Mine has been shipped! Hopefully I'll get it tomorrow!
-
Less than 12 hours to go! Get Hype!

Teslagrad is a nice game, I have it on Wii U. It may be a bit slowpaced for some (as it's more of a puzzle platformer than an action game) but I'd certainly recommend it

Oh my God he attacks with the sail that's brilliant It's so brilliant that I have forgotten how to use punctuation his voice so funny yes yes yes

It's probably a dead cert, but you might as well wait until the Nintendo Direct comes out now so you have some info to fill it with. Pretty hilarious how it has taken Microsoft buying out Mojang in order for this game to finally hit a Nintendo platform This game is coming way too late to make any sort of impact... unless it features Amiibo support

Has anyone's copy from NISA's store shipped yet? I know that rightfully if it's gonna be delivered on launch day that it should be shipped out tomorrow, but I'm getting antsy... I've never ordered from there before and I get that sinking feeling that they're not gonna get it to me by Friday... Agreed. It's bloody annoying that I can't just get the Wii game off the eShop and I have been voicing my demand to NISA on Twitter about it... I get that they obviously want to encourage people to buy it along with the Wii U game at full price, but hopefully they'll eventually get the message and put the Wii game up for sale on the eShop alone at some point.

Cheers! The story is live now and you've been properly credited : peace:

Hey! Well that came out of absolutely nowhere! Nice to see! Now how's about we finally get Rusty's Real Deal Baseball here in Europe NOE? Mind if I post this on the main site with your picture? Is the app available right now if you input the download code?

Symphonia is still my favourite, but Abyss is good stuff as well. It really needs to be cut down tremendously though, at least by half its length. Good god that game is padded out to hell! It was also one of the few 3D Tales games that actually had a somewhat interesting overworld, before they sucked all the gameplay out of the out-of-battle sections and turned all the dungeons into linear corridors with nothing of interest in them. Agreed with this as well. That's like the one good song in the game Really, the music in Tales games outside of the openings hasn't really been noteworthy since Symphonia and Legendia. That's not really Sakuraba's fault though as he is apparently being asked to stick with making bland music at the request of Namco Though he definitely does have a recognisable signature style, he actually does have some range. You wouldn't believe that the same composer who does the Tales games also does the music for Dark Souls and Baten Kaitos! Also as many of you know he composed some of the music for Kid Icarus Uprising, including Dark Pit's theme... It's a shame that he gets typecasted so much because he clearly is capable of delivering something much more interesting when he gets the chance!

If we get Starfox 1 & 2, then it'll be acceptable... Mother 3 would also be acceptable... Anything less and I'm looking for the nearest cliff!
-
Give me GameCube games on eShop or give me death! And no 50hz or 480i only garbage either! Also it's time for Starfox 1 & 2 on the VC to make up for the Starfox Zero delay!! Make it happen!!!

And another Bonus level is now up! You must have JavaScript enabled on your device to view Miiverse posts that have been embedded in a website. View post in Miiverse Probably gonna be my last Bonus level for a while now. Next time I make some levels, I think I'm gonna carry on with my normal ones. This one is a nice, devious puzzle level. Good luck with this one, MWAHAHAHAHA!!

That wasn't done by NOA or NOE. It was done by 8-4 (who also did FE Awakening).

In recent times, yeah they have been really trigger happy with those memes (I'm looking at YOU Pokemon X&Y and Pokemon ORAS!), but honestly? I'd rather be subjected to them then a boring and dry translation like what you see in Hotel Dusk. That being said, NOE's UK English translations have generally gotten much better in recent years - especially when it comes to the games that they localise themselves (like Xenoblade, Project Zero 2 and 5 or Pandora's Tower), but whenever they're editing NOA's scripts, it's usually not for the better (really, Splatoon's changes are just terrible!)
-
Agreed so wholeheartedly. The disparity between regions in terms of releases is utter lunacy in this day and age! It lessens the impact that their games have on social media and causes endless amounts of confusion. Their insistence on noticeable differences between regional versions is also completely stupid. We don't need dialogue to be heavily reworked, especially when NOA's Treehouse division is generally considered to be the best of the best at what they do (NOE's UK translation work is generally lacking in comparison to NOA's - it tends to be dry and very literal in comparison to Treehouse's work; just look at Advance Wars Dark Conflict vs Days of Ruin or Splatoon US vs Splatoon EU - it's not even close!) They're not even consistent about the games they change! Splatoon has almost entirely different dialogue between versions, but the Zelda games are almost the same outside of some minor changes. Changing US spellings to UK ones? Sure, go ahead. Changing words that are offensive in some regions that are not in others? (like "spastic" here in the UK, or "hell" in America), absolutely fine and necessary. Changing names of characters!? HELL NO!!! Why the hell they insisted on changing Burne's name to Staven with Zelda Spirit Tracks I have no bloody idea! Or adding a pointless "Bros" onto the end of the names of the latest two Mario & Luigi games; why!? It doesn't even make sense from a FIGS localisation standpoint! Just use the US versions of names, scripts and dialogue and just make the bare minimum of changes! You'll save so much money, improve social media consistency ten-fold and overall be left with better product! Stop making unnecessary changes!

Verdict: A dismally dreary and deficient display of titles that totally dishearten, depress and dispirit the soul
-
Little fun fact: Vanpool (the developer that co-developed this game alongside Skip - they're actually ex Skip staff BTW) also developed the Tingle games on DS as well as the two Dillon's Rolling Western games; so that explains the costumes
-
Heh, so one of us here like it and one doesn't. This one should be pretty interesting to dive into when I get the chance Got my copy along with the Amiibo. Bit of a shame that it wasn't made out of metal though, that would've been nice to see; especially since they started using different materials with the Yarn Yoshi Amiibos.

I actually thought that the controls worked very well in WSR for the Jetski game, they allow for very fine control while turning that is more difficult to do when playing more twitchy with an analog stick; but on the other hand it does mean that it takes longer to go from extreme left to extreme right (or vice versa) than it would with a stick because you'd have to physically move yourself from one side to the other. In terms of level design, it could be pretty interesting as the control scheme would lend itself well to very tight corridors that require very fine shifting in both directions but would discourage sudden tight turns in two different directions one after that other. It would certainly make for a different kind of experience! I'd actually like to see that still happen, seems like it has some potential to shake things up! (Tricks could be pretty interesting too, especially if they allow you to move the rider around with motion controls while you're doing one) Well we all said that about Kid Icarus, X, Sin & Punishment and Punchout didn't we?
-
A shame, but it was the wrong time for such a game I suppose; what with NST's then recent troubles and Wii Sports Resort coming in to already fill that niche to some extent. Even if it had been greenlit, it wouldn't have ended up coming out until around late 2011/early 2012 anyway; far too late in the Wii's lifecycle to make any noticeable impact. Still, if there's anything that Nintendo are known for; it's that they never abandon an old concept completely. I reckon that we may still yet see Wave Race return someday
-
Wow! It actually works!? Amazing! I wonder if anything could still be salvaged from that cartridge... Crazy stuff! I really hope that thing ends up in a museum

My next set of 3 bonus levels are up now, just in case you haven't checked the Mario Maker ID Thread. Well, since I've just uploaded some new ones, why not one of mine? (Pretty sure that you're already following me, but just in case you aren't, you can find my Mario Maker page by typing in this code C3E8-0000-003E-C124 and then by clicking on my Mii) I'd suggest either Bonus 1 (tough as nails, but one that I reckon would be a good watch for the audience - and generally pretty funny), or if you want something easier, than I'd suggest my newly released Bonus 4 (it's not very hard, but it has a pretty neat idea behind it that might make the audience go OOH!) BTW, are you gonna be keeping the donation page open after the 7th? I'm not gonna be here for the day itself (otherwise I'd love to have helped out and taken part) and I'd like to donate but I'm short on cash until the 10th; so I can't donate until then...
