  1. Astro's Playroom, Demon's Souls, Destruction AllStars, Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Sackboy A Big Adventure are all PS5 launch titles. Not sure why they didn’t bother announcing this in the actual unveil video, but whatevs. That’s not a bad launch lineup (even if only one of those games is actually console exclusive at launch).
  2. Ahh. So it IS a launch title? Nice. No reason why it shouldn’t be. Blueprint have had plenty of time to work on this. Wonder if it’ll come to PS4 as well...
  3. Demon’s Souls is coming to PC (and “other consoles”; whatever that means), and FF16 is timed exclusive (coming to Xbox after the PS5 release).
  4. Do reckon that they decided to change price at the last moment in response to the Xbox leak. Still, I’m really surprised that Sony went and did the deed. They’re gonna be losing A LOT of money on each machine (especially the Digital model!)
  5. Miles Morales is now coming to PS4 as well. It’s no longer a PS5 exclusive. Weird decision.
  6. No official launch lineup? Are they really gonna roll with just one game at launch?
  7. I will lick my own arsehole if GOW Ragnarok comes out in 2021. No fucking hope in hell.
  8. Gamepass knockoff lets go!! $499.99 is better than I expected.
  9. DMC5 SE is as expected as a cloudy sky in Britain. Capcom’s gonna Capcom; but it’s welcome to see in this case Deathloop looks rad as hell as always
  10. It’s on PC as well.
  11. FF16 looks pretty cool. Nice to see a medieval Final Fantasy again!
  12. FF16 ripping off Xenoblade’s voices I see!
  13. It’s interesting that it’s not using the same emulator as on the Nvidia Shield; that’s what I was expecting them to do, so they definitely surprised me there! NERD seem to have taken over all of Nintendo’s emulation projects now. While NST (who used to do the N64 VC emulator) are now doing native ports of EPD/ EAD games (They’re doing Super Mario 3D World for Switch - They have no input on Bowser’s Fury though, that’s EPD Tokyo’s next project after Super Mario Odyssey) and collab development with indie studios (Good Job, Snipperclips).
  14. Probably because they’re pushing the GPU clocks too high (due to their variable clocks shenanigans; to try and bolster the paper specs and make the console look comparable to Series X); if I had to hazard a guess. High clocks = High temps = Poor yields & reliability issues.
  15. Can I has GCN & Wii VC now plz Nintendo?
  16. Sony have stated that they have not changed their planned production numbers since they started manufacturing. They did not deny the poor yields however.
  17. If there wasn’t enough proof that the Tories are happy to sell off every major British institution and for the UK to become America’s puppet? Well... Oh no doubt this’ll shake up the industry as a whole; but I think the effects will primarily be medium/long-term. It’ll no doubt accelerate the end of x86/x64 in the PC space, as well as the demise of Intel & IBM once ARM takes over the server space. It’s also good news for Nintendo in the medium-term as it grants them an ability to ask for more customised ARM chips at a cheaper price, but it also makes them even more reliant on Nvidia in the long-term than they already are; so I do wonder how long it’ll be until Nvidia start tightening the vice on Nintendo’s balls...
  18. And here it is! No crazy, insane game breaking shenanigans this time (for the most part). This course is fairly straightforward for one of my own productions. Enjoy!
  19. I aint got no horse in this race myself (Hell, I actually have a PS4 and no Xbox One anyway). I'm not exactly fond of Sony as a company though; I don't like their attitude towards game preservation and their disregard for their own legacy (the way they treat their past is shameful), nor do I like their arrogant attitude in general. I'm also not fond of their vision for the future of the industry, or for what games should be (discount Prestige TV). But I'm not exactly hard for Microsoft either and what their vision of the future is... but credit where credit is due; I'm very happy to see what they're doing with backwards compatibility (God I wish that Nintendo and Sony would follow suit!), they're doing a lot right in general right now. Game Pass is incredible value and a genuine disruption within the industy (how sustainable it is is of course, a matter for debate though). I like that Microsoft are trying something genuinely different, instead of settling for being a generic game box and nothing more. So that's my stance on both companies right now. I'm not a huge fan of either company, but I do like a lot of what Microsoft is doing right now. Either way, I'm interested to see how things play out and what it means for the future of the industry as a whole.
  20. This stupid game of chicken has been pissing me off for ages (on both sides). I just want to see how things are gonna play out already! Anyway, I take it that we're gonna be seeing the launch lineup here. Shall be interesting to see which games actually make the cut.
  21. Well they sure reacted quickly to Microsoft's leak! Finally, this stupid secrecy can come to an end!
  22. The Series S and X have the same hardware outside of the GPU and RAM size/speed (Which will basically just mean lower resolution rendering and textures). The SSD and CPU speed is the same between both machines; so it'll play the same games at the same loading speed.
  23. My God! It's finally getting released!? This has been in development for like half a decade! Shocking that they actually managed to get Howard Phillips, Howard Lincoln and Peter Main to interview for this! Thought we'd never hear from them again! Looking forward to it
