated Flash player - More support for plugin content - Keyboard released by Nintendo specifically for typing messages and surfing the web (I'm just thinking, this could actually be an extension to the Wiimote and use the same plug as the Nunchuk) - Tabbed browsing - History - Address bar - Better organisation for favourites
flameboy Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 even if they just released a keypad like a mobile one as an add on for the wiimote I'd be relatively happy.
motion Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 We should be able to plug in our own USB keyboard at the back, although they need to make as much money as possible so will most likely limit keyboard usage to their own branded one...
Jasper Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 We should be able to plug in our own USB keyboard at the back, although they need to make as much money as possible so will most likely limit keyboard usage to their own branded one... Do you need drivers for Keyboard? Anyway, the Wii is linked up using a program from japanese developers that mostly ignores all USB input devices. You can get through that fairly easely, but it's not the handiest system ever. Check your Wii manual for info on the company (web address) with something called PRMail.
DCK Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 Do you need drivers for Keyboard?I believe that every single keyboard uses a certain standard that can be interpreted by a generic driver. It means you can use all regular buttons and not them fancy media buttons.
flameboy Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 I believe that every single keyboard uses a certain standard that can be interpreted by a generic driver. It means you can use all regular buttons and not them fancy media buttons. yeah that is the case, hence why if you get a new one you can just plug it straight in.
AshMat Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 I like tellyn's idea of a keyboard that plugs into the Wiimote like the classic controller.
Guest Stefkov Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 I went on it last night at 1 ish to watch some Chappeles show, because I couldnt sleep, then I thought would it be hard and fun to use iketch on it. I treid it but all it showed was a box saying plug in content.
Cube Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 I treid it but all it showed was a box saying plug in content. Shockwave support would be a nice addition.
DiemetriX Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 New images. All though it has been delayed to april.
Gaijin von Snikbah Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Looks great. Im looking very much forward to it. Thats expecting they have fixed the major problems like scroll and zooming.
ShadowV7 Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 It's not exactly been delayed since they said it was gonna be released march/april anyway.
DiemetriX Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 New videos on http://wii.com/jp/articles/internet-channel/story.html just press the Japanese hyper links. Confirmed new features - Final Channel screen - New menu bar, with hide feature. - Better zoom - Better scroll function
Gaijin von Snikbah Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Not good enough. The scrolling should be like on the weather channel when you move the planet. And the zooming should be mouch faster. Booo hooo.
Apple_NdiB Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Does anyone else have problems scrolling when zoomed in, especially on this forum? It always zooms out by itself for me, and occasionally pops up to the top of the page.com
Cube Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Does anyone else have problems scrolling when zoomed in, especially on this forum? It always zooms out by itself for me, and occasionally pops up to the top of the page.com They need to fix the full stop problem that the predictive text causes.
DiemetriX Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 The predictive text sux IMO. I wish I could turn it off. I like that they have a suggestion bar, but the forced suggestion is really bad.
Cube Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 The predictive text sux IMO. I wish I could turn it off. I like that they have a suggestion bar, but the forced suggestion is really bad. Press the button to the right of the bar..
