The stream is locked at 30. Sounds like that your internet playing up.

Hey Sackboy. Mario called. He wants his game back.
-
The Rachet and Clank gameplay is a very Nintendo-like way of showing off hardware. They've basically designed the main gimmick around the SSD.

Ratchet LOOKS incredible. Even with these streams locked at 1080p my jaw dropped from Ratchet and GT. Ratchet also very much showing off the SSD loading speed.

Spiderman is coming THIS YEAR?!

Quite enjoying the music. HERE WE GO!

Hmm tempted to do that instead of watching on my laptop. Dat HD goodness.

My understanding of the Bloodborne rumour is that it's more than just the free upgrade that most games get. It's basically an updated edition that's had gameplay and structural changes. Assuming it's true, I guess they could just release it next year. Either way...I'm stoked. As I've said before I'm there day one either way. My expectations are Demon Souls, Ratchet and Clank and Gran Turismo, but I'm hoping we get a proper look at the 2021 line up and some exclusive Japanese support. Resident Evil 8 would be most welcome.
-
The one question I have about Demon Souls is whether it's a launch title. There have been rumours about a PC and PS5 vesion of Bloodborne that includes all of the DLC and is slightly updated relative to the OG PS4 game...If true, I wonder if they'd want the two of them coming out at the same time.

Jason (formerly of Kotaku and now writing for Bloomberg) has just said that Spiderman 2 isn't Insomniac's next game.... My Rachet and Clank hype is officially through the roof!

A number of reliable insiders (including the Digital Foundry team) have said that Microsoft are releasing two next gen Xbox's. One that is a super high end, 4K device but also one that is has the exact same CPU, SSD but a weaker GPU that will focus on 1080p (or even 1440p) versions of next gen games. It will allow MS to offer a cheaper jump into next gen for those that either want a XB as a secondary console or perhaps don't have a TV to take advantage o the XSX or PS5.
-
Worth remembering that launch consoles target the hardcore gamers and not the mainstream (google 'diffusion of technological innovation graphs'). The PS5 and XSX will be premium products from day one. Even the PS4 will still sell bucketloads this winter because it will be the mass market product at a much lower price point. For what it's worth, I reckon Lockhart will be around £299/£329. A 1080p next gen machine around £100 cheaper than a PS5 is a pretty decent purchase.
-
I can't see £500 being the pricing floor as @Dcubed suggested as that translates to close to $600+ and that's before tax. Sony won't release a $700 console in the USA. Also, Sony are making huge sums of money from PSN and digital downloads (more than Nintendo and Xbox profits combined). This will be even more the case when PS5 launches because from day one, hundreds of games will be available and won't cost anything in terms of development. As such, Sony will make huge profits on any game sold. They can easily take a loss. Edit. I should point out that I don't think we'll get a price tomorrow.
-
£499 was listed alongside a 500GB and 1TB console and we know neither are happening (Cerny confirmed the standard hard drive is 850GB ish). If £500 happens it will be for a higher capacity SKU. I imagine the base console will be around £425/450 each. XSX and Lockhart will be a bit above that and a bit below respectively imo.
-
Sorry to hear that @Happenstance. I actually know someone who was once in a similar position with their mum. Very strange and not something I can comprehend, but I hope you're alright. @martinist Enjoy the drink! What's your drink of choice? We've started having wine almost every night with dinner. I need to cut down.

I can't even begin to describe how much I'm missing this sport being on TV! Delighted that it's back next month and even happier that we're getting so many back to back races. Mercedes will be favourites but I think Max and Red Bull will surprise people this year. Lewis often starts the season a bit slow so two high altitude races at Austria followed by the tight and twisty Hungaroring could make them strong contenders, at least at the beginning of the year. Spain in August could also be interesting as it will be much hotter than it's ever been there. I read a lot of German and Italian publications for F1 news and it looks like Baku and Singapore won't be happening, and COTA, Mexico and Brazil have huge question marks over them. As a result, FOM are looking at hosting two additional European races in September, with Mugello, Imola and Hockenheim all contenders. Either of the first two would be pretty special.

I posted it to you in animal crossing.

Can't wait! There are some rumours going round that an updated version of Bloodborne will be shown alongside a Demon Soul's Remake. Assuming that's true, I'm 100% there at launch. It's funny you know...we were getting married this November but have delayed due to covid...At this rate I'll be ending up with a PS5 instead!

Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition (29th May)
Goron_3 replied to ArtMediocre's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I've put another 4 hours in (I'm pretty addicted tbh!) and man, I wish the game looked better. I haven't had a single frame rate problem but there are areas of the game which look awful in docked mode. It's definitely the definitive version of the game, but I feel like a full on a remake instead of this style of upgrade would have been better. That said, this game must have been mind-blowing on the Wii. The scale of the environments must have blown people away. I'm on chapter seven and I've been taken aback by the scale of some of the areas already. I'm not surprised Monolith have staff working on Zelda - at this point I think they might be Nintendo's best team when it comes to world building. I'm looking forward to their next I.P as well as a potential XCX remaster.- 198 replies

Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition (29th May)
Goron_3 replied to ArtMediocre's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Think I'm about eight hours, making my way to Colony 6. In love with the game already. The combat system in this game, along with XC2, is just so damn addictive. The only thing I'm missing is the elemental types that XC2 had, but the combat is still pretty great. Definitely falling in love with the world the game is set in, and the characters seem to be pretty interesting and not quite so one dimension. The game is a mixed bag graphically, but ultimately it's an improved version of a Wii game so I'm happy. Thankfully the frame rate has been flawless.- 198 replies

Not 100% related to the PS5 but very classy of Sony to tweet this:
-
Microsoft's main issue is that they never sell well anywhere other than the U.S. You mention CoD and FIFA, but even when MS were at their strongest (360), they were still comfortably outsold every year by the PS3, and that's despite Kinect bolstering their final year sales.
-
Microsoft are making the right moves, but worth keeping in mind that those studios won't have a game ready exclusively for next-gen for another 2-3 years at the earliest. It's also going to be their first effort in each case. Sony's biggest advantage is that all of their teams are super efficient. That said, as I've already mentioned in here, I'm definitely buying a next gen Xbox, even if it's a Lockhart and not the XSX. GamePass is too good to pass.
-
I don't see what the issue is? They did this with the Pro remember. Essentially, any game that comes out from July must be tested by the developer and not Sony. This is...pretty much what everyone expected?
