Two clubs per week is waaayyyyy too slow... I've already beaten one and it's a short game in general. There's only 3 trainers and a gym leader in each club after all... A club or two a day sounds like a good way

Nintendo 3DS Direct - 3rd Party Games (11th July)
Dcubed replied to Serebii's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I wouldn't necessarily say that... 3DS' localisation record has actually been really good. We've gotten almost every noteworthy game localised over here (or at least due to come over here) with the exceptions of the Dragon Quest games, Yo-Kai Watch (which is probably coming, given that the anime is coming over), Time Travellers, Final Fantasy Explorers (which has been trademarked in the US and EU, so it's probably coming over), Beyond the Labyrinth, Puyo Puyo Tetris, Band Bros P, Ex Troopers, Gaist Crusher and Hero Bank. Compared to the masses of DS/GBA/PSP/GB/C games that never got released over here, 3DS owners have gotten very lucky! -
A shame that the Light Suit is just a recolour (understandable, but still a shame), but at least it looks decently close to the real deal. Mario though, oh my God... I know it's from this... But I just can't help but think...

I'm cool with a TCG playthrough. I'm in the mood to dedicate my life to travelling the world for cheap pieces of paper once more!

I'd imagine that it's less effort than getting wireless link cable emulation to work (which would bring about a nightmarish mix of technical issues involving connection stability - considering that the GB games were designed to expect a perfectly stable connection at all times), especially if they take the lazy route and just ask people to put their 3DS SD card into the Wii U SD Card slot instead of trying to do wireless Transfer Pak emulation. Also provides a handy dandy incentive to buy a Wii U & Stadium 1 & 2
-
Mind you though... Even if Nintendo continue to refuse to support wireless multiplayer with GB VC games, a re-release of the mainline Pokemon games isn't impossible... ... ... if they support Transfer Pak features with the N64 games on the Wii U VC! (Be it via direct 3DS-Wii U wireless or by inserting the 3DS' SD Card into the Wii U's SD Card slot to transfer the save file). That would also be a sneaky way to encourage people to buy Pokemon Stadium 1 & 2 if they want to battle and trade in the GB PKMN games too

This has new stages and extra stuff that's not in Triple Deluxe. It doesn't seem to have everything from TD either, so the minigame in the retail game isn't made redundant by this either...
-
It is... and that's a stupidly cheap price for a Pro controller! Tempted to get another one myself, just 'cause... Edit: Aww what!? £11 shipping!? ... never mind
-
The sad part is that I assumed that this was all standard practice anyway... It's sad knowing that my cynical thoughts turn out to be true most of the time As will I and (hopefully) every other decent person here! I just think it's amazing how their re-releases have been enough to keep them sustained for so long! Incredible to think that they've been successful enough to keep them alive and well enough to make projects of this scale!

Japan is getting Kunio-Kun no Dodge Ball Dayo Zenin Shuugo!, Super Mario Advance and Kuru Kuru Kururin next week. I wonder if the US will actually get the EU version of KKKururin this time... That would be pretty awesome to see (oh and KKKururin Paradise in Europe would be nice too NOE Hell, you could even probably get away with releasing it untranslated even, given how little text is in the game...)
-
No online mode seems liks such a wasted opportunity... I know that it would be a ton of work for a cheap release like this, but surely it could just share most of the netcode being used in Smash Bros 3DS, given how close it plays to its inspiration...
-
So this is basically like the New Challenge Mode stages that were included with the Kirby 25th Anniversary Collection... but this time they're being sold separately. I'm perfectly happy with this! I went out of my way to get that collection just for those extra stages so by all means, I'm happy this time around. Still haven't even started KTD though. I have the game, but not nearly enough time on my hands

Oh snap! Secret bases got an EPIC upgrade! They're not just crappy old secret bases anymore... they're SUPER Secret Bases now! YOU CAN BASICALLY MAKE YOUR OWN CUSTOM POKEMON GYM USING THEM!!! It's like they looked at the secret bases as being a prototype that weren't finished and actually built something around them! If the rest of the game gets the same kind of treatment that these Super Secret Bases got, then this could really be the Super version of R/S/E that we always wanted!

The next game in the series has been revealed and it's... Fantasy Zone 2! But not JUST Fantasy Zone 2... It includes the original Master System game and THIS! Yup! It also includes a 3D version of the System 16 remake that M2 did for the SEGA Ages collection! But that's not all! Because there's an all new mode too! It's basically an endless mode of sorts where the stages are mashed together and loop endlessly to see how far you make it. There are also coins that you collect along the way to keep a combo multiplier going. From what I can gather over on Neogaf, this is supposedly the last game in this current series (NOOOO!!!!)

Dragon Quest X: Rise of the Five Tribes (Wii/Wii U Online RPG)
Dcubed replied to killer kirby's topic in Nintendo Gaming
To be fair, it was around 5-6 years going from DQ8-9 and about 3-4 years from DQ7-8 so it's not really outside of the norm (in fact, the gap between DQ9-10 was actually extraordinarily small). Plus the 3DS & smartphone "versions" shouldn't really count since they're just streamed videos of the PC version. They're not really actual versions of the game... That being said, at this point I'm just worried about S-E turning DQ11 into some sort of F2P garbage... Wouldn't surprise me one bit, knowing them... -
Of course! and here's your first bit of advice... Farfetch'd and Scyther all day, every day
-
There's a 0.1% chance that this cameo could possibly make people like Fi, but I still think she's a great inclusion. Lots of potential in a dancer-style moveset But it still won't be 1-1 motion controlled... We're gonna get cockteased... yet again

Dragon Quest X: Rise of the Five Tribes (Wii/Wii U Online RPG)
Dcubed replied to killer kirby's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Cloud streamed!? Oh boy... It's gonna play like hot steaming garbage... Surely the 3DS could run this game properly! It's not like we haven't already seen Wii ports hit the console that run absolutely fine... -
The sooner we start getting competition going in this sector the better. It's nice that GAME offer discounts over the eShop itself, but I want to see it go further
-
Nice to see that Capcom isn't letting up on the VC releases Hope we get the GBA version of Super Ghouls n' Ghosts soon. Always wanted to try that crazy arrange mode!
-
True, but I'm more bothered by the lack of multiplayer. It's still a great single player game sure, but the lack of any multi will sting badly Either way, I don't think that it's a sign of the mainline games coming to the VC because they're just so badly crippled without their original multiplayer modes...
-
Yeah, you're right, I did forget about them... but aren't they counted as "extra" cards? IIRC, the game doesn't actually count them when it comes to filling out your collection - much like how Mew in RBY isn't required in order for your Pokedex to be counted as "completed" in the game itself.
-
This'll be my first time playing PnT! So excite! Hope this means that the rest of Konami's un-rereleased catalogue will be coming out in the next few weeks! (I know that CV Dracula X was OFLC/PEGI rated at around the same time as PnT, so fingers crossed!)
-
Yeah, you don't have to like Pokemon to enjoy this. Keep in mind though that this is a (basic) RPG that happens to have card battles instead of your typical turn-based fighting. It's not just a Pokemon TCG simulator...
-
I haven't played any of the SNES Twinbee games and from what I hear, this is one of the very best in the series! (Not to mention that I'm a sucker for classic Konami shooters and All-Things-Cute in general ) Can't wait!
