Nintendo Direct 23rd Jan - Wii U only - Worldwide
M_rock replied to Serebii's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I always felt like Resident Evil Revelations was best suited for a portable system like the 3DS, I mean it's even written in chapters for shorter play sessions etc. I guess it's good to get it on the WiiU too, but I'll just stick with my 3DS version. -
Nintendo Direct 23rd Jan - Wii U only - Worldwide

I really can't wait to find out what they are going to announce! It might finally become the time for me to actually get a WiiU haha, I almost got the money saved up -
I know many people would disagree, but after playing scribblenauts and super scribblenauts I think I'm totally done with the franchise.

Since I can't find that thank button anywhere: Thanks! :p

Hehe your flipnotes are awesome! I really like your drawings! These are some very old ones I used to be proud of
-
Ahaha I envy you SO much right now! Hope you're having fun playing it!

I'll never forget the day I got flipnote studio on my DSi. I was looking forward to make animations in it, and it was the main reason I bought a DSi. I loved the app so much, I could just draw simple little movies, without having to know any complicated software packages. It was so crazy for me, I made tons of little story flipnotes everywhere, at home, at lunch break, on the train. I guess it's also the reason that I'm studying animation now haha, nintendo really made me realise what I love so much. So yeah I'll always love them for that Besides that I'll never forget the many happy memories I have of playing the wind waker and Animal Crossing: Wild World

Does anybody actually have the final formee? I've been trying to unlock it since ages. It requires you to get all the trophies, but man it's impossible to streetpass someone with this game in Belgium. I don't think I'll ever get it and the internet has no pictures of it at all haha.

Pokemon Wii U (Wanted / Why isn't it happening?)
M_rock replied to Retro_Link's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I mean this in no disrespect at all, but comparing pokémon X and Y footage with WiiU games is an overstatement. I know the games aren't finished yet, but the overworld does look pretty sloppy and just very much reminds me so much of pokémon black and white. I'm not a "graphics whore" at all, and I don't think all games need super advanced high realistic graphics, on the contrary! But I do believe the WiiU is capable of doing more for the pokémon franchise than the 3DS does (from a graphical point of view) Look it's not like I would expect another main series game on the WiiU, as I already stated in my previous post. I want something NEW for the WiiU, something that uses the unique abilities of the system to make a better game. Pokémon X and Y is a natural progression of the series, and although the graphics might be in full 3D this time, it still is the same grid based overworld with the same battle system. And I don't have any problems with that, it works great on portable systems. I just would really love it if the developers found a way to take the pokémon experience to the WiiU without making it another kiddie game. And something like Ni no Kuni does look very tempting. I mean if so many other studios can make portable and console versions of their games, there must be a way to adjust the pokémon franchise to make it work on home consoles without losing the typical "main series" on the portable systems. It's not like I'm expecting game freak to dramatically alter the main series. I just wish they tried something new (yet hardcore) for the WiiU, unrelated to the main series. -
Pokemon Wii U (Wanted / Why isn't it happening?)
M_rock replied to Retro_Link's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I don't want the main series to change at all, but I do want a good console game too. I mean it wouldn't hurt trying right? They already took the risk of "damaging the pokémon franchise" by releasing so many spin off series like pokémon ranger, pokémon mystery dungeon, pokémon rumble, pokémon trozei, pokémon snap and so on and so on. All those titles didn't ruin the pokémon image, so I don't see why releasing a WiiU title would hurt it. It doesn't even matter if it's classified as a main series game or as a spin off game. People just want something like colosseum, but well done. -
Let's hear it for a new record from our local muscleman!

Happy birthday! Hope you enjoy it! -
I have a weak spot for disney things, but I have to resist buying this one!

When Nintendo almost took their Peripherals too far!
M_rock replied to Retro_Link's topic in General Gaming Discussion
That knitting add-on would be so perfect for Animal Crossing. We could print all kinds of stuffs with pixel patterns haha! :p -
Yes you can, but you need to make the purchase on your DSi. And both your 3DS and your DSi must be linked to the same club nintendo account if I remember correclty After you purchased the games on your DSi, you just do a normal system transfer to the 3DS and voila! The DSi games are on the 3DS now. The amount of system transfers you are able to do is limited to each system though (I think you can only do it 5 times in total)
-
Oh well if they are releasing it in other countries outside of Japan, that's good news! It must mean they are able to supply enough special 3DS cards for that region.
-
My points are expiring too I was hoping that after they renewed the nintendo site they would let you convert stars into nintendo e-shop value, but it's still not available... I guess I'll use my stars to purchase nintendo points, and buy some dsiware games and then do a system transfer to my 3DS pffft
-
The good news is though that 3DS games can't be hacked so far. So we'll keep more or less oblivious about the game mechanics of this game. I'm sure the major mechanics will be more or less the same, but I don't think people will be able to get the base stats for each pokémon etc. without hacking.

This seems pretty interesting. In the second picture the trainer doesn't have the sunglasses, so maybe we do get character customization!
-
I'm really excited to find out what this is all about! I know everybody is hoping for a full 3D game, but I actually would prefer a world made of beautiful spritework haha

Happy birthday to both of you! -
Zelda games push the graphical capabilities of the nintendo consoles, and it's always been that way. Every Zelda game looked great, think of Ocarina of time, the wind waker, twillight princess and skyward sword! I would never have thought the gamecube was capable of so much until I saw twillight princess and the wind waker! You like the art styles or you don't, but I really think that they are quite important to gaming in general. Wind waker still looks gorgeous and it's almost 10 years old. Of course if you don't like the Zelda franchise, you won't like this book... that's quite obvious
-
Wow, clearly there is much more than only a timeline in this book! I'm buying it for all the gorgeous concept art, that's what I'm really interested in! Saying that a book full of concept art from the total series is a dog turd would be incredibly disrespectful in my eyes.

I have the normal edition on pre-order on the book depository for €27 (must be around £22). They do free delivery to Belgium though :p
-
I really hope these kind of cards show up soon! The shops here in Belgium aren't even selling normal eshop cards yet. It's really weird since they do sell wii and dsi point cards. They have no idea what an eshop card is.
