No, its a completely separate game with no characters crossing over (*), but a shared theme - like Final Fantasy. (* Unless you use Amiibo but that is a bonus and most likely not involved in the story. There is a small chance of a minor spoiler for awakening I guess...) So, I am now at the start of chapter 6. Whilst I like the battle mechanics and the bosses, I feel that the story leaves a lot too be desired. It like it doesn't know whether it wants to be serious or light hearted half of the time. Also, what is it with Japanese RPGs and food jokes at the moment? I thought Xenoblade X was bad but this can be awful. I cringe every time one of the characters uses the phrase 'coup de gravy' or variant thereof. (This can't have translated directly either surely).

It does not look pretty. Perhaps they are aiming for a low bar when it comes to phone capabilities.

Yes, I use it extensively when the wife is watching TV or if TV is backgroundable - such as a sports game where I am only vaguely interested in the outcome. I am torn for the NX though. I want the off screen play to return but I am wary about the cost it might add to the console (or more accurately the subsequent lack of power).

Reading the whole thread make him sound very dubious. Particularly that he talks about release SKU's which surely would not have been decided yet. I have played and really enjoyed a lot of the launch software, but it did not make for an impressive launch or E3 showing. If the software they have now is of a similar style, then they should absolutely wait until E3 and announce everything at the same time. If they have more than Zelda to show for NX and it is a core/new franchise that will demo well then I think they should announce the hardware beforehand.

Or, you know, the game could tell you? I have had a level removed from the online. It had 5-9 stars I think and a reasonably low completion rate, but not my lowest in stars and completion. Would like to know exactly why it was removed.

@Glen\-i I finally got around to playing the game again over the weekend and I beat the Patissier with the charm bracelets and only killing one of the side dudes - cheers for that. After that the next boss was a walk in the park. I have also stopped neglecting the moon and so now have a fair few more specials.

The Global Nemesis is being fought by the whole internet at the same time. Therefore it needs more than one energy bar. This is therefore called its RP bar and each time you kill it once you remove one RP from the worldwide total. After the fight, as well as getting the reward tickets for breaking appendages, you will get a ranking and further rewards (although sadly not tickets) based on how many RP you removed. If you still playing when the nemesis is finally reduced to zero you get another chance to kill its last bar and get additional rewards/achievements. I don't know as I have only ever done it solo. Perhaps it is a number determining contribution and rewards would eventually feed back to @RedShell s character. Or perhaps the number of RP his character removed.

I really hope its not this. If it is you have to wonder why there has been no one at Nintendo that has said hang on a sec...

Couldn't you get the stuff in the 80 quid edition cheaper if the first print edition is 50 quid? Or at least lose the cap and save 4 quid? Not sure about the game yet, but ordered the first print edition just in case.

That's good. I thought for a moment they had reduced the cost of the device by removing the motion sensors and tracking its location by camera. If you don't have a camera, can you still look around, but stationary in your seat then?

Reading this interview with Yoshida, it sounds like the PSVR has a limited field of view because of the camera: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2016-03-17-shuhei-yoshida-gdc-interview Does that mean that you wont be able to look behind you for example? If so, that seems like quiet a significant limitation for a VR headset.

I would usually use levels for steam rollering as well, but.... Embarrassingly I am 3-4 levels higher than the highest level in the previous dungeon.
