  1. Nice, we had a friend living around there until recently, quite liked it there. Hopefully things move quick with such a short chain.
  2. Nice one @Ashley! What area is that in?
  3. My GC controller and case payment just got taken by Nintendo too - Time to start getting excited!
  4. Same here! I was always sad they never did another version of this - I'd have loved to have had more of it.
  5. I think nowadays it's pretty much only Nintendo games that could get me to spend more than say about 50 quid. Maybe there's a few SpiderMan games I'd pay full price PS5 prices for and GTA6 is another exception I'd go higher on. With Switch 2 I reckon I'd have been willing to pay more for Mario Kart had it of been more expensive. At £100 I'd definitely have bought it, at £150 even I still reckon I'd have gone for it - I know that I'm going to get an insane amount of value out of it even at those prices. The next Mario and Zelda games? Same thing, no issue at all paying £100 for them. The yearly re-release of whatever sports game? I'm probably never going to pay more than £20 for one of those ever again.
  6. It's not the mechanics, it's the expression of them. Yeah it's exactly this as it makes it so blatantly obvious where the rip off is taking place. I've only looked at one source as this hasn't really interested me but it's immediately obvious that Nintendo will have something to the effect of "Gliding using an in-game pet as the gliding mechanism" protected and Palworld have... made a system where you glide using an in-game pet as the mechanism - it's as much of a clear cut case as you can get. Yeah they have to be specific, the Tetris case is an interesting one to read up on how it all works.
  7. The email thing is kind of annoying. I had mine for the controller and case this morning so moved money into my current account to pay for it. If it doesnt get taken today then they may as well have not sent the email, the money will go on other stuff coming out first.
  8. I had the Switch 1 version of this and use it to this day. Have this one on order and can't see any reason to move away from it later - how come it's just a stand in for you? Screen protectors I don't bother with, never seen the point. Why do you keep your Switch in the front garden?
  9. That’s super helpful, thanks for sharing - you’ve got some great stuff there! Looking at the pics those N64 games are in amazing condition. I’m basically thinking if I can get somewhere between the CEX buy and sell price I’m happy. If you’re interested I can sort some better pics but all of those are in basically new condition. Burning Rangers would be dependent on me finding the box - I know its there somewhere but have a bit of searching to do. Except where noted it’s all PAL. I do have a big pile of JP Saturn and Gamecube stuff I need to put down.
  10. For anyone interested I'm putting together a List of Stuff I'm getting rid of. If anything takes your fancy let me know.
  11. For the most part yes, I’m a bit annoyed with my Dad for ramming so so much of it in boxes too small to move house but I guess that’s my fault for not being there to sort it properly. I think the GBA I found is my original one. It was the first import I ever had. Amazingly Stourbridge used to have an awesome little Indy game store and they sorted a Japanese one with Mario Kart for me. I was the coolest kid in school.
  12. Yeah, I might try it for all of the potentially higher value stuff. The difference between CEX buy and sell price is quite wide, even landing half way between feels worth it.
  13. The box is a bit banged up but one of those Dreamcasts is brand new:
  14. I already have a few spice cube controllers and yet I’d definitely pay a premium to get a new one.
  15. For anyone interested here is the stuff I’ve sorted through so far at my parents place: Not sure whether to give eBay a try or just dump it all to CEX. Are there any other ways of getting rid of this type of stuff nowadays?
  16. I don’t want to but I know I’ll end up buying this at that price.
  17. Thanks @Julius and @Hero-of-Time! Ordered a controller and a carry case and with that I am all set for launch day.
  18. Heel Cena is awesome. This run is showing that he really is great at what he does.
  19. Agreed @BowserBasher, Saturday was a bit dull with a great main event, Sunday was an amazing undercard with a main event that didn't quite hit what it should have.
  20. Wasn't all that impressed with this season. I feel like originally there were great ideas with real dystopian storylines that you could actually see a world in which they might happen. Now I either don't see them as being remotely possible or just completely ridiculous storylines. I think it's something similar to the uncanny vally, if the stories are somewhat restricted and you feel like it might just be possible then they can be quite uncomfortable to watch. If someone has a computer that changes reality based on voice commands you just don't care. I think Common People and Hotel Reverie were the best of a bad bunch, but neither of them were particularly great.
  21. Yeah I thought that would be the case, it's only the gamecube stuff that is imports, the rest is all UK/PAL.
  22. @Ashley here is the US stuff I have here. I think I have a few more at my parent's place and then a ton of JP stuff in the cupboard here.
  23. I do, but I think it's all US/JP stuff - I have a ton of it here so will take a pic and put it in here for you if interested. Do you forget that we both learned our craft from the same master? That's good to know, I have a few things, particularly systems, that seem to be well over that, will make sure I do it when they're likely to be quiet. I did the same thing but then re-aquired even more stuff when I was first working in EB then later from car boots. I have some things I probably got for free that are now in the £400 range - mad.
  24. @Hero-of-Time did you just take everything to CEX? What's the process like? I've decided I'm going to get rid of my entire collection of retro stuff - don't want it to be a huge hassle but also want to get half decent prices for it all.
  25. That’s exciting @Ashley! What a pain. At least you know about it now rather than finding out after moving in. If you really wanted the place it would be a good way of getting some money off but if they’re having to do that it suggests it’s not particularly well managed and you’d probably have to expect more issues to cover later on. Where are you looking at buying?
