the thing that amuses me is the idea that machines will somehow rise up and kill and enslave us all. this is only possible if we give them factories, bodies and the knowledge, on purpose, on how to achieve all that. Not to mention a cause to do so. I love Cameron movies too, but it's not going to happen.

I've been in the library all day. I'm actually having an alright time of it as I'm making notes on an essay for my favourite module, cultural revolution in the sixties. Wierdly, one of my main source texts is written by my tutor, who'll be my internal marker for the essay. Never had that before and I'm being really, really careful about getting it right and by the book.

Just a quick note to you folk- one of the destinations for the latest free migration move is my very own Dentarg server. Should any of you find a change of scene from any of the servers seelcted for movement and play alliance, feel free to consolodate the n-europe-ness in one place!

yeah it's kinda fun. Diplomacy is similar, only with no dice so it's all based on your skill to out think and manipulate the other players with alliances and deals, hence the name.

I'm thinking the same. I have a 34 shammie but to be quite frank, I'm not that bothered to do it all again. I've decided to get an epic flyer on my warrior (again- will power snapped last time) and I'm on the brink of raiding and heroics now with my new guild. Much more interesting, especially with shattered sun dailies which I love doing. nearly got 2k saved now. that's mostly from 2.4 onwards, too.

nah. As much as I like the horde, I already have my warlock to see their stuff with and one of the only things I can say is getting me any alt play is the knowledge that i never have to save up for a mount again, now that 80g is a light daily session away.

I dunno. Thing is, it's luck pretending to be skill so games are invariably dragged out, odds dodging fiascos. I find that entirely vapid and boring. What you really need is Diplomacy or Catanfor some proper deal making human variable style gaming. They're so much more fun.

my status as an altoholic seems to have waned- I made a druid because I want a healer and druids are good for it but the thought of the first 30 levels again actually makes me so apathetic I fear for my brain activity. still. I would like one. Conundrum.

I like knowing I have an awesome taste in music. Not to be arrogant, but I do! I'll listen to just about anything somebody suggests just to see if they're right, I've got a good ear for quality, a wide appreciation of genres and styles. In short, it's all good in the hood. by comparison, my friend who thinks he has the best taste in music is wrong, mostly because he's becoming a massive snob about it. He's in to pretty complex glitch electro and the like but it seems more and more the case that he listens to little else. Just last week we were doing a hard drive media swap and he was mocking some really, really good stuff of mine for being 'simplistic' or somesuch. I'm pretty sure he's becoming the electro version of a jazz snob, and he's got a much worse collection for it. Thing is, he has no idea what he's doing!

I just watched Gone With The Wind In retrospect, knowing it was about 4 hours long was information I should have pieced together long before I started watching it at about half nine. still: probably the most epic thing I've ever seen. Just an incredible production, really. Especially for it's time. Also, Leigh is quite possibly one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen. 10/10

I've been playing Diplomacy alot of late. It's an ace game that plays a bit like a turn of the century Risk where there's no dice to remove chance and all the skill is in forming alliances and deals with other players. It's ace. I also just bought Settlers of Catan, which is well good.
